This is a family friendly park with a pool, playground, and pet area. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had difficulty with our electrical box. It was fixed almost immediately after we reported it. We don't use the facilities, but the park itself is clean, and everything worked well-even the wifi. Although the park is about 20 miles off Highway 25, we would definitely stay here if in the area again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground in between Canon City and Pueblo West on US 50, MM 298.
The interior roads and sites are on packed gravel and are fairly level. The utility box contains 50/30/15 amp electrical service. The voltage was strong - hovering around 122 volts. The water and utility box is located on the appropriate side. The sewer is located at the back of the site. There are 7 W/E and 7 dry sites, the rest of the sites are FHU.
All sites are pull-thrus and can accommodate a large rig. The well water contains a lot of iron and the owners recommend either using sediment filter or fill your water tanks before arrival. Each site has a picnic table and there is a large dog run. The campground WiFi reception was strong (at least from our site). Verizon air card and cell phone reception was good.
The office has a book exchange and number of DVDs to borrow. The bathrooms are clean but in need of remodeling. Each bathroom has 3 showers. There is also a pool that is not heated but very refreshing. The laundry room has (3) washers at $1.50 per load and (3) dryers at $1.50.
This is a great park for an overnight stay. We would come back to this campground if we were in the area. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites were large. No shade, all gravel roads and sites. Nancy was very helpful and super nice. Laundry room clean and price was right. We stayed for a week for 197.41 including taxes. On Hwy 50 between West Pueblo and Colorado Springs. Convenient to a lot of attraction. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is right off Route 50 in the desert! You are close to Pueblo but not directly in it. The folks here do everything to make your stay a comfortable one. The have a great dog park for your pooch to run around in. They have a video and book library. Their laundry room prices are great! We would go back. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

As others have posted - the folks here are very accommodating and hospitable. My site was wide enough for my 42' with slides out and 2 full size pick-ups parked alongside. There was a huge enclosed dog run. My site had a bit of a slope left to right but nothing my levelers could not handle. The water was not really an issue - we used it for showers and dishes to stretch our tank water. Our filters took care of most of the minerals and there was a very faint iron taste left afterward. I asked for a spot to park the motorhome for a few hours after checkout time so I could attend my son's rodeo and they made it easy for me to park and didn't charge extra. Its all gravel and dirt like so many campgrounds in this part of the world but so well taken care of I did not find it an issue. I would definitely stay again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this cg for about 3 weeks, due to Denver area filled up. Cg was very peaceful, however, to the point of boredom. There were little amenities at CG. It is an old KOA. The sites were large, but with significant grades that made our 37' MH impossible to get level. I would return for an overnighter. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Great place for overnight which is what we needed. Nancy very helpful. As other stated water needs a filter, but we had water on board so didn't hook up. Washers & dryers available, but they have a sign about water possibly making clothes, esp. whites dingy. I had to do one load & sign proved to be true, but it was ok. Washer $1.25/load & dryer $1.00/load for approx. 3o min. Also our site had plenty of room to leave truck hooked up to 5er since we were only staying one night. They don't have a lot of 50 amp hookups. Pretty popular CG along with some permanent sites, so I advise calling ahead of time to make sure they have a spot. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a nice WalMart in Pueblo West at McCullough (sp?) & Hwy 50 before getting to park (coming from east). Park is close to mile marker 298. Our GPS took us 3 miles past & then had us turn around & go back. CG bldg, which is on south side of road, looks like an old KOA & is only thing in that area.

This is a park in the process of becoming a great park. Owner managers are working very hard to make this a park you will want to return to over and over. While we were there they upgraded the electric service. The wifi is strong and always on and the Views are magnificent. The only reason we didn't stay longer is the park was booked up. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Very good interior gravel roads and gravel sites. Upgraded electric. They are working hard on renovations. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They have planted some trees and bushes but this is open country; dry and windy. So, if you are looking for something lush and forested this isn't it. This park is out of town (about 16 miles) and the area is open and wind swept with views of the mountains. It is next to U.S. Hwy 50 which is somewhat busy during peak rush hour. There is some traffic noise but it is better than being next to the Interstate or downtown. It does quiet down at night but we are very light sleepers so had to wear ear plugs and slept very well. I think this is an excellent value and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Former KOA that current owners appear to be working very hard to upgrade. Sites are quite a bit larger than typical KOA. Level sites, all utilities worked fine. Park seems to have a lot of seasonal campers. Park is located on a U.S. Highway, so some road noise. Apparently the well water can be cloudy, but we were informed in advance and brought our own drinking water. Nice mountain views in the distance. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall rating reflects the well water supplied to each campsite. But in all fairness the website does say to bring your own water. Now the good. Friendly and helpful check-in, great views of mountains, and very nice campers. Restrooms were very clean. Sties are gravel and double wide. There is so much pride by the owners in this campground it rubs off on all the other campers. Stayed 2 nights and would stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Pretty basic campground with minimal amenities. Our site was level so we didn't need blocking. Roads and sites are gravel and can be dusty in windy conditions. Electric, water and wifi all good. Very nice owners who were busy all the time improving things. We would stay here again for short trips. We stayed here in a 5th wheel. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 8 nights (March 30-April 7, 2015). One of the friendliest campgrounds in 7 years of full-timing. Owners enjoy hosting campers and it shows in how they manage the campground and interact with campers. Very clean. 360-degree views of mountains and plains. Large easy in and easy out level graveled sites. (1-ton dually and 38-foot 3-slide fifth wheel) Great reliable WiFi. Easy on and off Hwy 50. They were working to get pool ready for season. Week we were there, they were working on a large dog run. Propane on site at fair price. They had a sign-up list in the laundry room for a campground potluck the weekend after we left. Laundry room clean with HOT water for whites and reasonable prices with working washers and large commercial dryers. Would be remiss if I didn't mention wind, but that is Colorado on the plains...it comes and it goes. Even without a satellite dish, there are plenty of television stations even with the roof antenna down. Night skies afforded good star gazing without the city lights. Pronghorn antelope wandered outside the campground's ten acres in the early morning and late afternoon hours. We'll be staying here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
