A very large park. Our site was at the very back of the campground. The site was a little crowned so we had to position our rv right in the middle of the site. The services were all close enough for hookup. WiFi worked well, no cable and OTA channels worked some of the time. Very well shaded. Make sure you read the rules because they impose fines for certain violations. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Directions on web site are good, but look for the Ambulance Service sign on the right side of the road, and the RV park is on the other side. Roads are gravel and in good condition. Sites are all dirt. Interior roads are not marked for the most part so might have to use the campground map to navigate. Lots of pine trees so many of the sites are at various angles. Most sites are back in and they will take skill to get into. Most sites are pretty close to trees and other units. Some units could not get awning out. Utilities were good. No cable and limited OTA TV. If you want sat TV better bring an ground mounted antenna. There are places to walk your dog, and there is a new off leash fenced dog run. Park is quiet and the management keeps it clean. Even the long term renters keep their sites neat. In this area this is the best we could find. We would come here again. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Site 156 is a long pull thru and has clearance so you can use your roof top dish. Not much of a downtown in Woodland Park. Other surrounding communities are more tourist friendly. About 30 minutes to the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. About 40 minutes to Gardens of the Gods. If here in September Woodland Park has an October Fest that is well advertised and is pretty lousy (expensive and cold food).

One of our favorite RV Pks. They continue to improve the park. The staff was nice and the seasonal people were so friendly. The weather and temps. are great and the town has so much to offer for its size. Wifi worked great. We had a 40' MH and had no problem maneuvering the roads if you pay attention. We did have to move sites but only because we extended our stay and our first site had already been spoken for. We will come back here if in the area and can get reservations. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice wooded campground in a popular destination and that drives the price up. Many of the sites are occupied by seasonal vacationers. Sites closer to the road will hear some traffic, but the EMS ambulance is located across the highway and will definitely not go unnoticed. The staff maintains the sites and enforces the rules. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Run Run Run from this park. Sites are are terrible, fire pits even worse. Two nights in a row our RV was filled with smoke from fire pits that nobody was even sitting round. Our neighbors had trash sitting outside which was scattered by the birds and a leak that we reported and was observed by the management, No fix. Very sad as this is a beautiful place in CO with below avg RV parks. There are plenty of snowbirds here but they are not the problem. Roads are dirt with no signs, we had to wait for person to move that was "parked" at the laundry and acted like we were the one in the wrong. In her defense the roads are dirt. Very very sad what a beautiful place in CO with no decent choices in RV sites. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our time at Diamond Campground. The grounds, restrooms, and showers were continually kept clean. It was quiet. The other campers were nice and respectful. The staff was very helpful. And we loved watching the deer feed right by our campsite. Thank you. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Tent.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a lot to do in the surrounding area - Cripple Creek, Victor, Colorado Springs. There are many businesses in Woodland Park for all our needs. We also found a donut shop that was really good called the Donut Mill. We highly recommend them.

A very quiet campground nestled in a pine wood - every site is pretty much surrounded by trees. Main access road is worn asphalt only a bit wider than a single lane - two rigs would have difficulty passing. Secondary access roads are packed gravel fines with some good sized dips between the access road and the sites. Sites are packed gravel with greenery (mostly weeds) between the sites. Our site was level front to back, but sloped side to side enough that all the tires on one side were off the ground. However we didn't see a lot of cases with tires off the ground. Sites have fire rings and picnic tables. Big rig access is doable, but this is not a big rig friendly campground. Oncoming cars on the access roads pretty much have to pull completely off the road. Getting into the site may require a neighbor moving a car. We had to back out of our pull thru site. Power ok - did not stress, water ok 50psi, sewer rather odd - not threaded and at 45 degree angle making it next to impossible to use without holding it in place - even sewer weights were insufficient. Wifi good both signal and speed even during the early evening. Verizon 4 bars, good speed. Tmobile 3 bars did not check speed. Satellite access is very site dependent and problematic for roof mounts. Full single stream recycle on site. Paved bike trail across the street from campground entrance. We would stay here again. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed 12 nights. Very thankful to the office staff for their pleasantness and flexibility as we arrived 2 days late (with notice). Our site was in front by the entrance. Highway noise noticeable just during the daytime when outside. Our site had to be about 100' long! They accommodated us very well, as we have 40' fifth wheel, dually truck, small SUV, 10x10' flat trailer, and two motorcycles. We had tons of room lengthwise. Site had a bit of a curve and it plateaued up in the middle some so you couldn't put the RV just anywhere in the site. Leveled easily. Hookups worked as desired and in good location. There are so many conifer trees around. Smell of pine in the mornings was very pleasant. Most of the ground is covered in pine needles, so even when it rained our site really wasn't muddy. If you must have satellite, be sure to let them know. Roads in the park are narrow, but doable. We had to pull out of our site "the wrong way" and loop around to get out because of trees, curve of our site, and narrow road. No biggie. Many RVs looked to be setup long-term, but they're just snowbirds so the sites aren't junky looking. Long-term neighbor on one side had a large space so they weren't close to us, transient site next to us was close. About 3' from end of our awning to their RV. Expect your only views to be trees and your neighbors' RVs. After driving around the park, I could see maybe 1-3 sites having a view of any mountains. Very dark at night. WiFi worked well for perusing websites, social media. Three bars AT&T LTE. Can receive packages here. Playground equipment for kids. Dog park in the way back I think. If there's only the one bathhouse, it's close to the front and would be quite a walk from many of the sites. We stayed here because of the price, good reviews, and convenience to CO Springs. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Convenient to Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs. We tried 7 breweries and Fieldhouse (downtown CO Springs) was the best. Cerberus Brewery had great food. If you have motorcycles and/or like driving forest roads - take Rampart Range Rd to Mt Herman Rd (USFS road 300 to 320) from Woodland to Monument. Beautiful views and well maintained forest road.

Upon check in manager was very nasty and had no concern about reservations. We have camped here in the past and did not have this type of service. We had a group of nine rigs and none of us will being staying here again in the future. Upon check in manager had made changes to our reservation like our leaving date which we did not change and site numbers were switched for many. We were suppose to have clubhouse for the entire weekend and that did not happen even though no one else used it when we were not in there. Any wood that is left over they pick up and throw away so they can sell their own wood. What a waste of resources! the sites are not very level as we had to raise one side up 3" to be almost level. Pine needle are very thick through out campground and can be a fire hazard. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We spent a weekend here last year and a full month this year. They put us in the back this time which is good for avoiding road noise, but our site is pretty tight. We have both my truck and a car this time and both parked in front of my fifth wheel, but it makes us feel very cramped. We are parked with our back window looking into the back window of another fifth wheel and our picnic table is almost touching our neighbor's slideout. They cram people into sites in all directions. I have seen rigs parked perpendicular to each other. Some sites are wide and long, some short and skinny They really should guide you to your site as there are several loops and odd angles. However, it is nice being in tall pine trees again. OTA TV reception is ok as we are able to pull in stations from both Colorado Springs and Denver. AT&T service is acceptable. There is a dog park in the back. They do have some activities going on in the clubhouse and breakfast and potlucks occasionally. Woodland Park is great in the summer as it is about 8-10 degrees cooler here than in Colorado Springs. Roads are mostly dirt and get pretty sloppy when it rains. But I give the staff credit as they are quick to clean things up. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you like short hikes there are several close by. Download the AllTrails app to get information on these. Cripple Creek is about 30 minute drive. Lots to do in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. A nice scenic drive/ fishing/ picnicking is to go thru Eleven Mile Canyon (not the reservoir)

This is a beautiful park! Lots of trees, but the sites were easy to get in and out of and easy to level. We disconnected to drive around this gorgeous area. The laundry facilities were spotless and reasonable- $1.75 for 30 min wash and $1.00 for 45 min. Dryer. The staff here is so friendly and helpful. We had a big snowstorm while here, so decided to stay a 3rd night, which was allowed with Passport America. The park is very clean, well lit, nicely landscaped and quiet, other than the snow falling off the tree branches onto our RV. Nice picnic table, but was more for building a snowman on than using this week! I would definitely stay here again. We were able to get several channels over the antenna. Hookups were good and water tasted good. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

*** Don't arrive at night *** Although our first trip here, this was an absolutely beautiful, very well maintained park that we will visit again and again. The campsites are "locations between trees" rather than paved, well marked sites on roads. This made entry and exit interesting. The roads are dirt and the sites are dirt. We're still confused why one of the hands wouldn't allow us to exit through an unoccupied "site" (the safest exit for us). Exiting on the "road" brought us within inches on either side of our trailer. Check-in was extremely efficient and we quickly got settled in our site. We had to level slightly. We were surprised to find how close we were to everything. Mueller State Park, Pike National Forest, gas, and groceries were all right there. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our second stay and definitely not our last! We love the kind service and the quiet beauty of the camp. There are hundreds of pine trees, and the peaceful camp environment is wonderful. We also love that we are close to town for activities and shopping, but still in the forest surrounded by hills with a sunrise view of Pikes Peak out my breakfast window. We came up for the weekend for a shakedown run of the trailer. As everyone else states, this is a nice park with lots of trees. The roads are dirt which was no issue, but it poured cats and dogs one night. To the credit of the staff, they were out early the next day fixing the ruts caused by the runoff. Our site and most of the sites I saw are roomy enough to open all four slides and put out the awning and still have a little wiggle room. But some of the sites looked like it would take a little finesse to back the trailer in. Several seasonal people and they welcomed us right in when we played card bingo. The Wi-fi worked great. The one suggestion I have is that they should have someone guide you to your site as it is a little confusing. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for a week and it is a beautiful park, but the sites are extremely close together. We had enough room for our picnic table and some chairs but had to stare at our neighbors sewer line. We could touch their RV when sitting at the picnic table. The front part of the park is more shaded but also appears to have a lot of permanent residence. They also have a lot of people that stay here for the "season" (May through September). Everyone was extremely nice. After being here for a week it appears that all the parks in this area have very close sites. The WiFi was spotty, during peak times you couldn't use it at all. All in all I would stay at this park again but I would try to get a site at the front of the park instead of the back area. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
