We love this RV Park it was a real find and we can't fault it at all. Easy access from US50 between Pueblo West & Canon City. Fantastic views across the prairie to the mountains. Big sites, huge pet area, walking path, great pool and the best sunsets. Wifi excellent some of the best we have ever had in an RV Park. Very good for an overnight stop or like us a 2 week stay as there is so much to do in the sounding area. Only 30 miles to Colorado Springs via a scenic state route. Super lovely owners who really care about their park and their guests. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

really enjoyed our stay. Site was large. gravel. Parked the truck on the side.In the high plains and very dry but not much dust. Out far enough from Pueblo west that the nights were lovely. Staff was great. Pool was great. Its a small well run campground. We would camp here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very accommodating! Terrific park hostess! The water does have noticeable iron content but we used a filter and were good to go! The quietness, views, and overall feel of the park were very relaxing! The dog area is the largest I've ever seen in a privately owned park and my dogs thoroughly enjoyed the open space! All hook ups were in great shape and easy to use. Spaces were extremely large and easy to maneuver. We had to unhook due to length but could easily park beside our trailer and still had lots of room. I've already planned to book my next stay at this wonderful park! We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great little RV Park, it's very clean and well laid out. The sites are nice size and not right on top of each other. The one thing I like is there are not long term residences here like you see in so many parks today. The owners are friendly and very helpful. Will put this one on my list of places to stay when going Colorado. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Park is centrally located for visiting Pueblo and Canon City. The park appears to be isolated 10 miles out of town, but is actually a quick drive either direction to town. The park is nicer than is appears from the road. It's location with great sunrises and sunsets makes this park very fun. It is an old KOA campground the owners are rehabilitating. The current owners live on site and are way above most in attitude and making you feel like your welcome. There are no long term trashy trailers in this park unlike the one 10 miles down then road. The one drawback is the park is on well water with high iron content. You need to come with full water tank for cooking and drinking or water filter. The owners are very up front about this. We used the showers on site, which are kept clean. And brought a tank of water and did fine. The park has a nice sized pool which is well maintained. Bring your binoculars to view the wild life that live around the park. The park has many returnees that use this park. We enjoyed our stay here. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This parks appears to be one of the old original KOA's that has become a private campground. Owners are great folks. Very nice and accommodating. We had a large pull through site. The only negative is their well water has high iron and a high mineral taste. Bring lots of bottled water. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is great campground with about 50 sites, a combination of no hook ups to full hooks. Roads in the park are easy to navigate. Sites are gravel and pull through, some have a patch of grass. All are level and about average width and long enough for our 37' RV and tow-dolly with room to park the car. The hookups were normal with no problems. The water is well water and per the owners suggestion we used bottle water for drinking. Even though it is right on Hwy 50 it is very quiet. There is a pool, a nice walking path around the perimeter of the park and a huge dog park. The views are nice and the park is very clean as is the laundry and bathrooms. The owner is super friendly and check in was a breeze and she even called to say good-bye after we left as she missed us before we pulled out. WiFi was good and our Verizon signal was strong. We stayed June 27-July 3, 2017 and paid $28.00 a night with a military discount. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This is an older park but is very clean and neat,it is a little remote but town is 10 minutes away on a very good divided highway. The laundry only had 3 working washers and 1 dryer so we went into town to a very nice laundromat overall a quiet convenient park We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed in this park for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Our site was gravel but there are sites with some grass. The view of the mountains here is spectacular with beautiful sunsets. The large dog park was very nice for our big dog and there is a walking path to walk your dog. The water is well water that is quite hard, we double filtered it but did not use it for drinking or cooking. We would stay at this park again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Our site was fairly large though not long enough if we didn't want to unhitch. Wifi was better than most western campgrounds. it looks like the owners are putting a lot into this and have some way to go, but the place is well kept (spotty grass, but this is the desert). There is a walking trail around the campground with lots of flowers. From the highway it looks kind of barren amongst the sagebrush and bunch grass, but there are some trees and it looks better when you are there. Nice views of the Rockies. The woman owner is quite exuberant and friendly. We have passed this campground many times on our way to Pueblo and it is a lot better inside than it looks from US 50. Pueblo has little to offer for campgrounds other than the state park. Fort's in the city does not answer the phone, take messages or answer e-mails. The KOA north of Pueblo is going downhill fast. Haggards is west of Pueblo West and about 20 miles west of the city of Pueblo, but is a fairly fast (65 mph) trip into Pueblo. There is a KOA 20 miles south if you are on I-25. We were pleased with our stay. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Hosts are very friendly and try hard to accommodate. This is an old KOA campground. Roads are combination dirt/gravel as are the parking pads. Sites have small patch of grass and some have picnic tables. There is a pool. Water is from a well and has very high iron content. Park is basic and has a number of seasonal residents. The night we arrived they were doing a pot luck with the park providing burgers and hot dogs. RV park is about a twenty minute drive to the west of Pueblo. Balance of previous reviews seem accurate. We DID NOT use or check out the bathrooms or Internet. Although this was just an overnight stop for us, we would/will stay here again when in area. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

As other have said, DO NOT FOLLOW GPS for "U" turn. You can turn left directly into the campground when heading west on US 50. Watch for mile marker 298 and other small highway signs showing camping. The RV park is visible on the left prior to getting to and passing it.

We were supposed to stay only one night as a stop over to bring the rig in for service in Fountain and then head north to Monument to stay for 4 days and visit family in Denver. We were trying to stay ahead of a storm as we traveled 4 hours. The storm finally hit us when we were 5 mins from the campground and got pummeled with quarter size hail! GPS takes you 2 miles past campground to make a uturn when you really could have made the left into the campground but we were fighting the hail and didn't notice. So we wound up having to come right back into the storm to get to the park. Check in was very friendly and was told the turn would be tight due to someone parking their 5th wheel too far back. (why they didn't have them correct I don't know) But we maneuvered it. All hookups worked well. They are on well water so a filter is highly recommended if you don't have one. Had a dog park and a walking trail and propane. We left and put the rig in for maintenance and service. We decided to go check out the park we were going to because it sounded like it got snow the night before from that storm. 8 Inches + That is not our idea of fun! We canceled that rez and rebooked another night here and decided to head back west instead of north for now. They were very accommodating and friendly. We would stay an overnight here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

The owner was fantastic and very hospitable. She is super nice and friendly. Made sure we had everything we needed. Even the prices of goods they have in reserve for sale are not overpriced. The park itself is very clean. They have nice little homey touches everywhere. My family stayed here in 2 camp sites. In a travel trailer and my parents in their fifth wheel. We will definitely stay here again when we come back this way. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
