We stayed here one night on our way back from Dinosaur NM for one night. It is a new park, conveniently located right off the highway and adjacent to the Colorado River. There is a beautiful clubhouse with games, air hockey, comfy chairs, a nice camp store, clean restroom/showers and friendly staff. Our site was gravel and waterfront, with a nice fire ring and picnic tables. Firewood is available for $6/6 pieces, which was well seasoned and burned nicely. They have a playground and very nice pool. My only complaint was that on arrival, we were told that the pool was closed because grass had blown into it and clogged the pump. We were all pretty disappointed because the kids were looking forward to swimming during the drive there. When I noticed that the water was clearly circulating and there was no debris in the pool, the reason changed to the chemicals were not balanced. That was the only reason I did not give it a 10. We will stay here again if in the area. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

This was our first experience with a KOA and we were very impressed. Great location right on river. Great layout-easy to navigate. Staff is extraordinary. We definitely will return. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

This park is adding new "premium" sites along the river with paved patios and gazebos. We stayed in an upgraded site with a nice view of the river. Lots of people fishing in the river. Ample space between sites. Big grassy dog park. Pool wasn't open yet but very nice area. Extremely nice people in office and immaculately clean restrooms and laundry area. General Store area is sparsely stocked but appears to be new as well. Propane tank was in the process of being added. Loved this park and will definitely stay again. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Nice fishing in the river that runs along the park with lots of wildlife. We watched a beaver near the river. Glenwood Springs is a few miles south of the park with both the older Glenwood Springs Hot Springs and the newer Iron Mountain Hot Springs being perfect places to soak in warm, mineral springs.

Passing through spent one night in 45 ft Class A towing. Easy in and out from I 70. Nice layout to park, easy to navigate and easy to pull in to space. We stayed in a pull thought but the back ins looked easy to negotiate as well. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Restrooms and showers are spotless, warm, and roomy. A plus is a local Italian restaurant (Mama Costas Pizza) that delivers to park. The Antipasto salad was to die for and pizza was great too! Arrived within 30 minutes. Will definitely stay here again. This park is only 3 years old and many trees have been planted which will, someday look nice. Right now it is very open. We stayed "on the river" which actually is a small run off from the main river about 50 yards further west. Restrooms were very clean and in nice overall condition. Very strong Wifi signal. I-70 is north of the campground about 200 yds. Roads and sights were gravel, but long and fairly well spaced between sights. We wouldnt pay extra for a river sight again, but overall the park is nice and friendly. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

The location and set-up of the park is wonderful. The park is right on the Colorado River so we were able to walk along the bank and get some lovely pictures. We stayed before the main season so the extra amenities were not yet available. The bathrooms looked to be newly remodeled and very spacious and clean. Site was level and dog run area was one of the largest we have ever seen. Location is right off of I-70 but the noise wasn't too bad and we sleep in a hard-sided camper with pop-out canvas beds. We would definitely stay here again on a trip out west. The area is very pretty. Our site was on the end so we had a little yard which was nice. Also a lot of deer in the area. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Usually, we will avoid any campground affiliated with KOA as they tend to be older, higher priced and often run down, crowded and difficult to maneuver through. What a delightful exception this place was! Outstanding, attentive service, spacious, long pull-throughs, immaculate rest rooms, clean grounds, leash-free dog park, scenic setting, spotless laundry. We would definitely stay here again, and look forward to visiting the owner's other campground nearby. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The park has strong water pressure. A regulator is recommended. The laundry was spotless. It is small (4 washers, 4 dryers) and a bit pricey. Be sure to hike across the creek to the island (on the property) to get great river views. Cabin and teepee rentals are also available. The coffee pot is on in the spacious lobby and comfortable seating is spaced throughout the park for relaxing and watching the beautiful views.

One of the nicest KOAs in which we have stayed. Sites level, long, and not as crammed in as KOAs usually are. Staff pleasant and helpful. Utilities were in the center of the site and worked well except for WIFI, which we were told up front was out of order. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

Very roomy side to side. Nice long sites. Gravel but level with good hook ups. Pool, play ground and dog pen. Wonderful staff....you are kind of camping. If you have a soft sided camper and are sensitive to noise you might rethink but it's didn't present a problem for us. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Appears to be a relatively new campground--nicely manicured, very well-kept. Sites are spacious compared to other KOA campgrounds we've stayed at. Gravel pull-through was very level. Full hook-ups and cable. Nice fire pit. The laundry and bathroom/shower facilities were excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was closed for the season even though temperatures were very warm. Close to I-70 so some road noise was expected. Road noise was the only reason I rated this campground a 9 instead of a 10. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We encountered a problem opening our slide (cabinet door flew open and got stuck behind slide--not fun) and needed to do some quick repairs. Tim's Tools, a hardware store in downtown Silt, had everything we needed for this last minute emergency.

Spent a week here, in several different sites.

The good - friendly staff, new and clean place, practically on the river. Very nice clubhouse and super clean restrooms. Best place in the area. We were climbing up in the Rifle canyon, and needed WiFi at night and in AM.

The bad - Right on I-70, although spots furthest from freeway not bad on noise. Poor workers at desk baffled by computer system, so bring your patience if other than a simple one night transaction. Management doesn't yet have policies to "school" bad dog owners at registration. Had to educate one myself after enduring endless barking one AM.

Overall, very nice stay and would be happy to repeat. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

Right off I 70. Check in was great as desk staff was very thorough about amenities, rules, etc. She even told us that the water pressure is high and let us borrow a pressure regulator. We had a spacious level, full hookup, pull-thru site. Roads are wide enough for big rigs. Cable tv is included, wifi did not work well. Pool and hot tub are available, lounge area has comfy couches and tv. Camp store is small, has some supplies and snacks. Nice playground and dog run. There are even tepees you can camp in! Road noise was tolerable. Would stay here again. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice campground if you are looking for something close to the interstate with full facilities. It wasn't our thing because of the interstate noise and too far away from Glenwood for a good base camp. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We only stayed for one night while traveling I-70, so we didn't use most of the facilities. The campground is pretty nice for a KOA, with long and wide sites with lots of grass between sites, and generally attractive. There's a pretty large fenced dog park, and the park is right along the Colorado River so our dog was able to do a little swimming as well. The free WiFi ranged from very slow to unusable. The only real downside is the proximity to I-70, but we found the highway noise to be fairly quiet and not a problem. We'd stay again if we are looking for a site in the area. We camped at Silt / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.
