3 Parks near Ouray, Colorado
Jul 2015 - $36.00
We stayed only one night but would have loved to extend it!
I understand why some would complain and didn't like it and I think I would have felt the same if we didn't have a River site!! Yes, that's right! It is the only RV park that's literally in downtown Ouray, but on the edge of it, meaning the mountain is in front of you there's no where to go, and I mean that it's absolutely awesome, it left me in Awe for hours.
Wii is OK, Verizon worked great, I didn't use bathrooms so can't say anything about that.
In other words, everything that people complained about in their reviews of the park is probably true Unless you ask for the River back in spots, it's just awesome, the river is loud but amazing (we personally love it). - MikeMayNaama

I'm here before Memorial Day, so I almost have run of the place. I can see it getting very crowded and busy here, due to the lay-out of the spaces (close together) and the primo location within downtown Ouray. The welcome & service was warm & friendly.
There is a Club House that houses very clean and spacious shower/restrooms, a reading/TV/internet room. I had excellent wifi inside my TT.
This facility is well thought-out for the space they had to work with, and is within 2 blocks walk of Main Street and the town hot springs pool. Oh, and a mountain river runs along it that makes that unique noise that knocks you out at night! - metalsideup

Ouray is in a tight valley, so not a lot of room for RV parks. We got the last spot at this park, with just water and electric for $37 a night plus tax. The sites are REALLY close to each other. Zero privacy. ATVs/Jeeps constantly going through campground. A lot of kids. Pretty loud during the day, but quiet at night. It is walking distance to town and the hot springs (about a 10 minute walk to both). Restrooms were pretty good. Cell signal not a problem as it's in town. - snowave

Best experience we've ever had. We were lucky to get a campsite right across from the office, the hot tub and the restaurant -all the good amenities. We had a nice shady spot. Would highly recommend this facility. People were so nice and friendly. - Wendy_H_B

Our site was back in to the river, we loved it! After walking around we saw that some sites were more specious and with grass (the single number sites like 5/6/7 etc).
The park itself doesn't seem to be so upscale but it's actually pretty big and very charming since it has different niches of camping.
I would definitely go back but will ask for the River back in with grass sites.
We stayed there for only 2 nights and the Wifi was actually not bad especially at night.
Verizon worked great!! - MikeMayNaama

There are 2 types of cabins, regular and deluxe. We stayed in both and they were both very clean and beautiful! Water is on the basic cabin site which makes it convenient. A perfect stay on a lovely location. Staff very accomodating. Clean laundry. - MeetTheGriswolds
Oct 2014 - $38.00
This is a good park with all the basic needs for a successful camping stay. The sites are level, all the hookups are functional, and there is a picnic table on each site. Satellite access for TV works well. The view of the surrounding and sheer mountain is terrific. On the negative side, the park is really a large gravel parking lot, and the park itself is not particularly attractive, even though the surrounding view is. We would stay here again, as this is a good jump-off point for all the surrounding activities in Ouray and nearby Silverton. I definitely would rather stay in Ouray than drive my RV up the narrow, winding road to Silverton. - hoppytoad
Aug 2014 - $45.00
The park is in a scenic setting with easy access to 4 wheel drive and hiking trails. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with. The park is capable of handling any size RV and the campsites are roomy with great views. The bathrooms have been recently updated and are in excellent condition. And the Wi-Fi is accessible from any area of the park for easy computer use. This is an excellent place to stay to see the San Juan Mountains and to enjoy Colorado. - 6133585

Positive points are that they are close to town and nice owners. Beyond that this is a gravel parking lot and there are many other options in Ouray. Very noisy road, as well. - lbrachfeld
