The sites are fairly close together and are gravel with grassy weeds growing up in each spot, and there were pot holes and some were filled and some were not. The wifi was barely there, even though they park was not full. They charged extra for dogs, and require a deposit for their gate cards that we had to hand deliver late our last night so we could get the $10 deposit back. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed going to Groton to see the submarine museum, and then one night we went to Mystic and saw where the movie was filmed, and we went to S&P Oyster company for dinner. Then the next night we went to New Haven and went to dinner at Shell & Bones.

This is a beautiful park with well maintained grounds. The roads are fine crushed gravel but very flat. The sites are well spaced and level. It's very easy to navigate with good roads into the park off the highway and big rig friendly inside of the park. The bathrooms are very clean. I didn't use the showers. 50 amp strong power, good cable channels and fairly usable WiFi although it did cut in and out on occasion. There have a nice laundry room here and some activities like a pool and game room. This isn't full of kid activities so if you're looking for a kid park this isn't it. It's very quiet and ralaxing. The staff was friendly on check in as were the other campers. Cell data speeds are excellent with both Verizon and ATT at 40 d/l. There's tons of things to do in the area. Mystic is a great town to shop and dine in and there are state parks with hiking nearby. Gillette castle is also cool. Everything you could need is easily accessible. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Motorhome.

I have been coming here for 15 years and I have enjoyed every trip I have taken here! Every time we arrive at the park we are greeted sincerely by the owner. She truly is a great business owner who puts her customers' priorities before anything else. Every site in the park is large and spacious, has a picnic table, fire-pit and a grassy area to relax in the sun. I highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a high class resort for a reasonable price. Aces High RV Park never disappoints :) We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is advertised as a year round park but only one bathroom was open and was not convenient since our site was all the way in the back - the only open bathroom was in the front in the office - and needs to be updated. We did not use the showers, which are pay showers. Our site had recently had new dirt put on it but this created quite a "valley" right outside the door. There are also quite a few seasonal campers sprinkled throughout the park. We will not be going back this park. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely park and we were very happy to get a site here on a holiday weekend just passing through. The only reason I can't give a 9 or 10 is because they advertise free Wi-FI throughout the park. It was non-existent for us. The roads are very well packed and pretty smooth. The site accommodated our big rig well. We would come back here if traveling through this area. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a good campground for an over-night or short stay. The roads are gravel and easy to navigate. The sites are gravel pull-throughs, long and wide, with fire pits and tables. Our site had open sky so we had no satellite issues. The wifi, however, is very suspect and slow. Our main issue was the narrow gate at the entrance and exit. Big rigs need to take a wide turn exiting because of the narrow gate structure and sign. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Motorhome.

I am living in a 43' 5'er with a 16' garage - big haul. A word of warning to big riggers, The gate to this place took a bite out of my hydraulics door and some of the framing on the driver's side. I had to get close enough to reach the sensor, but I "bone headed" it pulling through by not jogging right or backing up and coming at it straight on.

My suggestion is, either drive through the exit side of the gate or request at the office that they open the gate for you while you get your rig in.

My suggestion to the park; RV's have gotten bigger. Adjust your gate to accommodate or provide an office controlled alternate entrance. I have about $2000 worth of damages I must repair. Yes I was partially to blame, but you the park hosts are culpable too. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have been to this park many times over the past several years and were very disappointed this year with the site conditions. The site we were on was never cleaned before our arrival, and it looked like it may have been that way for the past few campers. There were cigarette buts bottle caps and trash in the fire ring. The grass (weeds) had not been cut or any trimming done in awhile or any raking of the site. We have seen a decline in the maintenance just from last year. We understand it has been dry and the grass has dried up but the weeds haven't, that is no excuse for not trimming.

Our picnic table was missing, we found it on the next site over that our friends were on, so we left it there. This should have been found by staff if they had properly checked the site prior to our arrival.

We never saw any staff out and about around the campground all the time we were there (5 days). It was just an overall disappointment this time. However the campground is in a very good location for visiting the CT shore. Hope they can get their act together because this park has been better than what we found this time. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a very nice boardwalk in Niantic with a beach at each end. Benches to sit on along the way. This is not too far from the campground. The boardwalk is about a mile long.

We had not visited this park in about 8 years. We stay here when visiting friends that live in the area. Despite the addition of a (very small) pool and pavilion, this place has gone downhill since our last visit. Two out of three dumpsters were full when we arrived on Tuesday, were never emptied, and were well beyond overflowing when we left on Sunday. No excuse for this. Many branches in need of trimming, on sites and in roadways. Although it has been dry and grass is not really growing, the weeds certainly are! A quick ride through on the mower would take care of this and make the sites look a lot nicer. Security gate was broken/wide open for our entire stay. Digital cable converter boxes are available at the office with a 40 dollar deposit. WiFi was very weak. Interior roads are very dusty. They advertise a midweek special (3 nights for 100 dollars) on their website, I had to ask twice to take advantage of this. Sign out front says Luxury RV Resort, award winning in 2001 and 2005. With some effort on the part of the management, this park could get back to that. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Motorhome.

We camped the last week of July. Easy access off of Route I-95. The roads and sites are gravel, so there is some dust when people drive past. It rained and there was good drainage. The bathrooms were very clean. No A/C in any facility. It costs .25 for a 7 min. shower. The laundry room has 6 washers and 6 dryers. The game room was lacking. No activities for kids.Staff was friendly and helpful. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a gated park on a busy road. The roads are gravel/dirt. The sites are gravel/dirt and are mostly level. The cable at our site (40) was not working. Our neighbors had good service. Management was not helpful in resolving this issue. We had no tv problems before or after this stop. The wifi was very weak and probably should not be listed on the website. Some of the long term sites in the rear were a bit messy. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were told this was the highest rated site around, but found the oak trees being decimated by caterpillars, with them crawling all over our tires and falling all over around us. We got some spray and got them off the tires. Site overall was clean, and quiet. Didn't like having to pay for showers and having to check guests in, for what was supposed to be for 30 minute stay. Garbage cans did overflow. Price was to high overall. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Motorhome.

This RV park is in a nicely maintained grassy, green setting with level, gravel pull-thru sites and gravel access roads. The hookups are very good and there is a nice swimming pool. It is convenient to I-95 and it was easy to maneuver within the park with our 43 foot fifth wheel. The WiFi was fair. The gravel access roads make for dusty conditions. This park would be a lot more desirable if the access roads were paved. There is recycling available, on site, with the exception of paper. We would likely stay here again if we were in the area. We stayed at this park for two weeks because of a family wedding in the area. The sites are nice and large. Most of them appear to be quite level. There is lots of space between each site which is really nice but could present a problem for some because the hookups are generally in the middle of the area and quite a stretch. Bathrooms and laundry were clean. First drawback was the price. Their online rate sheet quotes $69/night, weekly rate quote is $485 (10% discount off the nightly rate). This is actually two dollars more than 69 x 7. I had to argue to get my 10% discount (it's simple math people!). I still paid more because of a holiday weekend, $900 for two weeks. At that price they expect their guests to pay for showers!!! They have the usual rules, never enforced the speed limit, but were adamant that my 70 year old mother not be allowed to park at our site but instead in the visiter's lot well away from any rv sites. The park is a gated park requiring a ten dollar deposit for a gate key. Office opens at 9 am, so we waited to leave till then to turn in our key. At 9:10 I called the after hour's cell number. The worker was rude and hung up on me. At 9:20 I called back when there were two of us waiting. She finally showed at 9:28 am. While the sites and park itself were very nice, we wouldn't stay here again because of the price and management /owners. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a large and well manicured campground. All roads and sites are gravel, there are small trees placed throughout but it has a very open feel. The pull thru sites themselves are very level, well spaced with grass between sites. Some of the sites back up to the 2 small lakes. The 30amp seems a little weak for our travel trailer. I am sure the big rigs might have problems. The wifi is good, the cable is very adequate. Lots of room to walk the pups. It is quiet this time of the year, restrooms are clean, laundry room available. This is a good place to stay for a few days and catch up. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
