Stayed 8 nights (March 30-April 7, 2015). One of the friendliest campgrounds in 7 years of full-timing. Owners enjoy hosting campers and it shows in how they manage the campground and interact with campers. Very clean. 360-degree views of mountains and plains. Large easy in and easy out level graveled sites. (1-ton dually and 38-foot 3-slide fifth wheel) Great reliable WiFi. Easy on and off Hwy 50. They were working to get pool ready for season. Week we were there, they were working on a large dog run. Propane on site at fair price. They had a sign-up list in the laundry room for a campground potluck the weekend after we left. Laundry room clean with HOT water for whites and reasonable prices with working washers and large commercial dryers. Would be remiss if I didn't mention wind, but that is Colorado on the plains...it comes and it goes. Even without a satellite dish, there are plenty of television stations even with the roof antenna down. Night skies afforded good star gazing without the city lights. Pronghorn antelope wandered outside the campground's ten acres in the early morning and late afternoon hours. We'll be staying here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of things to see and do within a relatively short drive half-day to full day trips. Colorado Springs to the North, Pueblo to the East, Canon City and the Arkansas Headwaters to the West and Great Sand Dunes to the South, etc.. Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs; fishing at the Pueblo Reservoir; kayaking and tubing on the Arkansas River, Royal Gorge and beautiful scenic byways.

Out of town but close enough to use as a base for the Pueblo area. High desert climate, not much grass, but facilites worked and were clean. Accepted Passport America. Will stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This was once a KOA campground and is being modernized by new owners. Sites are fairly level. We were assigned to one site but told we could choose among several others if they suited us better. The 50-amp service was strong and reliable. Water pressure was low. We had been told ahead of time to use a filter and bring drinking water, since their well water isn't great. The owner called the day of our arrival to tell us our site number since she was going to be away from the park when we arrived. The next day, she called again to tell us we had paid too much when we self-registered. Great customer service. The wifi was very good. They still have work to do to make this a really nice park, but they are working toward that. We would stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park west of Pueblo. The owners purchased this park and began to rescue it from a rundown old KOA park. They are very friendly people and are making improvements as their funding permits. They have added more 50 Amp sites and have laid new gravel on the sites. They are also trying to bring the grass back. The owner was very helpful in pointing out the sights to see in the area. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This is located on a prairie with wonderful mountain views surrounding. Our pull-through site was fairly level, and the park is clean. The owner was delightful and couldn't have been nicer. The Wi-Fi worked really well, and we were able to get satellite, as there are no trees. We had good Verizon cell service. There is a pool, but it was inoperable while we were there. They are currently working on it. Bring plenty of drinking water as they are on well water. It will leave a lot of crud in your filters/hoses.The rate reflects a Passport America discount for 2 nights and full rate for 1 night. We would stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Convenient to local attractions. Pikes Peak a nice day trip to include Garden of the Gods. Spent one day in Pueblo at the river walk, Center for American Values (a must see) and general walking the downtown shops. Phanton Canyon road was an interesting day trip. Pull thru lots are gravel and very level. The owners are very nice and accommodating. The pool isn't swim worthy yet but they are working on it. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Great campground run by super nice people. Pretty easy to get into all the sites and they are very wide, fairly level, gravel sites. You can actually park next to your rig, the sites are so wide. They are on their third year of ownership and work very hard daily on improving and upgrading the connections. They honor PA and Escapees and the nightly rate reflects the PA with a weekly rate. They also have a "loyalty" program that gets you a free night after staying five nights. Only problem is they have well water and lots of sediment. We used two filters on the hose and one on the sink and still could get cloudy water so you should probably bring some bottled water. Can't say enough about what nice people they are! We will be back here in the fall on our way south. The campground is a great hub to use for trips to Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge Bridge, Colorado Springs, the Collegiate Peaks range, etc. WiFi is recently upgraded and is awesome too. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The rate is based on a monthly fee. This campground is clean and well-maintained. The owners are very nice. The campground has a comfortable feeling about it. It's something intangible, very difficult to describe. I just felt like I was relaxing on my back porch surrounded by friends while I was here. The sites are level and spacious, and the owners are constantly working to upgrade the sites. AT&T cell service is excellent. The view here is spectacular: on the prairie, but surrounded on three sides by mountains. Every day we saw pronghorns and prairie dogs, and there are lots of rabbits around. Laundry room has 5 washers ($1.25) and two large dryers ($1). Bath/shower rooms are clean. We had a problem with our battery and the owner, who also owns Fetty's Automotive, replaced the battery at a very reasonable price. We plan on returning to this campground when we come back from Denver. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park with nice, helpful owners. They're working very hard to improve park, with new landscaping and new gravel in sites. Convenient to Pueblo, Colorado Springs and all the attractions around here. Located out in the flats so can be windy. Be sure to use a good water filter. Nightly rate was weekly rate plus 2 nights on Escapees rate. We camped here in a 5th wheel. We would stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is a good overnight park. Some might also like it for longer stays. The previous reviewer has it right. Friendly, wide pull-thru sites, and very good WIFI. The pool was not operational apparently due to it being early in the season. The only negative is that sites are located on a slight downhill slope. This may be a leveling issue for some. However, no special effort was needed to level my 38ft RV. The park is close to the highway, but traffic noise was minimal. We would happily stay here again. Well kept park with easy access for big rigs off of State Hwy 50, midway between Pueblo and Canon City. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Long pull throughs with good 50 amp and Wi-Fi. Not much grass or landscaping but, hey, water is precious. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Rate cited is the Passport America rate. Clean park with wide level sites for easy access. Had a small electrical issue (ground fault) that created no interruption in service. Mentioned issue to owner and was told the electrician was already scheduled for the next day. We used on-board water instead of campground water. Restrooms and showers were very clean. Wi-Fi worked great. TV reception was very good using roof antenna. Hard working owners appear close to having pool operational. Prior to our departure, the owner stopped by to thank us for staying with them and invite us back. We will definitely stay again when in the area. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hardworking and welcoming new owners are working on improvements on this well-located, older park midway between Pueblo and Royal Gorge. Less than 10 miles to Walmart with 360 degree views of plains and mountains. Not fancy, but clean restrooms, hot showers and inexpensive laundry. Stopped for 2 nights with a Passport discount and stayed an extra week. Would definitely visit again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.
