This parks appears to be one of the old original KOA's that has become a private campground. Owners are great folks. Very nice and accommodating. We had a large pull through site. The only negative is their well water has high iron and a high mineral taste. Bring lots of bottled water. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Our site was fairly large though not long enough if we didn't want to unhitch. Wifi was better than most western campgrounds. it looks like the owners are putting a lot into this and have some way to go, but the place is well kept (spotty grass, but this is the desert). There is a walking trail around the campground with lots of flowers. From the highway it looks kind of barren amongst the sagebrush and bunch grass, but there are some trees and it looks better when you are there. Nice views of the Rockies. The woman owner is quite exuberant and friendly. We have passed this campground many times on our way to Pueblo and it is a lot better inside than it looks from US 50. Pueblo has little to offer for campgrounds other than the state park. Fort's in the city does not answer the phone, take messages or answer e-mails. The KOA north of Pueblo is going downhill fast. Haggards is west of Pueblo West and about 20 miles west of the city of Pueblo, but is a fairly fast (65 mph) trip into Pueblo. There is a KOA 20 miles south if you are on I-25. We were pleased with our stay. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in this park for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Our site was gravel but there are sites with some grass. The view of the mountains here is spectacular with beautiful sunsets. The large dog park was very nice for our big dog and there is a walking path to walk your dog. The water is well water that is quite hard, we double filtered it but did not use it for drinking or cooking. We would stay at this park again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This is an older park but is very clean and neat,it is a little remote but town is 10 minutes away on a very good divided highway. The laundry only had 3 working washers and 1 dryer so we went into town to a very nice laundromat overall a quiet convenient park We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This is great campground with about 50 sites, a combination of no hook ups to full hooks. Roads in the park are easy to navigate. Sites are gravel and pull through, some have a patch of grass. All are level and about average width and long enough for our 37' RV and tow-dolly with room to park the car. The hookups were normal with no problems. The water is well water and per the owners suggestion we used bottle water for drinking. Even though it is right on Hwy 50 it is very quiet. There is a pool, a nice walking path around the perimeter of the park and a huge dog park. The views are nice and the park is very clean as is the laundry and bathrooms. The owner is super friendly and check in was a breeze and she even called to say good-bye after we left as she missed us before we pulled out. WiFi was good and our Verizon signal was strong. We stayed June 27-July 3, 2017 and paid $28.00 a night with a military discount. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This small park is a real GEM on the prairie. We appreciated the knowledgeable and helpful staff. Site was level, large and well maintained. Showers & restrooms clean. Perfect location to tour Florence (Antique stores!) Colorado Springs (Garden of the Gods a must see) & Pueblo. We have a 35' 5th wheel - had plenty of room and will stay again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Wide sites, extremely friendly owners. Wifi good, Verizon Cell and internet service good, satellite access excellent. We were out sightseeing, when the owner called us that there was a storm warning. That kind of service we have never seen in our 5 years of full timing. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The owner was fantastic and very hospitable. She is super nice and friendly. Made sure we had everything we needed. Even the prices of goods they have in reserve for sale are not overpriced. The park itself is very clean. They have nice little homey touches everywhere. My family stayed here in 2 camp sites. In a travel trailer and my parents in their fifth wheel. We will definitely stay here again when we come back this way. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We were supposed to stay only one night as a stop over to bring the rig in for service in Fountain and then head north to Monument to stay for 4 days and visit family in Denver. We were trying to stay ahead of a storm as we traveled 4 hours. The storm finally hit us when we were 5 mins from the campground and got pummeled with quarter size hail! GPS takes you 2 miles past campground to make a uturn when you really could have made the left into the campground but we were fighting the hail and didn't notice. So we wound up having to come right back into the storm to get to the park. Check in was very friendly and was told the turn would be tight due to someone parking their 5th wheel too far back. (why they didn't have them correct I don't know) But we maneuvered it. All hookups worked well. They are on well water so a filter is highly recommended if you don't have one. Had a dog park and a walking trail and propane. We left and put the rig in for maintenance and service. We decided to go check out the park we were going to because it sounded like it got snow the night before from that storm. 8 Inches + That is not our idea of fun! We canceled that rez and rebooked another night here and decided to head back west instead of north for now. They were very accommodating and friendly. We would stay an overnight here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Hosts are very friendly and try hard to accommodate. This is an old KOA campground. Roads are combination dirt/gravel as are the parking pads. Sites have small patch of grass and some have picnic tables. There is a pool. Water is from a well and has very high iron content. Park is basic and has a number of seasonal residents. The night we arrived they were doing a pot luck with the park providing burgers and hot dogs. RV park is about a twenty minute drive to the west of Pueblo. Balance of previous reviews seem accurate. We DID NOT use or check out the bathrooms or Internet. Although this was just an overnight stop for us, we would/will stay here again when in area. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

As other have said, DO NOT FOLLOW GPS for "U" turn. You can turn left directly into the campground when heading west on US 50. Watch for mile marker 298 and other small highway signs showing camping. The RV park is visible on the left prior to getting to and passing it.

I incorrectly posted this review on another RV park in Pueblo. It was meant for this park. Stayed here two nights to visit friends in Pueblo. Good choice. Passport America rate of $16 is outstanding. Gravel roads and pull thru sites. Large off leash area for dogs. No cable TV but good OTA TV and wide open for Satellite. Friendly owners. Quiet. Did not use or look at bathroom/showers. Would stay here again. - We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park not to far from I-25. Passport America and Escapees discount offered. 2 Days max on either. Friendly staff, clean campground and great wifi. Water does have a high mineral, but so do many southern properties with well water. Large dog park, and dog run around the campground. Great sunset views from the park, clean bathrooms, small pool, and a laundry room stocked with books and dvds. Not much shade yet, the owners have planted many trees. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is conveniently located off Colorado 50 and perfect for an overnight stop. The service from the owners of the park was excellent. We booked a full hookup site but ended up only hooking up to electric due to the high mineral content of the well water. There are very limited mature trees however there are many small seedlings planted. The dog yard is exceptionally large and was the high point of the park as both of our dogs needed room to roam. The shower facilities were clean and no charge but definitely older. There was a nice pool and somewhat older playground available as well. The park Wi-Fi work well and we had excellent coverage with Verizon. We were able to pick up over 30 channels on antenna. We would use this park again for an overnight stay. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

High marks for value. We paid the Passport America rate and had a nice level 50 amp full hook up, pull thru with Wi-Fi. Our Verizon cell and broadband were both excellent and TV via batwing was also very good. The wi-fi was very fast, since our stay here 3 years ago, they have upgraded the wi-fi and added repeaters to eliminate dead spots. The electric was good, the water so no good. As reviewed before make sure you use a filter or come in with enough in your tank. This RV park is what RVers need more of, a decent place at a reasonable price to spend a night or several at. They also have good weekly and monthly rates. They have completed the pool work since our last stay and it looks very nice. The new owners are super and we saw signs of improvement ongoing here. Lots of new picnic tables, many of the sewer connections have been set in concrete, young trees planted and other improvements. It is nice to see a place that puts money back into their business. We would gladly come back here. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Best bet for a cold one or a bite to eat is 1 traffic light east of the Walmart heading east on US-50. There is a Walgreens and McDonalds on the west bound side of US-50. On the east bound side are several different places, a Brew house with deli style food, a Mexican place, an Italian place and a couple of others.
