We truly love this park. The new owners are great. I would agree they have a lot to learn; but did not we all in many aspects of our lives. They will learn that upkeep is one of the most important things....I did not think it was that bad but could use some attention. Not so sure why our rate was so high compared to others - we made reservations with previous owner. Many, if not all, of the horses are rescue. We were in the second row on the end closest to them and never had an odor issue. They will have to keep in mind that the people coming there pay the bills for them and keep that under control. We camped at Grape Creek RV Park Campground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Spent the summer here and have for 8-9 years. The real tent area is good and is near the restrooms. New owners are putting tent campers in the area where the dogs do their business. This area has scraggly weeds growing (ankle high) and is not mowed. Owners were informed about this area and have continued to put tent campers there. RVers are having to weed their own sites. No weeding, no spraying for ants, etc. They have brought in horses and corralled them near the office and also built a temporary corral by the creek. Wind just right, you smell manure. The flies are bad and inhibit eating outside. There are numerous horse trailers, work trailers, flat bed trailers, etc., parked all around the park. They have corrupted the view that people come here for. The park looks unkempt. They removed the trash containers around the park as the trash piled up around the containers because they didn't pick up the trash every day. New owners have never RVed. Owners not putting in any daily work. Probably won't be back. We camped at Grape Creek RV Park Campground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Westcliffe is a small town but does have events happening over the summer. The Blue Grass Festival, car show, rodeo and holiday events are just some of the things happening. Plenty of hiking, biking trails in this area.

The park has a nice easy layout with all drive-thru sites. The sites are kind of close together but I have been in worse. Each site has trees which provide some shade and separation. However, the trees have a bunch of shoots growing all over the place so it looks a bit unkempt. Some sites have grass but some are just dirt and gravel. It was very windy a few days while we were here and it did get a little dusty. The hookups were all in easy reach and worked well. Fhe first few days I thought the water pressure was great - nice strong showers. But the day before we left the pressure spiked and I blew 2 hoses within 30 minutes. I put my gauge on and measured 110 psi. I then put on my regulator and bought a new hose. There is only one bathhouse and it was clean and large enough for this size park. If you can, get sites 1-12 which are on the back row and provides a beautiful view of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. No real OTA TV stations. WIFI was okay for an RV park. This park recently was sold and the new owners are working out some kinks. We camped at Grape Creek RV Park Campground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our 183rd RV park we have stayed at in our 19 years part time RVing and this is the first 10 I have given. Always said nothing is perfect but this is as close as you can come. Owners are such outstanding people, the place is spotless and kept up beautifully. The views are breathtaking - and I am a semi-professional photographer in my retirement. And the only RV park I have ever seen with a piano in the laundry room (honest!). We camped at Grape Creek RV Park Campground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our second time to stay at Grape Creek. It's one of our favorite parks. Check-in is easy, nice trees to help give you shade, and our spot was clean and raked. The staff keeps the park immaculately clean. It is also at the base of the Sangre De Cristos mountains which makes for a beautiful backdrop. The only reason I did not give it a 10 is because the WiFi was so slow. Occasionally, it would speed up in the morning. You can always walk up near the office and WiFi is fast. They have also started grilling hot dogs. We did not have one but they looked yummy. The town of Westcliffe is nearby with a nice grocery and health food store. We'll return. We camped at Grape Creek RV Park Campground and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

This is definitely the place to go in the hot summer. Temps at night were in the 50s and daytime 80s. Love this campground and the community. Several restaurants to choose from in the town of Westcliffe and great hiking very close in the mountains with well marked trails.

Stayed at this campground for two days and found the park to be a real gem. Off the road near the town of Westcliffe. Beautifully landscaped with great pull through spaces. Restrooms were roomy and clean. Staff was friendly and on site. Office open fairly late. Lovely mountains in the background with stream on back of property. Very quiet. On Monday morning because of a forest fire we were told to evacuate. We loaded up a few things in the trailer and headed out. This local park gate was open, I assumed they were still open for business and we pulled in. The gate was open to let campers leave that morning. They were closing for the season. She being gracious and almost empty provided us a space. After seeing their page on RV Parks reviews I see we were charged an inflated rate. It's a beautiful well maintained park with level pads and each has its own grass area. The facilities are spacious and clean. The view of our awesome mountains is incredible. We camped at Grape Creek RV Park Campground and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Small grass area at each site; gravel RV spots. Wide gravel streets make it easy access to the pull-through sites. Aspen trees at each site are somewhat close to the parking, making it necessary to determine where your slides are. Clean park, VERY nice owners and staff. Owners keep the park in top condition. After one of our neighbors left, the owner was out raking the gravel RV parking area to help keep it level and remove leaves. We are looking forward to coming back. Westcliffe is an amazing little town; about 1,200 residents. Located in a valley within close proximity to the mountains and all that they offer. Worth a visit.

This is a nice park, and the owners spend a lot of time keeping it that way. However, a large rig can be a problem. As is, even though the sites are pull through, you have to park your toad in front of your coach, on the road. Lots of aspen trees make getting satellite difficult. Cellular data - both Verizon and T-Mobile - are slim to none. Many sites are still only 30A so if you need more make sure you specify when making your reservation. The camp's WiFi is slow and intermittent. So yes, a nice park, but with our large coach we will look elsewhere next time we're in the area. Every year there are improvements made to this Park. The cabins are incredibly clean with a small table set up including a coffee maker, a porch to enjoy the view, screen door to let the breeze in, fire pit, picnic table and grill. That is a lot of amenities compared to other places I've stayed!

Also the bathrooms have been upgraded again with tiled showers and are impeccably clean, they even smell good! I can't say enough for this Park and the beautiful setting it provides. We camped at Grape Creek RV Park Campground and Cabins in a Cabin.

Stayed only one night due to our schedule. Would definitely recommend for several nights if you just want to kick back and relax. Sites are spacious, and the scenery is great from any site. The only criticism we have is there are no picnic tables. This is certainly no big deal but in our travels is a rarity. Staff is friendly and works hard at keeping the facility in tip top shape. Cable TV is included and had a great channel lineup. We camped at Grape Creek RV Park Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you level with hydraulic levelers you will need blocks. Even though sites are graveled the soil is not well compacted.

Definitely a "destination location" campground very near to excellent hiking trails in the Sangre de Cristo range.

The owners are some of the hardest working folk I've seen for a long time. They work 7 days a week making sure the facilities are clean, the sites level, and the landscaping perfect.

Very wide roads afford easy site ingress and egress.

Great views of the 14ers from your RV's windows! We camped at Grape Creek RV Park Campground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff and pretty park. We like to have evening shade to sit out and eat dinner. Couldn't do that at this park because all sites have evening sun and there are no picnic tables. Lovely trees provide some shade and the patches of grass are pretty but you can't put anything on it. I do think the price is high but we would stay here again if we were in this area. This is a clean, quiet, beautiful, and well maintained park. It is owner operated. The setting is just south of the town of Westcliff and Silver Cliff, CO. The park is alongside of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. We learned about the park when it was mentioned in a chance meeting with other RV campers. Our stay was memorable.
