We stayed at Brialee for the weekend march 31. The staff was friendly and efficient. very clean and in order. They have a new set of managers since last we stayed. I would recommend for everyone. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is awesome! The staff are friendly and courteous even when others are not. They work very hard at providing a safe, happy environment for the children with so much to do literally every hour on the hour on weekends. So many things are free where other campgrounds charge for this. You should see how many children get face paintings and airbrush tattoos complimentary of the park. The owner Brian has made so many improvements (not that they were necessary) just to provide a spruce up of bathrooms, laundry facilities and even pond improvements. The new managers are so approachable and caring as well as available to others, as were the managers before them. My children enjoy the pool, beach and all games and facilities and I have never seen rings around pools as cleanliness is high priority of the campground staff and the seasonal campers. My kids now camp here. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Large park with MANY amenities (boat rentals, pet beach, mini golf, endless kid's activities, food bar) and a helpful, friendly staff. Cons: sites are very close and cluttered. There are no tent-specific sites, so you may end up tenting in between large RVs like we did. On the plus side, though, every site has water and electric. Unfortunately, while we were there the bathroom near us had only 2 toilets working (out of 5), and the store ran out of ice. Campers were respectful of the speed limit, but the noise curfew was definitely not enforced. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Tent.

We stayed here with a group of 14 families.

The pavilion and the nearby fire pit was perfect for our group events..

Major upgrades are in progress for the rally area.

We would definitely camp here again! We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I would definitely agree with the other reviews about the bathrooms. They are disgusting We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and they were not clean at all nor were they touched all weekend. The game room was just as dirty. The campground itself is somewhat pleasant but it gets very crowded on the weekends and the transient sites are very close together. They did accommodate us with an empty seasonal site that was a decent size but far away from all amenities. The pool was nice but way overcrowded and the kids did enjoy the fishing pond. Another big negative was on Sunday morning when the water stopped working. I was told this happens on busy weekends. Apparently the well water tank runs low. This made it very difficult to close down the camper and get everyone ready to leave. The campground claims they are the best deal in Ct. but I would rather pay a few dollars more for clean bathrooms and a well system that can keep up. We won't be returning. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Travel Trailer.

It was a busy week/weekend. The site we were given was an empty seasonal site, it was close to the pool and bathrooms and was a decent size. We stayed for the week, and I regret it. The bathrooms were disgusting, the main bathroom had raw sewage all over the floors and always had a bad smell; also the trash that was there on that Sunday was still there on Thursday. I had to go to the other end of the campground to use the facilities, and most of the time our small bathroom in the camper to shower. Then the grey water started to back up in our camper because of issues they were having. The playground was older, and didn't look too safe. The activity area was ok the only issue up there is that is where they dump the sewage from the septic tanks. So the smell was pretty atrocious. The children enjoyed the splash pad and mini golf. If the bathrooms were cleaned and updated and they had larger septic tanks it would be fine. I guess for the seasonal camper its no big deal as they have bathrooms big enough to use. They also offered site trash pick up daily which was convenient. They also had decent crafts to do with the kids and children's activities as well. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Great family place with lots to do for kids. Rural and woodsy, we enjoyed our stay. With full services, rate was excellent. Lake with fishing and swimming. We had a good week there. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Motorhome.

Brialee was recommended to me. After I missed the rear entrance I ended up using the front. Yes it was hilly but it was manageable. We stayed in the "new" section with full hookup. The site was small and surface covered with rocks...not the best surface. Kept getting power surges that made my microwave "beep" all night with each surge. As my wife said..."bathrooms are the dirtiest we have ever been to". OK..on the plus sides - The price is good and love that it includes all kids. There were plenty of activities for the kids. The beach was a big plus for wife and kids. I think overall it is a good campground that I might visit again. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Travel Trailer.

This campground when we made reservation said it had 50amp. They do not have 50amp service! The road in was awful. At 4:00 PM on a Sunday NO one was in the office. They left a note with our site number. They "forgot" to highlight the road to it. Will NEVER stay here again. Trash was NEVER picked up and sat for days. Delightful wooded campground built around trickling streams feeding into large ponds for fishing and swimming. They even have a pet beach. Capable and friendly office staff. Wi-Fi was very good. Access road off 89 was a wicked switchback turn. Use the recommended rear entrance. Site was level packed pea gravel. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Motorhome.

This is my second review of Brialee and we continue to love this place. After seeing many other campgrounds in the CT and RI area, I appreciate the work and money the owners put back into this place. We camped with family over the 4th of July weekend. It was packed and we had no problems with electric (granted, we didn't need to run the A/C!). The one really nice thing about Brialee is they don't nickel and dime you. Our family of 4 adults with one trailer and one tent were accommodated on one nicely spacious site with no extra charges. Try getting THAT at other campgrounds that charge for the kids in the family, not to mention extra adults/cars! With a full campground, it was actually very quiet after around 11pm. No loud parties. Security was right on the spot when one group decided to let off some loud fireworks near the sites (strictly prohibited). One nice thing - Brialee had their own very respectable fireworks display and set off all the kids firecrackers too. The bathhouse near us was very clean (we had site 218), but the one near the pool was much dirtier due to the really high usage. They need to keep on this better. Lots of activities that were well run and well-attended. Clean (chilly!) pool and nice clean pond for swimming. Very pet friendly with a separate doggie beach. The dogs I came into contact with (and the owners!) were well behaved. Overall, we'll be back again for sure! We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Check in was easy and we found our site with no problem. Backing in was tricky but they helped us out. All services on the site worked. Their are plenty of things to do here and we did not really venture out as we had stayed in the area before. Swimming pool, fishing pond, small beach, mini golf, batting cage, etc. Plenty of planned activities for everyone including Bingo. We had friends visit us one night with no problem, and they even liked it. We plan on returning. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

This a great park with various activities. The mid-week prices can't be beat. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We stayed here in the beginning of June and were impressed with this vast yet peaceful campground. We stayed here for another 2 days on our return trip at the end of July, and although it was filled to near capacity, the mood and atmosphere was the same. Unfortunately, the washrooms during this visit were undesirable due to human nature of adolescent guests. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Brialee didn't impress right away but grew on us. There were a lot of activities for the kids and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Fenway Park replica wiffleball park and radio control car track were a hit. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Motorhome.
