Almost $98 for 2 nights after GS discount! A sign said $45 for 50 amp. Should have been $81 plus tax. No office, my husband got out of the truck to seek assistance when we arrived. Finally someone came over in a golf cart and demanded my Drivers license. Turns out they don't take credit cards, only check and cash. No Clubhouse. No amenities at all. No cable, a few broad cast though. No Usable wifi. 1 shower, 1 commode for entire park, which turns out is for tenters only! Big dirt, gravel (and mud when we arrived). Pull troughs are side by side hookups,We were ten feet from our neighbors slide Our site was not level. ",Riverside' sites face back of shopping center. We have never paid so much for so little. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We pulled in around 7pm and were still greeted and led to our site. The park is right by the river and all gravel (white rock) and nice trees. There were a lot of mosquitoes due to two small ponds in the center of the park that appeared rather stagnant. It was a very quiet park. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped for an overnight on our way to Estes Park. Not a bad park but overpriced for what it is like a lot of others in this area. We were told that they only had one space left for our 41 foot 5th wheel and it was a back in on the river that we could have for 55.00. I told the camp host that I didn't want to pay 13 dollars extra just to be close to a river and told him that I would pay the 45.00 if he wanted me to stay and he agreed to that. Both spaces on either side of me were vacant all night so I guess the one space that they had left wasn't true. They don't have on office, just a camp host and after we were set up the camp host came by to collect the fee and then we found out that they only take cash or check, no credit or debit cards which wasn't any big deal. Then we were told that they charge for pets and we have two small dogs but since we weren't told that before hand they decided not to charge for the pets which was a good thing because I would have left before I would pay extra for the two small puppies. They don't use any of their services so why should you have to pay for them. I wouldn't mind staying here again but I think next time I would look around and see if there is something better in the area. I will say that the camp hosts were very friendly. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Good shady pull through. The escort saw that we had dogs and made sure we had a shady site. Very friendly and helpful staff. I needed propane, they picked up and delivered mine at a very reasonable price. The addition of a dog park would make it a 9. I will stay here again. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rate way too high for facilities provided. Only one unisex bathroom/shower with no toilet paper or paper towels. No pool no grass in most of the park. Additional charges depending on area of the park you are staying in. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Travel Trailer.

Side by side sites, host was very good on assigning you site as long as there was a space open did not place a camper nest to you. Is a quiet campground locater north of town. Spent two days at campground. Need to pay by check or cash does not take credit or debt card. Has a large area for family reunions cabins available. Would stay there again. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Motorhome.

Rate shown is monthly and electricity was added to this. The location is great if you want to be close to town (which is why we chose it)...and it's nice to be on the river. The sites are all gravel and extremely tight, even sharing the water line. There is no office, just one of the full time residents that checks you in. Those folks are nice, but the owner is quite a difficult person. The park is just minimally maintained. Bring cash or check, as they don't take credit cards. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Motorhome.

No office, but a golf cart mobile check-in. As discussed by phone, cash or check only.

Friendly guy on duty escorted us to our small site (side-by-side). We had to share one picnic table with one neighbor and one sewer connection with the other. I hate side-by-side sites with strangers, especially when door-to-door distance is about 15 ft.

Only ten sites are available at the actual river side, rest of the sites are situated on one big gravel 'parking lot', with trees providing some shade.

No restrooms and showers.

Park is nearby highway, but quit day and night and situated along a nice fast flowing (at this time anyway) stream.

Wi-Fi excellent, strong signal and fast.

We found the price of $ 42 high, compared to other camp grounds in Montrose with more and better amenities. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I would of rated this park higher but the lack of cable tv and wifi that was practically non-existent resulted in a lower rating. Overall a nice park with gravel sites and roadway, fairly level sites and located on a nicely flowing river. Its only a couple of miles out of town and fairly easy access to goods and services. There is no office and the single restroom is located in the laundry room which has 2 washer/dryer machines. Overall its an "OK" park that seems to be overpriced due to the lack of tv and poor wifi. We moved to another nearby park and got better pricing with tv service and a working wifi. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Motorhome.

We are here for a month and it has served our purpose well. Water pressure is good and the water is great. Voltage is very good. There are no restrooms or showers or laundry. It is very close to most of the necessary shopping in Montrose. We are in a level site with some shade. The only issue this time of the year is the darned Cottonwood tree snow that happens for a few weeks. If we are back in the area we have discovered another park we would go to instead. It has bathrooms, showers, etc. This park only takes cash or checks. We paid $485 with tax for the month and also paid $120 for electric. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice level sites. Manager helpful and friendly. This park is close to town, but quiet at night. The only problem we had was the droppings from the resident geese. Managers cleaned it up before we parked. They moved on to another roosting spot. The rate reflects a monthly stay which was $450 plus electric. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Motorhome.

This lady is beyond nice, but becomes somewhat overbearing. There is no office but the owners live on site, and check you in from a golf cart. They would not take credit cards but wanted cash or check. It is basically a large gravel area along the fast moving river. Mostly under trees, it is shady. They have a number of camper cabins. I did feel she priced us based on our rig, and ability to pay. There was no bath house, but rather a door led into the back of their house. It had a couple of washers and one lavatory and shower. I did feel like I was intruding to use the facility, and did not return or ask again. For $40 bucks you would think you would have a public bathroom. The utilities were fine, and the location is really great to the newer part of town. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Motorhome.

It is very pricey for not having restroom facilities. Passport America was not honored because there were already to many PA customers in park. They all looked seasonal to me. The host was not extremely friendly. She helped us back up and started getting snippy and making faces because we couldn't put our camper in the exact spot she wanted. If she would have driven us to the spot in the right direction it would have been a lot easier. We would definitely prefer the other parks over this one south of town. We would not stay here again. This park was a clean and secure crushed-rock park. Managers were fastidious and conscientious, if a little/lot overboard when checking in. Free Wi-Fi and the other utilities worked well. We stayed a month and would stay again. Location is central to all the area attractions and close to Montrose. If you want to backup to the river, then this is the place. Great walking and biking trails along the river inter-connecting the city parks. There is no club house or office. Owner has house on site and a park hosts handles most of the tasks. There are about a dozen park model cottages as well. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Fifth Wheel.

On the plus side: sites are gravel (which keeps down dust) with shade trees on the perimeter and a nice common area in the center with grass and two picnic tables and shade. Premium sites back onto the river (with the rear of Target on the opposite bank). Some sites have their own picnic table. Staff is friendly. Strong and free wi-fi connection. On the minus side: no activity building, no laundry, no restrooms (only a pair of absolutely horrid porta-potties in the common area), no shower, no store, no pool, no book exchange -- no amenities at all. Passport America is accepted weekdays only. It is handy to town, but we won't be staying here again. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Motorhome.
