Great place for overnight which is what we needed. Nancy very helpful. As other stated water needs a filter, but we had water on board so didn't hook up. Washers & dryers available, but they have a sign about water possibly making clothes, esp. whites dingy. I had to do one load & sign proved to be true, but it was ok. Washer $1.25/load & dryer $1.00/load for approx. 3o min. Also our site had plenty of room to leave truck hooked up to 5er since we were only staying one night. They don't have a lot of 50 amp hookups. Pretty popular CG along with some permanent sites, so I advise calling ahead of time to make sure they have a spot. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a nice WalMart in Pueblo West at McCullough (sp?) & Hwy 50 before getting to park (coming from east). Park is close to mile marker 298. Our GPS took us 3 miles past & then had us turn around & go back. CG bldg, which is on south side of road, looks like an old KOA & is only thing in that area.

This is a park in the process of becoming a great park. Owner managers are working very hard to make this a park you will want to return to over and over. While we were there they upgraded the electric service. The wifi is strong and always on and the Views are magnificent. The only reason we didn't stay longer is the park was booked up. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Exit the park to the left and take a side trip up to Canon City.

Very good interior gravel roads and gravel sites. Upgraded electric. They are working hard on renovations. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They have planted some trees and bushes but this is open country; dry and windy. So, if you are looking for something lush and forested this isn't it. This park is out of town (about 16 miles) and the area is open and wind swept with views of the mountains. It is next to U.S. Hwy 50 which is somewhat busy during peak rush hour. There is some traffic noise but it is better than being next to the Interstate or downtown. It does quiet down at night but we are very light sleepers so had to wear ear plugs and slept very well. I think this is an excellent value and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Former KOA that current owners appear to be working very hard to upgrade. Sites are quite a bit larger than typical KOA. Level sites, all utilities worked fine. Park seems to have a lot of seasonal campers. Park is located on a U.S. Highway, so some road noise. Apparently the well water can be cloudy, but we were informed in advance and brought our own drinking water. Nice mountain views in the distance. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall rating reflects the well water supplied to each campsite. But in all fairness the website does say to bring your own water. Now the good. Friendly and helpful check-in, great views of mountains, and very nice campers. Restrooms were very clean. Sties are gravel and double wide. There is so much pride by the owners in this campground it rubs off on all the other campers. Stayed 2 nights and would stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Do not use the campground water. Bring your own.

Pretty basic campground with minimal amenities. Our site was level so we didn't need blocking. Roads and sites are gravel and can be dusty in windy conditions. Electric, water and wifi all good. Very nice owners who were busy all the time improving things. We would stay here again for short trips. We stayed here in a 5th wheel. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly and extremely helpful. Nice level site. Easy hook ups and wifi excellent. Affordable laundry. Easy to find if you follow their directions, not your gps. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A quick 15 miles to the west side of Pueblo, 45 to Colorado Springs.

Stayed 8 nights (March 30-April 7, 2015). One of the friendliest campgrounds in 7 years of full-timing. Owners enjoy hosting campers and it shows in how they manage the campground and interact with campers. Very clean. 360-degree views of mountains and plains. Large easy in and easy out level graveled sites. (1-ton dually and 38-foot 3-slide fifth wheel) Great reliable WiFi. Easy on and off Hwy 50. They were working to get pool ready for season. Week we were there, they were working on a large dog run. Propane on site at fair price. They had a sign-up list in the laundry room for a campground potluck the weekend after we left. Laundry room clean with HOT water for whites and reasonable prices with working washers and large commercial dryers. Would be remiss if I didn't mention wind, but that is Colorado on the plains...it comes and it goes. Even without a satellite dish, there are plenty of television stations even with the roof antenna down. Night skies afforded good star gazing without the city lights. Pronghorn antelope wandered outside the campground's ten acres in the early morning and late afternoon hours. We'll be staying here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of things to see and do within a relatively short drive half-day to full day trips. Colorado Springs to the North, Pueblo to the East, Canon City and the Arkansas Headwaters to the West and Great Sand Dunes to the South, etc.. Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs; fishing at the Pueblo Reservoir; kayaking and tubing on the Arkansas River, Royal Gorge and beautiful scenic byways.

This was once a KOA campground and is being modernized by new owners. Sites are fairly level. We were assigned to one site but told we could choose among several others if they suited us better. The 50-amp service was strong and reliable. Water pressure was low. We had been told ahead of time to use a filter and bring drinking water, since their well water isn't great. The owner called the day of our arrival to tell us our site number since she was going to be away from the park when we arrived. The next day, she called again to tell us we had paid too much when we self-registered. Great customer service. The wifi was very good. They still have work to do to make this a really nice park, but they are working toward that. We would stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Out of town but close enough to use as a base for the Pueblo area. High desert climate, not much grass, but facilites worked and were clean. Accepted Passport America. Will stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Convenient to local attractions. Pikes Peak a nice day trip to include Garden of the Gods. Spent one day in Pueblo at the river walk, Center for American Values (a must see) and general walking the downtown shops. Phanton Canyon road was an interesting day trip. Pull thru lots are gravel and very level. The owners are very nice and accommodating. The pool isn't swim worthy yet but they are working on it. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice park west of Pueblo. The owners purchased this park and began to rescue it from a rundown old KOA park. They are very friendly people and are making improvements as their funding permits. They have added more 50 Amp sites and have laid new gravel on the sites. They are also trying to bring the grass back. The owner was very helpful in pointing out the sights to see in the area. We would definitely stay here again. This is located on a prairie with wonderful mountain views surrounding. Our pull-through site was fairly level, and the park is clean. The owner was delightful and couldn't have been nicer. The Wi-Fi worked really well, and we were able to get satellite, as there are no trees. We had good Verizon cell service. There is a pool, but it was inoperable while we were there. They are currently working on it. Bring plenty of drinking water as they are on well water. It will leave a lot of crud in your filters/hoses.The rate reflects a Passport America discount for 2 nights and full rate for 1 night. We would stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Great campground run by super nice people. Pretty easy to get into all the sites and they are very wide, fairly level, gravel sites. You can actually park next to your rig, the sites are so wide. They are on their third year of ownership and work very hard daily on improving and upgrading the connections. They honor PA and Escapees and the nightly rate reflects the PA with a weekly rate. They also have a "loyalty" program that gets you a free night after staying five nights. Only problem is they have well water and lots of sediment. We used two filters on the hose and one on the sink and still could get cloudy water so you should probably bring some bottled water. Can't say enough about what nice people they are! We will be back here in the fall on our way south. The campground is a great hub to use for trips to Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge Bridge, Colorado Springs, the Collegiate Peaks range, etc. WiFi is recently upgraded and is awesome too. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
