The campground is older but well kept. Many friendly seasonals and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It was raining when we got to the campground but the roads are solid and trees trimmed up nicely. Its very quiet which is what we seek, no noisy late parties or early risers making noise. Showers are clean and they have laundry on site. Overall a pleasant experience and we will be back. We camped at Beaver Pines Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed during a rainy time of bad weather. So many trees that you feel as if you are in a cave at the campground. Hard to maneuver any rig bigger than 28 feet long. Hook-ups worked but needed maintenance. Not a lot to do, Sturbridge Village near by that is it. You have the Nipmuk woods , it might interest some. However the owner is very friendly and extremely helpful, It is a family run campground. Many areas office ,store , are on the "Honor" system, however when in need the best way to reach someone is from the cell phone number they give you. The office registration area is often empty not anyone there to help you. There are many seasonal campers, but they are very friendly and helpful. During tornado warnings the owners said to go to their basement , did not have to help us but did. Quaint old fashion style campground. We camped at Beaver Pines Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Sturbridge Village is closest attraction about 16 miles away. The closest civilaization is Souuthbridge Ma. It says it is in North woodstock, but in reality it is not. North woodstock is about 15 miles away from the campground.

Stayed here for 2 months, July, August. Campground is deep wooded but sites are clean and accessible. Owners are on site and ready to help with anything. plenty of trails to walk, ponds & lakes to fish and enjoy. Lots of permanent residents but all are friendly. We camped at Beaver Pines Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one night while traveling I-95. The staff were very helpful and friendly and had no problems accommodating us without a reservation. The park caters mostly to seasonal campers, who occupy about 3/4 of the sites. Most of the sites were well treed, and the park was very quiet and dark, making for a great sleep. The downside of the wooded sites were some very tricky corners, and backing in my 34' RV was a challenge. Once in, the site was big enough to stay hooked up for the night. Nice. Why a 7? Some, but not all, of the units in the seasonal sites are in disrepair, which always detracts for us. No sewer is available, and there is a fee to use the dump unless you stay two nights. Water is available, but only through a garden hose sized connection. The WiFi isn't provided by the park, it is provided by a few kind seasonal campers who open their network to others. It worked well, but seemed a bit weird, as this seems to be the camp's chosen method to provide WiFi. Finally, our site was busy with mosquitoes and deer flies, but that's nature. We camped at Beaver Pines Campground in a Travel Trailer.
