Park was neat and clean. Staff was efficient and helpful. $50 for a barely adequate pull through and 30 amp service seemed high. Park was relatively quiet with a little bit of freeway noise. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

This KOA is right off I-25 at exit 74 on the eastside of the interstate. It is incredibly quiet (no freeway noise) even though you can see the freeway. The views are spectacular. We were in E-4 and sat outside our 5'er and soaked in the views of rolling hills and majestic mountains to the west. The entrance is paved up until the interior roads which are gravel and wide enough to get big rigs around. Fairly new small stone interior roads (no dust) and sites. Sites are long, wide, though not terribly spacious, but the key here is GRASS (real grass, not weeds). Hookups are well positioned, modern. Cable TV is excellent with lots of channels and for once, lots of digital channels as well. WiFi is EXCELLENT - which is a rarity. This is a quiet park, not a lot of noise. Staff is very present. In fact, one staffer was weed eating around the hookups and graciously asked if he was disturbing us (he wasn't). One thing he noticed is that our neighbors sewer hookup was a bit askew and as he continued weed eating, he FIXED the sewer connection! Touches like this make a RV park well worth the visit again and again. Check-in staff was very friendly and you get cookies! They weren't quite ready when we checked, so she told us to come back - we did, they were great! Offered us the local paper, and local food options close-by. This is again a nice park and one we would visit again. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We are not loyal to KOA's, but this is by far the best we've found even for their standard and near the top of all of our camping experiences. But first just the facts. Easy off and on I-25. The park roads and sites are paved/gravel and level with some concrete patios. Road layout makes it easy maneuvering in a big rig. Sites range in width, but most are adequate to park beside the camper and grass buffers. Every utility and connection is conveniently located and are up to spec. Everything worked! No surprises and lots of entertainment for kids. Facilities, grounds, recreations and luxuries were clean and maintained. Neighbors were friendly, but the staff was beyond exceptional.

The owner, lives on site and should be proud of his park. He moved us into a cabin, kept our food refrigerated and generally gave us confidence when we had mechanical problems with our camper. All other staff were just as friendly and accommodating and escort you to your site. Park fills nightly and stays about 1/2 full. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

Great campground, friendly staff we were escorted to site by owner and he made sure we were happy with site and offered any assistance we may need. We had an easy pull thru site with full hook up, cable TV and great WIFI. The sites are level, gravel and plenty of room to park our truck. We camped in a 39' 5th wheel. Would definitely come back if we were in this area. The views of the mountains from the campground is fantastic. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The new manager/owner has made major changes and improvements. We had some minor mechanical problems and they assisted us to insure our problem was resolved. The facility is great, good for a one night stop or as a destination to explore the area. Site surface is gravel and grass, with some shade. Would stay here again and highly recommend this facility. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This KOA is right off I-25 and there is virtually no road noise. The park itself is immaculate. The roads and RV sites are gravel with very nice lawns in between with picnic tables. There are large mature trees for shade but they are trimmed high so driving around the park is easy in the biggest rig.

I stayed in space B-4 which was 65 ft long, had nice shade from a huge tree, and I was still able to hit the Dish Network satellite. That said there are 73 cable channels that worked well and the wireless was acceptable.

We were here over the 4th of July weekend and the park was full with families with kids and everyone had fun in the pool, volleyball, playground, etc.

We were very impressed with the effort the new owner has made to make this a really great park.

I will be back again. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for one night enroute north. We stayed in a pull through with plenty of space for our 35 ft Class A and toad. We had 50 amp service, water and sewer. The site has east access to interstate 25 with a fairly tight U turn onto the frontage road for north bound traffic. The roads in the campground are sufficient and the sites and roads are gravel. The staff is exceptional, fresh cookies on check in, and support finding your site. We will return. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

Our RV group has stayed here at least once a year for quite some time. And I've reviewed this before. It's as good as ever. This past weekend the new owners were moving in. In fact, a big tractor/trailer arrived with their goods Sunday morning and began by unloading items for the kitchen in the hall. Our site was centered bubble and only needed to complete level with tongue jack after unhitching. The existing staff was outstanding in the absence of active management. I hope the camp ground maintains its excellent standing under these new folks. I wish them well and hope to meet them soon. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Obie's BBQ and truck stop is a quarter mile away and has had good BBQ in past years. Ours was dry this year. Fries were very good. Seating is sparse and most are the high chair round table bar type. Must look good in bars but hardly comfortable. Another eatery, Max's on the west side of the Interstate is homey and dependable. Valley grocery store a couple miles west has what you need. Bring your check book. Over $12 for an 8-piece fried chicken!

This RV park is about 20 miles south of Pueblo. It is an easy drive into Pueblo. The park has well maintained gravel lanes and sites surrounded with very nice grass. For big rigs, the sites are very long to accommodate the rig and tow vehicle. Sites are surrounded by very large trees. Hook ups work well. There are two fenced in, off leash, dog parks. The owners are new and took over the park a month ago. The owner and staff work all day long maintaining this lovely park. There is a pool, enclosed spa, mini golf course and frisbee golf course. Wood burning fire pits are available from the office and there is a group fire pit. Office is well stocked with RV supplies, groceries and gift items. Sites are level and utilities are well placed and work well, including cable TV. WIFI is free and works well. As in most of Colorado, cell phone coverage can be spotty. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff were very friendly and we even got a choice of a cookie when we checked in. We were escorted to our spot and the escort was very helpful while we best located our trailer in the spot. A little mowing was in order but they may not have been able to if there was recent rains. Frankly, I would have rated this park much higher had it not been for an obviously long term park resident. I would post a picture if I could. There was a Hitchhiker parked behind us that would surprise me if it was road worthy. It was covered in mold stains, the front compartment door was rotted out, there were no fender skirts on the wheels. In short it was an EYESORE! It spoiled an otherwise awesome view of beautiful Colorado mountains. Were I to stay there again I think I would look at my spot before accepting it. Had I done that and not had the view we had, I may have enjoyed it more. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This KOA is actually located about 20 miles south of Pueblo, just off the east side of I-25. Very little highway noise, and great views of the mountains to the west. Nice dog park but grass was 6 inches high, badly needed to be cut. Sites are quite narrow. Even though park was not full a motorhome with a young couple and four children was placed right next to us hours after our arrival. We were so close that when they disconnected the propane line off their grill, the propane that vented set off our inside propane alarm. With a little more awareness and consideration on the part of the owners/operators of this park, this could be better than average KOA. As previously noted there is a small local truck stop with good fuel prices located just off the I-25 exit to the campground with easy access to car and truck/RV pumps. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

We always stay here overnight going north and south. Very good sites, great staff, good wi-fi and good BBQ in walking distance. The gas station by the BBQ has very reasonable gas and diesel (cheaper than the "big" guys). Call ahead or reserve this year - they are busier than usual. If you have KOA Rewards be sure to tell them when you reserve - their system would not accept them when I arrived because I had already paid for the night in advance. Very nice park. Easy on/off I-25N. Big rig gas station with diesel and a great BBQ restaurant/bar at the corner within easy walking distance if you don't want to unhook. There's two fenced Kamp K9 areas, clean and secure, spaces long and fairly level, Wi-Fi is so so. Pool and adults-only enclosed hot tub we didn't use. Office staff very friendly with warm cookies on check in. The store is well stocked with necessities and souvenirs. There's mini golf, a nice playground, and lots of green space. We would return here again. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
