Am going to give this park an "E" for effort. The biggest downside is that it's VERY noisy being right next to the interstate - trucks driving by all night long. On the plus side - the staff is very friendly, a decent dog park, easy maneuvering to the camp sites, etc. They are also improving some of the sites - landscaping, fake grass outside your door, etc. If it weren't for the road noise this park would be very good. Decent spot to stop for a night or so. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Customer service is lacking here. Very busy place that is very close to interstate. Brown outdoor carpet around edge of site was kinda funny. At check in, I inquired about the railroad track since our site backed up to it. I was told the train hardy ever runs and then its in the morning around 6;30. NOT, at least 4 during the night all after midnight. Maybe they have different time zones? While our site was long enough (58' by my measurements) it was not the 70' it was told to be. Based on false information and the high rate, we will not stay here again. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of highway noise and train whistles. On Sunday morning at 8:00 am one of the workers started his diesel truck and let it idle for 15 minutes. Then turned his truck off and went nowhere in the truck. A lot of the KOA workers walked their dogs off leash. So then most campers did the same thing. In our 7 week trip this was the worst place we stayed and our two dogs on leashes were run up on by other loose dogs on several occasions. Lots of highway and train noise but ok for an overnight stop I would not stay here again. We stayed 3 long nights. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We just left a KOA Holiday to come here and was disappointed. We've been to several Holidays, and this one didn't measure up. We're probably used to more of the newer/updated places. The sites were too close and a lot of highway noise. The train tracks were right by our site, and it came through twice during the evening hours. It's fine for an overnight stay, but no for any duration (at least not for us). We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Truck Camper.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Campground was clean and easy to get to and our site was level. That being said - this was a very expensive night on the FREEWAY... it was so loud even our ear plugs could not drown out the noise. Horrible experience. Just understand that you will pay $50 for a night on the freeway - the noise never stopped. The train came by twice but was not as loud as the freeway. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Motorhome.

The typical snowy cable reception and our site didn't have sewer. The park's location is between Interstate 70 and train tracks, a good location for the owner to sell some day to Walmart, but not so good for campers. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed the night so it was a quick stop for us on our way to grand lake. Overall it was good, clean, and everyone was friendly. They had a steel drum band which was cool, but weird at the same time. Pancake breakfast was a good deal and we were on our way. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Motorhome.

We just stayed the night. Didn't seem like there was a lot to do in the area unless you went into Denver. Multiple Truck stops the next exit on 70w

I generally don't review, but I had to comment here. I truly do not understand how a park like KOA Strasburg can merit a 5 star score, because it misses on most of my criteria. Yes, the staff is friendly and efficient, but that is expected as a baseline. Location- in a prairie 30 miles east of Denver, tucked between I-70 on one side, a railroad on the other, and an industrial storage/pumping station (big tanks) on the other. Luckily the 24/7 hum of the industrial plant is more than drowned out by the drone of traffic from I-70. Ambiance- tight spaces, separated by about 6' of what might have once been grass, but is now no more than weeds and bare dirt spots. All around the park are curious berms of dirt 4' tall, and piles of gravel, lending the appearance of a construction zone. A moderate percentage of permanent residents; could be worse. But, given the limited options for RV parks in the Denver area, I guess this is enough to pass as acceptable. But not 5 stars, in my opinion. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Because of the premium price I am critical of KOAs. I expect near perfection. I am happy to say this park measures up. From check in onward everything was good, even the pizza they sell, not great but good. Wifi, utilities, service was above average. The cleanliness of the restroom/shower impressed my wife. We did not use the pool or playground equipment or go to the movie but all seemed good. We had family visiting and there was no problem in that regard. RV parks are limited in the Denver area and this is 25 miles from 225 the outerbelt east of the city. Good place to stop. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

A couple of restaurants in town and more in nearby towns of Bennett and Byers. Pizza at the campground and other nearby locations. Bennett (6 miles) has a King Sooper grocery, liquor store and Love's fuel. Walmart is 25 miles in Aurora but very convenient to I-70.

Great place for an overnight stay. Staff was very courteous. We had an issue with our TT that required maintenance the staff worked with us so we could stay in our spot late and if needed for the next night. We used the pool and playground. Sites were pretty level and we had enough room for our TT and truck. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We have traveled for the last month and this is the most expensive campground we have been at and the most unsatisfactory. Very close sites, the whole park is gravel and road noise is loud. The sites are not 70' long, 50 at the most. The wifi is almost non exist because they said someone is streaming. They told me wifi is free so no discount. When wifi is advertised I assume it's part of the price you pay for the site. Would not return here. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Park was easy to find and access from IH70. Check in was efficient and followed cart to our site. Site made up of dirt, gravel & patched asphalt. Not very level but was able to work with it. Length of site just barely accommodated my 40' rig with jeep toad. Was a satisfactory over nite stay but not the standard I expect when paying the "KOA premium". Also, there was excessive highway noise but a/c drowned most of it out at nite. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Motorhome.
