This was the closest we could get to Cheyenne for Frontier Days. Traveled with 2 other couples. Okay sites and we were parked together. But the flies were horrible (couldn't sit outside much) and in the evening, the stench from the neighboring farm (cattle ranch, whatever) was overwhelming and sent us running inside immediately. Will not stay here again We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

I did not look at the reviews and should have. The place is run down. The lots are not level and the Internet service is just bad. Close sites and the electrical connection was busted on my site. The place was quiet. They did escort you to your spot. The mosquitoes were really bad. They could spray. Will not stay here again. I just thought KOA were nice places but not this one. I made this reservation without checking the reviews of the park and that was a mistake, I should of known when there was nothing available at the other 2 KOA's in the area, but this one had plenty of spots. Anyway, the main issue is the smell from the cattle feed lot. Other than that and the 30 or so full time residents and old run down campers and the old junky cars speeding around the park it was fine. The site we were in was concrete and very level, utilities worked good, WI-FI was ok, cable TV was good, the staff was as nice as they could be, the store was stocked very well. I wonder which one was there first, the camp ground or the feed lot, surely no one would build a campground that close to a feed lot (1/8) mile. Final word is, if you must stay here, check the wind direction, if it's out of the NE, go somewhere else, we cut our stay short by one day just to get the heck out of here and lost the money for that day and I don't care, they can keep the rain check because we will not be back. I should have read the reviews before we came here! We got here today around noon. People in the office were nice & helpful. Most of the RV's here are being lived in on a full time basis. And yes, they are older models with lots of things around them that looks tacky. But the most atrocious thing about this park is the smell!! Oh my goodness! It is so horrible. There definitely isn't a mention of the feed lot being in close proximity to the campground. Stay here if you must, but if the wind changes direction you may lose your supper. This is a typical KOA - dated and aging. It was adequate for an "over-nighter" but would not meet our requirements for a "destination." As noted in previous reviews the proximity of the "feed Lot" is significant to this park's acceptability. If you are "down wind" you are accutely aware of its presence. Otherwise the park is acceptable. Wi-Fi acceptable, water acceptable, electric a bit more problematic. The power dipped quite a bit during peak demand and the power posts were badly worn. I was concerned that the connection was too worn for safety but it did hold out for our visit. Site was barely long enough to accomodate us connected but did. This park has a significant permanent and long term presense. It badly needs sprucing up, updating and maintenance. I would avoid this park in the future. I just got the feeling that everything worked, but just barely. We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

We have enjoyed this park over the years but not this time. They now have 60-70 long-term units and most of them are OLD and trashy. They also have 10 or so stored where you can see them. These old ones are 25-35 yr. old. Nice people working there, clean bathrooms, nice pool, and decent hookups. We may use them occasionally since the location is good for us, but only for one night. We stayed here 2 nights. The park is a little out of the way. The sites were concrete, but very uneven and we had a terrible time leveling. The staff was friendly & accommodating. The most memorable part of our stay was the overwhelming stench the first night we were there. We thought a sewer had backed up. It turns out there is a nearby "feed farm" and when the wind comes from the east you have to close up the windows and stay inside. Forty a night with a discount is a bit much to spend for a park that smells to that extent. We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.Undo

This is an extremely difficult review. Wonderful facilities. Family shower rooms. Nice little store. GREAT PEOPLE! The problem is it STINKS. The place is too close to a cattle feed and farm. If your nose is easily offended, you will be very unhappy with this campground. We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.Undo

Made reservations and arrived after closing. As promised, an envelope with map and site was on the office door. Couldn't get the shore power to work, moved, in the dark and rain, to two other sites and ran into taped over plugs, failure to pass our EMS system check. Finally knocked on owner's door. He sent us to a particular site. It worked, but was partially smashed. No doggie pickup bags, just a scoop. Coffee at 8 a.m., nothing else available. Grounds were well kept, construction going on nearby but noise doesn't bother either of us. I got the impression the owner was a bit tightwaddish. Just my impression. I wouldn't recommend it nor trash it, either. We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Things haven't changed - thousands of flies, terrible smell from feed lot or farm, especially at night. Unlevel sites. Friendly staff. Would not come back. There are two more KOAs in the Fort Collins area. We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.Undo

Nice park! They have a pool, shady sites, grass, private bathrooms, and level sites. There are good and easy hook-ups with cable. Workkampers are friendly and helpful. We like the fact that they do not have fire rings; thus no one's smoke is smothering us. We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Travel Trailer.Undo

The pool was not well kept, the front office staff are not real friendly (they are not mean either), the sites are close together and not really level, but the shower hook-ups were the big downfall at this camp for us. If you are unfortunate enough to have to shower when someone else has to flush the toilet, you will deal with SCALDING water for well over a minute and a half! With little kids, it was nearly impossible to take a shower without burning them! We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $43.00
Typical overpriced KOA. Nicely kept, but too high priced for what was there. Sites are long and level. In a rural area, so it was very quiet. Managers were very nice. Wi-fi and cable included in price. Hookups were good. We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $35.00
So long as the wind blows from the right direction this is not a bad little stop over campground. Good sites and friendly staff. Watch the entry as it is like driving in England: you enter on the opposite side of the road into the campground from normal. We will stay again when going through the area. A nice campground!! Has large pull-through sites, trees, grass, friendly work kampers, large and private bathrooms. Also has a big pool with a nice pavilion. Easy hook-ups and we were escorted to our site. We will return!! We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Travel Trailer.Undo
