Overall Rating:

Positives:
Easy access for Big Rigs (we have a 45ft + toad)
Very clean showers and bathroom: Having no sewer hook-ups, I took our three children to the shower house daily.
Lots to do for children: Heated pool, playground, mini-golf, and laser tag
Super easy drive to Mystic Seaport
Laundry facility clean and reasonably priced

Negatives:
No sewer
Pump-out every three nights stayed, but no pump outs on Sunday. We were leaving early Monday and came in on Thursday so we did not get a pump-out.
No middle walkway to shower houses so you have to walk all the way around each row to get to the showers. Easy if its just you, but a pain when you are taking a 1 and 3 year old to the showers.

Overall: We would stay here again if planning on going to Mystic. Several seasonal rigs on site that were extremely well-cared for and maintained. Everyone was very friendly. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The only reason I rate it a 3 star in cleanliness is that the trash was NEVER emptied from the Pavillion we used, and the public dumpsters were so full one could not throw your bags of trash away without them falling on the ground. They were overflowing. I mentioned to the behind the desk staff who said she made a call to get it collected. It is a very pleasant stay other than that!!! We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Old Mystic and Mystic have many attractions, like the aquarium and museums and shopping. It is near the big casinos of CT, not far from Westerly RI. MANY good food spots!! Ocean is near by but not sure what is public and what is not. This campground has a GREAT pool for the kids, very clean and nice. Definitely will return and recommend to friends and family. Great place.

We liked this camp very much for the easy acess and the close location to Mystic, what a great little town. Wish we could have stayed longer but did not have a reservation, they were full and we only got 2 nights, and had to move to a different site each of those nights. Anyway the pool was nice and clean, as was the entire place. Always a representative cruising around to help, and the front desk did help us as much as they could to get us in. Sites were gravel with very little shade but were mostly level. We would stay here again. Maybe on our way back to Florida later in the summer. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground. They have a honey wagon for pump outs, free for a three day stay. Very large lots.

They do not have a dog walk.

Staff was friendly. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We really liked this campground and wanted to score it higher, but because of them not having sewer, they need to make accommodations to the people who don't have big holding tanks. They do pump you out every 3 days for free, but I had to go ask them to do it, some people they automatically did it. They don't have a wash sink for the tent campers and smaller RV's to wash dishes. They need ventilation in the bathrooms, it became very hot in there on warm days. You shouldn't walk through sites, but there is no pathway in the middle to get to the showers which both buildings are on the other side of all the pull throughs. Had to walk a long way around to get to showers. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. Wi-Fi worked pretty well and cable TV worked well. AT&T service was fine. Close to many of the attractions in the area. Pool was nice and they had plenty of chairs. Catered mainly to Class A's and big 5th wheels, but there was a mix of smaller trailers and some tents. Tons of room for the big rigs to maneuver. Sites themselves were pretty deep and the back ins had a lot of room on the sides. Pull throughs were long but smaller on the sides. Small store on site. Would definitely come back again. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Easy drive to visit Mystic. Extremely long, 50 amp, pull-thru site. Easily leveled. No shade, however some sites have shade. No sewer, but free pump out wagon every 3 days. Clean CG & friendly, easy check-in. Pull-thru sites park alternating directions, so hook-ups share sides of the RVs (not the same hook-up). Hook-up side is fairly close with enough room for slides, but the picnic side between RVs is quite spacious. Excellent WiFi with plenty of cable channels. Good Verizon service. Fun things for kids to do. We would stay here again. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here 6 nights while visiting Providence, Newport and Mystic. Park buildings and amenities are clean, well maintained. Sites are gravel, level, spacious, the back-in sites having generally more grassy space between sites than the pull-throughs. The free pump outs are a nice feature since there are no sewers. Laundry is reasonable cost at $2.25/$2.00. Showers in only one bath house located in the center of the large park, so not terribly convenient if you need them. Showers are private, but do not include a private dressing area. There were lots of groups while we were here. Its a nice enough campground, though, with plenty of activities and amenities, and we would stay here again without hesitation. It is much better priced than other rv parks in the area. Pull through sites extremely long. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here a week and really enjoyed the place. It is located so close to so many things! The sites are fairly level, the utilities worked well, good satellite coverage and great WIFI coverage. It was great that they offered the free honey wagon service with a 3 night or more stay. They also have a dump station. The facilities were in very good condition. The laundry was good, $2.00/load. Lots of activities for the kids, mini-golf, laser tag, swimming pool, playground. The only reason I rated them down was the sites are not very long. We had to park "T-bone" to the camper and when it rained, our truck left tracks in their grass. Other than the pull-thrus, all sites looked like they were too short. We would definitely stay here again. Our week flew by way too fast! We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots and Lots to do. Paul's Pasta Shop in Groton is an excellent restaurant. Very reasonably priced. They make their pasta fresh each day. You can watch them make the pasta. Also the submarine museum in Groton was very good and it is free.

Easy entry into pull-thru site from a wide road. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Site not completely flat but nearly so. During season amenities look like fun with a miniature golf and laser tag area. There is a pond but due to rains not easy to get to without getting shoes muddy. Nice stream close to our site. Wifi was good. Was warned that water would be shut off the day we were to leave. A previous park just shut water off without warning so this was an example of good service. Overall we enjoyed the park and would return when in the area again. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Like other reviewers we would give this park a 10 if it had sewer hook up and concrete pads. The sewer is not a problem for us and not the fault of the campsite due to an underground stream running through the site and they have a free honey wagon service but it means we have to mark them down a little. The sites are very generous and spacious and level, gravel or grass. Fire rings and very good condition picnic tables. Lovely pool, quiet location, cable TV and very good wifi. Well maintained grounds and a very clean and neat campsite. It's a large campsite but 3 blocks of restrooms, 2 have showers. We would certainly recommend. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly and easy check in, nice wide but gravel roads, mostly grass sites that are level and wide. The pool and office area are very nice. If they had more landscaping between the sites and sewer hookups my rating would be higher. For a few days stay this is a great place to park. We would stay here again for sure. Clean, crisp-looking upscale park. Sites are level gravel, back-to-back. Good water and electricity but no sewer. Sole dumpster area is at exit - a long way if you're not driving out that day. Nice pool and bathhouse facilities. Cable was worse than antenna reception. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed at with our TT. It would have rated higher if there were septic hook-ups. They do offer free empties every third day but with showering we had to pay $20 for the additional empty of our gray tank. Other than that, the park was really clean, the pool was fun, they had mini-golf and laser tag, the laundry room was spotless and our site was huge. The staff were really nice as well. It was also only a 5-10 minute drive to Mystic Seaport and downtown Mystic. This is a very nice place to stay for seeing the Mystic area. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
