15 Parks near Olathe, Colorado
Jul 2016 - $40.00
Beautifully landscaped clean park with mature trees. Spacious concrete pads. Would have given a 10 rating but no picnic table or fire ring. Very friendly/helpful staff. Good Verizon and Wifi reception. No Direc Tv reception due to trees on our site. Cable available, ours was a snowy reception, not sure if a park issue or our issue. - a_d travelers_2
Jul 2016 - $20.00
This campground is beautiful. Expected some trailers, etc., but was surprised to find a shady, grassy campground with long pull-thrus on concrete pads. They had happy hour outside the clubhouse and invited us to join. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Several full-timers were there for the summer, all with immaculate sites.
The owners obviously care a lot about this park and work hard to keep it beautiful. Wish we could stay longer than the 2 nights we have. Highly recommend. - villager
Jun 2016 - $40.00
The park is well off the highway, exceptionally clean and well kept, with numerous flower beds and mature trees. We did have to back into our pull-through site, possibly because one of the long term residents was blocking access to pull-through. Our site was long and level, with a concrete pad for the RV and a concrete patio. There was plenty of room to park the toad, just not behind the RV. Utilities were fine, with notable wifi speed and strength. We had good AT&T coverage and a clear satellite view. There appeared to be only 2 transients while we were there, but the long term folk seemed friendly enough. On the less good side, it did seem a little expensive for a small town park. Maybe that's why it wasn't full. There is a large area in the unused section of the park that we used to run our dogs, and no one complained. All in all, it's a good place, and we had a good stay. - Just Dave
Sep 2015 - $46.00
Based on the prior reviews and overall ratings, we were excited to stay here. We didn't see what the hype is all about, unfortunately. We did like being very close to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, which was our main reason for being in Montrose. We stayed in Ouray a few years ago and had an entirely different (better) experience.
*In town, 20 min from NP
*Grass, nice spot, easy in and out
*Quick check in
*Talked to the manager, Debbie at one point about a rude/difficult full timer and she was understanding and apologetic
*Not a great part of town, we were yelled at rudely when our nav app "Waze" sent us down the wrong street behind the KOA, and we actually felt unsafe
*About 50% of the park are residents; left early on weekdays, not very friendly, and didn't seem to have a lot of pride in their spots
*No dog run at all - need it!
*Lots of mosquitos = lots of bites, and of course realized it the next day after lots of itching
*No fire rings
*Hot tub was small, above ground. Was hoping for a nice, big, in-ground jacuzzi, so we didn't use it, but had hoped to. - Dank
Sep 2015 - $45.00
This is a very nice park and we had a great site. The only downside we saw was the large percentage of long term residents in the park who do not maintain their site well - and no enforcement by the owners to make them do so. - AZSwede
Aug 2015 - $45.00
Beautiful park. I am not a KOA fan but this park is terrific. Great level sites, grass and trees. Excellent Wi-Fi, Stayed for a week. This park is as good as it gets. - Chuck333
Aug 2014 - $28.00
I stayed here for nine days in site P-5. This park is great! The owners and staff are very nice and helpful. The grounds are well manicured, the showers/bath rooms were excellent. Water pressure in the showers is great and you never run out of hot water. The Wi-Fi signal is excellent, very good at site TV. Propane is available at an excellent price. You are within in walking distance to Safeway, Wal-Mart, Taco Bell, Sonic and several other businesses. There is an active train track but it never once bothered me or anyone I spoke with. This is by far the best park in the area. - tomlandis54
Jul 2010 - $24.00
Lots of people living here. Some of the sites were very cluttered! Owners say they are trying to fix it up, but it needs lots of work. At the back of the park there are leased/owned units that are very nice. Yes, we would come back. The rate we quoted reflects a weekly rate. - RV Roving Seeker
Jun 2010 - $27.00
There are 3 RV parks in Delta. All are older but adequate. This is the first time I've stayed at this park. Don't be deceived by the older appearance. I was a little leery when I pulled in, and by the "biker" appearing owners. They were very nice and helpful. Satellite has 20 TV stations. WiFi worked very well at my spot - B3. Pool looked very nice although small. Bathrooms/showers were old but clean. Spot was level. There are a lot of trees. I will choose this park when I come back to Delta. - gottacruise
Sep 2012 - $27.00
Run by a very nice Swiss couple. I stayed here with my dog. I was extremley pleased with the CG. Other residents were friendly and helpful. They have their own propane fill station. I didn't use either the separate bath or laundry facilities, but I snuck a peek and they were very clean and each site is issued a key during check-in. I fully intend to stay here in the future. - hank h
Jun 2011 - $26.00
We stayed here one night as we were passing through visiting family in Delta. There are a lot of full-timers here and a lot of the campground is pretty run down. Bathrooms and showers were okay. I think it's the best choice in town, but would not choose to stay here if we had another choice. Office staff was very nice. Short walk to view the river. - jonkat+2
Sep 2009 - $27.00
An older park. The bathrooms/showers appeared to be clean, but the building is old. Cable TV worked well. Wi-Fi is dependent on the site. Mine worked but was a little slow. The lady in the office was very nice. I stayed here 2 nights. - gottacruise
Jun 2013 - $32.00
Riverwood is a combination hotel and RV park. It's an older establishment, but well maintained. The majority of the park is permanent residents, a few of which were quite messy. The evenings were quiet with the exception of some road noise. Most, if not all, of the spots are back-in. The staff was very friendly and even guided us to our spot and helped back us in. Occasionally, there was a slight hint of sewer odor. We would stay there again, if we could get a spot away from the restroom and highway. - Clayhammer
Dec 2012 - $30.00
The young man that assisted us was very nice. We were the only Overnighter in the park, the rest of the park was Full Timers. Most of the RV's appear that they had been here for some time. A few sites were doubled up, some sites needed to be cleaned up a little. The park was very quiet, everything worked just fine. It was easy in and easy out. - sidbartello
Aug 2011 - $30.00
Lots of permanent rigs at this campground. Some shade trees, but it was very hot here in August. Full hook-ups, cable TV. An OK overnight spot. Definitely nothing fancy. - billb1959
Jul 2016 - $41.00
A nice park, friendly staff; right in town and close to everything in Montrose, but quiet at night. Lots of trees provide good shade but may interfere with satellite reception. Mostly pull-through sites but some back-ins. Level gravel sites with lots of grass in the park. Cable TV but not many channels and some of them did not work or had poor reception. We never were able to connect to the Wi Fi. Not much in the way of amenities except for a mini gold course and playground. Only about 20 minutes to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. - Ray Z
Oct 2015 - $37.00
Very helpful staff, went out of their way to make sure everyone got into their sites and gave great suggestions on where to go and what to see. All sites seemed to be pull thru with full hookups and a picnic table. A lot of trees for shade but it does cut down the ability to get satellite. Don't follow GPS directions into the park if you can avoid it. The GPS systems all seem to bring you thru a congested alleyway behind a shopping strip. We recommend calling and getting directions from the staff at the park. - ParksFam
Sep 2015 - $1.00
Not the place to come for ambiance, but it's close to town and convenient. All gravel lot and for a larger motorhome (we are 43 ft.) it's a bit tight getting around. That is mostly because the sites are not long and everyone has to park their vehicles in the driveways between rows. The site next to ours (we were in the back row) had a huge tree in the front of the site. We watched a smaller MH try to park there and they broke their mirror on the tree! There is no way they would have fit in that site, so not sure why they were put there. They ended up parking behind the tree, which left the back of their coach hanging out in the driveway, which meant no one could get through that way. The dog park is big, but in the week we were there, no one emptied the trash bin and is was overflowing with poop filled bags. It is also basically weeds and dirt, but thankfully no goat head stickers. The owner is super nice, but I think we would opt to stay elsewhere if we came through again. - scubajoe
Jul 2015 - $15.00
Although this Lodge only offers 30 and 50 amp electric hookups, the power is very good...no surges, brown-outs, etc. In fact, it's so good that we parked/set up both 30 and 50 amp Motorhomes in one site (very roomy sites) and the power never fell below 118. Backin sites. I would stay here again. There's water spigots for your convenience. - Br catlady
Aug 2015 - $40.00
Side by side sites, host was very good on assigning you site as long as there was a space open did not place a camper nest to you. Is a quiet campground locater north of town. Spent two days at campground. Need to pay by check or cash does not take credit or debt card. Has a large area for family reunions cabins available. Would stay there again. - Roger from boise
Jul 2015 - $16.00
Rate shown is monthly and electricity was added to this. The location is great if you want to be close to town (which is why we chose it)...and it's nice to be on the river. The sites are all gravel and extremely tight, even sharing the water line. There is no office, just one of the full time residents that checks you in. Those folks are nice, but the owner is quite a difficult person. The park is just minimally maintained. Bring cash or check, as they don't take credit cards. - silverqueen
Jul 2015 - $40.00
No office, but a golf cart mobile check-in. As discussed by phone, cash or check only.
Friendly guy on duty escorted us to our small site (side-by-side). We had to share one picnic table with one neighbor and one sewer connection with the other. I hate side-by-side sites with strangers, especially when door-to-door distance is about 15 ft.
Only ten sites are available at the actual river side, rest of the sites are situated on one big gravel 'parking lot', with trees providing some shade.
No restrooms and showers.
Park is nearby highway, but quit day and night and situated along a nice fast flowing (at this time anyway) stream.
Wi-Fi excellent, strong signal and fast.
We found the price of $ 42 high, compared to other camp grounds in Montrose with more and better amenities. - Bluesbirdy
Jul 2016 - $21.00
Nice campground, very clean. Lot spacing places your neighbor nearby. Gravel pads featuring a fire ring and picnic table. Deer wonder through all day long. - TweenerLJ
Jul 2016 - $14.00
Our site was pull-thru, close and parallel to the B-loop road. It was on an incline so front-to-back leveling took some effort. We were shaded by beautiful Gambel oak, and the area was frequented by mule deer. Water is trucked in. The only tap in the area was a water fountain with spigot for filling water bottles. There is no wifi, and our Verizon hotspot couldn't find a connection But it's a national park; who needs wifi? - Desert Beacon
Nov 2015 - $21.00
Great view of the canyon. Rangers were extremely helpful. We pulled in late and two rangers helped us find a spot and get situated. Sites are dispersed among a scrubby forested area. I wouldn't recommend taking any huge rigs here, branches stick out over the road. Overall a great stay at a very cool park. Be sure to check out the ranger talks at the nearby amphitheater. The canyon is breathtaking. - Keystone_Traveler
Jun 2013 - $46.00
This CG is now a Jellystone Park campground. Clean facilities and well laid out. Close proximity to Montrose. The hosts went out of their way to include our children in camp activities (hay rides, nature walks, crafts, etc. Very nice people for sure. Clean laundry facilities, showers, and bathrooms. Game room was more my speed- pool tables, ping pong, shuffleboard (not a bunch of video games) kept the kids busy. The pull through sites are easy to get in and out of. Most of the trees are fairly young and will take a few years to provide large amounts of shade. Most of the sites are wide open which was ok. It seems like new ownership and they are working hard (and doing a good job) of keeping the place up. Nice clean playground with picnic areas. Unfortunately a fire ban was in effect so no campfires, but they do have community set ups for it. My only gripe was the pool water temp. I presume it was early enough in the season and they had not gotten the system up and running at full speed. Water temps were 68-69*F. Rather chilly by my standards, but the kids still put up with it. Plenty of things to see in the surrounding mountains, kept us busy for a week. Would come here again. - scottykrug
Jul 2012 - $37.00
Friendly staff, clean bathrooms and showers. The pool and hot tub were also well maintained. We stayed and attended the Night Vision festival in Olathe, CO. We will stay again for next year’s festival. Rate was with AAA discount. - Bayfield Family Campers
Jul 2010 - $31.00
New owners trying very hard to improve this park. From long term residents I understand that previous owners let the park deteriorate badly. We found the owner to be friendly, the sites were very large, WiFi worked, got a few local TV stations using our rig's antenna. Conveniently located for anyone who wants to see Ouray, Silverton or Telluride but doesn't not want to take their big rigs to those locations. We hope that the new owner is successful in building back the clientel who used to enjoy this convenient location. We would stay here again should we ever return to the Montrose area. - lonroberts
