If you are coming to this part of Colorado to get away from the heat...don't. it was near 90 every day we were there. We were actually closer to Montrose than Ridgeway, but that is not the point. The park is clean and neat but not dog friendly. Your dog can't go here, it can't go there and the dog walks are mostly weeds with goat heads or just rock. If there is green grass, it can't go there. I only noticed two kids but I think they were visitors to the RVers, because I didn't see them again. The WI-FI is spotty and super slow. They promised it would be fixed next week. A lot of things will be "fixed next week" as new owners have taken over. I didn't like the fact that you are face to face with another RV pulled in the opposite way and you have to share grass. This is a big rig type of park as there were only three of us "little guys" (travel trailers). Do not get in the first two rows next to the highway. It is a busy road. Spots 1-10 or 11-20 are preferred (back two rows). It can be a dusty park, too. It gets windy there! We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Do not attempt to drive a big rig into Ouray. Use your towed (or tow) vehicle. The streets are narrow and full of pedestrians who have the right of way and take it freely. Telluride is even worse!

We really enjoyed this campground! It is about 10 minutes south of Montrose, but was worth the drive. The sites and roads are wide and very easy to navigate. Sites were level and had lots of grass on either side. Quite a few seasonal residents, but everything was clean and not at all junky. There are some campers & RVs being stored off to the side, but even that was clean and clutter free. Owners were friendly and helpful. Biggest "problems" were laundry and wifi. There are only two washers & dryers and it's a pretty big campground. The couple of times I tried to do laundry, there wasn't anything available. Also, the wifi wasn't the greatest and neither was the cell service (AT&T). Owners are working on upgrading the wifi, so hopefully that will improve soon. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Be careful with your awning. We were warned of high winds, so we didn't extend the awning unless we were outside. One afternoon a VERY gusty rain/thunderstorm came through that rattled the entire rig. We saw a couple of folks struggling with their awning...we were very glad ours was closed. Nothing to worry about, just something to be aware of.

Well run, clean park, good spacing between rigs. Would love to give these guys a 10 rating, but their Internet is not good. Rate above is a monthly rate - they claim to have improved their Internet. But it is not good. I get bumped off in the middle of the day while on a website. No excuse given the location and lack of interfering structures. Plus they charge you $5 to wash your car/truck. Really? $5? I blow through that much water cleaning my black tank...pretty silly "rule." New owners who have spiffed the place up. We'd stay here again but we use our phones as hot spots for better WiFi. In today's world, there are absolutely no excuses for bad WiFi. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great access to Ouray, Ridgway scenic areas, Million $ Highway, Telluride and more. Ridgway farmers market Fridays 10 am - 3 pm. Free concerts on Thursday nights! Be sure to do the scenic drive through Gateway, Colorado, starting just south of Grand Junction, take Highway 141 off of Highway 50 heading west. EASY TO MISS - keep your eyes peeled. This drive is one of the finest we have been on in our three years of full-timing. Don't miss it.

Reserved two sites in April for July trip. One site very good, the other site was overflow site, not near as good. No price difference. Were told most sites reserved a year in advance. No wifi the three nights we stayed. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

The park has 60 sites, ten in each row. With the exception of the end sites they are all buddy sites, but the grass area in between them is very wide. Roads are wide and easy to navigate. We were in site 50 which is an end site so we had no neighbor and lots of room. All sites are pull through with full hook ups and a picnic table. Even though the campground is on Hwy 550 the traffic noise was minimal. The park was well maintained. WiFi was weak, our Verizon signal was good. We stayed July 18-21, 2017 and paid $54.42 a night with no discount. They offer Passport but not during tourist season. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

This RV park was right off the highway, and just a gravel parking lot; HOWEVER, was a superb spot to stay for a few days. The staff was super friendly from reservation to checkout; awesome customer service. They take great care in the landscaping (grass on each site, cut regularly), and there were planted flowers everywhere, such a nice cozy place. The bathrooms were sparkling clean, even cleaner than I kept my bricks and sticks home! The laundry room was also sparkling. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We went to Ouray, a very charming town, and enjoyed their June outdoor music series (free)...so nice to see kids running and dogs all over the place. Montrose had anything you might need as far as groceries, gas. Ridgeway State Park was nearby and a perfect spot to swim or canoe, paddleboard, and had a local farmer's market on Fridays.

This is our second time at this park. We did a week last year and did a month this year. While we were there, the park was only about 25% full. This was very nice as we had a lot of space to spread out. The sites share a grassy area that you share with a neighbor when you have a neighbor. This is fine but if both of you have dogs, it may cause an issue. They kept the grounds mowed and well watered and groomed. We had several windy days and every evening the hosts would come out and pick up all the broken branches. While we were there new owners took over the park. They updated the office and out buildings with new paint. Although we thought the wifi worked pretty good, they were adding new towers the day we left. Hopefully they add a dog park and offer some social activities. Wife said the showers and bathrooms were immaculate and water pressure and temp was good. Her only complaint is that the washers and dryers were not great. And she got pretty upset when one of the camp hosts took up all of the machines one morning. Roads and sites are very easy to navigate with a big rig. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Awesome park - would have rated 10 if it had a fenced in off leash dog area. Really nice park - be sure to ask for a site on back due to road noise up front. About 15 minutes from town. Very long sites, gravel with a lot of wonderful grass between sites. Lanes are wide and gravel. Beautiful large trees throughout the park. Sites very roomy. Park exceptionally well cared for. Hook ups worked well. Good cable TV. WIFI okay. Nice town of Montrose. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely return. Park was a blessing after 3 weeks of travels. It was about 1/4 full as closing was approaching. It is close to the highway but we were in the rear portion near open fields so it was quiet. Sites and roads are gravel. It was windy 1 day but I didn't notice any dust. Roads are wide and easy to get around. Sites are long with plenty of room for our rig. Utilities are between sites so RV's are set front to back with a good grass space for each. Thet are only a few over the air tv stations but our roof top satellite was able to lock in well. Staff was very friendly and had our site ready when we arrived and we checked in quickly later in the day. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed a week. The season was ending here the second week of October and the park only had a dozen sites occupied. We had a patio side end spot which was awesome. We had to pay $18 extra for use of the 50 amp service. HUGE grassy patio area with picnic table, two shade tress and a flower bed. The patio was so huge that RVers tended to walk through it on the way to the trash, the only down side. The sites are pull through and arranged so that you share the utility side and share a patio, unless you get one of the end spots and have the patio to yourself. The interior roads are gravel, wide and easy to navigate. The sites are gravel and level with grass patios and picnic tables. Each shared patio has a nice large shade tree. The utilities worked fine. There is no cable and just a few over the air. Satellite reception was good. The absolute star was the WiFi.....killer. So nice to see an RV park commit to good WiFi. Management was nice and very helpful with suggestions on what to do. Even had free Colorado state maps. The restrooms are very nice but the water in the shower was not hot enough. Very convenient to everything. A little highway noise but not too bad. Beautiful starry nights. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park for a over a week during September. It was a great jumping off point for Montrose, Black Canyon, Telluride, Ouray, etc. The sites are nice and wide, and long enough to easily accommodate our 40ft rig + tow. There is green grass between sites, but you do face your neighbor. I didn't mind, as we weren't outside at the same time.

The sites have trees, some provide ample shade, and some too skinny for shade. There is road noise, but I could sit outside and read without being distracted by it. The scenery is amazing; you can see the San Juan's in the distance.

The staff was very friendly, and constantly ride around the park to make sure everything is in tip top shape. No issues with cell service or wifi. The park is a good size, and easy to navigate. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We came without a reservation but there was "Room at the Inn".

Camp Hosts welcomed us with enthusiastic kindness. The next morning the Managers were full of the same energy and spirit.

The grounds are beautiful and clean. The bathrooms are extremely clean. The Wifi is super fast. There are full trees in some spots and new trees growing in others. Our spot had shade which was nice.

What else can I say. We are already making plans for a return to the area next year and we will definitely stay here again! It's worth every cent.

Even though this is by the highway it was still nice and quiet. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great park to visit Montrose, Ouray, Telluride. I like the layout. Large deep and wide sites. When you sit outside you are not looking at your neighbors sewer line and other hook ups. There is a nice grassy area between you and the other facing coach. The sites are deep so you do not but up against the neighbor on the utility side. The coaches are back to back - no issue with slides looking at each other. Great staff. Only issue is the sites closest to the highway get road noise. The streets and sites are all gravel, but no issue with dust. We will be back and stay longer. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed 4 nights. Very central to see Montrose, Ouray, Silverton, and Telluride. Would definitely stay again. This park is right off Hwy 550 so is fairly noisy during the day. But by sundown the traffic drops to near zero so is great to sit outside and enjoy the evening. We noted 2 negatives. One being the daytime traffic noise, but this could be reduced by requesting a site near the back. The second is that all lots are paired so that you face your neighbor. We just do not care for this layout and would not have stayed here except that since they were not busy they gave us a site with no one on the opposing side. Staff was very friendly, gave us an escort to our site, and checked back after we had hooked up to see if every thing was OK. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed this park. Nice level and long gravel sites. The way it is configured is that you park side to side but not looking into your neighbors rig. Nice size grassy area with picnic tables. The park only had about 10 other people there at this time of year so that made it even better. Wifi was excellent. Only OTA TV and very few stations. The park is about 10 miles from Montrose which is a perfect size town and has everything you would need. Ridgway State Park is 5 miles away and the town of Ouray is about 10 more miles past that.
