This is a great park if you want to be very close to Ouray. The best thing going for the park is its location, just a mile from the main part of town. It's a quick drive to get there, or you can walk along the riverwalk trail which runs right along the RV Park. The park is also right along the Uncompahgre River. The views from the park are wonderful, though the tall mountains to the east mean that you won't see the sun until two hours later than official sunrise! The free WiFi worked quite well, Verizon worked well, but AT&T data was very slow. The park is on the expensive side (we paid $54/night after tax), and is mostly just a gravel lot with hookups with very little in the way of landscaping. It's also fairly noisy since it's right on Highway 550. We might stay again, but would try to find something a little less expensive nearby first. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Overall very good, very crowded. But summer in Ouray is expected. Has large, wide, long spaces. Was gravel only, but easy access. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $55.00

One of our favorite parks ever. Friendly and super helpful owners and staff, and the greatest location. We chose a premium site which is right by the Uncompahgre River, and you can hear the rushing waters this time of year the moment you open your door. Great wifi, clean facilities, and within walking distance to town. We walked along the river several times a day as we made our way to the cute little town of Ouray. No bugs, AMAZING scenery, full hookups, close to town (about a 12 minute walk). Sites are gravel and fairly level. I can't say enough good things about this place, and we look forward to returning! We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Hot Springs, which is an 8-10 minute walk along the river. And if you like craft beer, you must try Ourayle Brewery and visit Mr. Grumpy Pants. Yelp for more details. Bring cash an prepare to have wonderful beer while meeting the brewmaster, bartender, and proprietor all in one person. Also, on Thursdays in June, there are free concerts in the park. This has been added to our list of favorite places to visit!

This park is under new ownership and they have increased the rates for the park. Not worth the value of the increase for what you get a gravel field with pedestals on the main highway. The laundry has old machines sitting around and not operational. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

The map on this site is wrong. The map actually shows the north end of 4J+1+1 campground. Ouray RV Park is 0.4 miles north. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Nice ,clean ,quiet park. We paid for 6 nights and got the seventh night free. Wi-fi worked very good at our site. Verizon cell work good at park. Close to downtown Ouray. Sites are just a hair close but that is the case in most parks. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Truck Camper.

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good park with all the basic needs for a successful camping stay. The sites are level, all the hookups are functional, and there is a picnic table on each site. Satellite access for TV works well. The view of the surrounding and sheer mountain is terrific. On the negative side, the park is really a large gravel parking lot, and the park itself is not particularly attractive, even though the surrounding view is. We would stay here again, as this is a good jump-off point for all the surrounding activities in Ouray and nearby Silverton. I definitely would rather stay in Ouray than drive my RV up the narrow, winding road to Silverton. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

The park is in a scenic setting with easy access to 4 wheel drive and hiking trails. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with. The park is capable of handling any size RV and the campsites are roomy with great views. The bathrooms have been recently updated and are in excellent condition. And the Wi-Fi is accessible from any area of the park for easy computer use. This is an excellent place to stay to see the San Juan Mountains and to enjoy Colorado. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

We reserved a cabin for our parents and an RV spot for us. We were able to be close to one another. When we backed in, we had a little trouble and the owner was there with a smile to help us. The restrooms were spotless, the coffee service area in the morning was as well. We had a little trouble getting our RV level but I suspect if we'd have moved over a bit it would have been perfect. The hookups worked great, we had no trouble getting good Wi-Fi. We were close to the river to take advantage of the river walk. Our stay was fantastic! We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Positive points are that they are close to town and nice owners. Beyond that this is a gravel parking lot and there are many other options in Ouray. Very noisy road, as well. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

The park is within walking distance to town and close to 4 wheeling trails which was nice and the river walk which we did nightly with our dog. However, it is basically a big gravel parking lot with no privacy whatsoever. The Wi-Fi was pretty bad unless you were close to the office. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we asked about local trails to do with our jeep. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

A beautiful setting in a mountain town. A few small trees but not too much shade. It looks to be one of the easier to get into big rig parks in the area. Easy access to the town. Wi-Fi is kind of spotty as some of the other reviewers mentioned. Would stay here again. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our first time to Ouray. Found this park on the internet and we lucked out. We Loved it! The owners and hosts were extremely friendly! They personally showed us to our site. We constantly saw them around the park checking on people and asking how everything was. Bathrooms are older, but they were always clean. Hot, fresh coffee in the morning (with cream and sugar available). There is a river, we asked to be away from it because of our kids, and they said it was no problem. We stayed 6 nights and will be back next year. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Truck Camper.

I have only two complaints about this campground. The spaces are narrow and trailers/motor homes are packed in here like sardines. Our neighbor's canopy nearly touches our trailer when extended. And, the WiFi is VERY slow. I realize we are staying through a holiday (July 4th), but wider spaces and upgraded Wifi (to handle the extra use) would be nice. Other than that, the campground is acceptable. A little beautification (trees, grass)wouldn't hurt. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The laundry was clean with an adequate number of washers and dryers. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Older park with gravel sites, uneven bumpy interior roads. Very friendly office staff. Our pull through site was wide and long. Water pressure is dangerously high. Very convenient to town. We would return. We camped at Ouray RV Park & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.
