This park does NOT have a sewer hook up, but they do have a grey water drain and a honey wagon. They guy that runs the place was so nice. They had some great events while here. The RV sites are nestled in the woods and very nice! One of our favorites and we will be back! We camped at Chamberlain Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This rustic, hilly campground is nestled in the woods along Chamberlain pond. The access roads and site pads/patios are gravel. The first 10 sites have water, 30a electric and a gray water only dump port. There is a dump station. These same sites will accommodate bigger rigs more easily as the road is a little wider. The rest of the sites are W/E only and scattered among the seasonals. Most sites are reasonably level but remember this campground is built into the hills so you will need to compensate. The length and width of every site varies somewhat but you had a feeling of privacy in the trees. We had to jockey our 39' rig into a position so the slides avoided trees. Even still, our site's campfire pit ended up under a slide so we didn't have any fires. Tree trimming is needed as the rig scraped against branches when backing into place. Water pressure was 40 - 45psi. 30amp power was stable. In spite of 80 degree temps, we never ran the A/C because the dense tree shade kept the rig much cooler. Cable TV was good and available for $5 a night. There's no wi-fi but our hotspot worked fine. The grounds were clean and maintained. The office/rec room building is fairly new and sports a store, library, game room. Behind it is a large blacktopped pad for listening to music, playing basketball, etc. The 50 acre pond has a variety of fish, no license needed and it's catch and release. We met a number of the seasonals and found them welcoming and engaging. The staff was friendly and very helpful with information about the area. The nightly rate for the Labor Day holiday is bumped to $60. Considering no 50a service, no site dump, no wi-fi, extra $ for cable, site accommodation issues for big rigs, their regular $40 rate is more appropriate for a holiday weekend and still high compared to other campgrounds where a similar daily rate includes all the amenities. We liked the rustic qualities of this campground but would look for other places next time. We camped at Chamberlain Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Labor Day weekend marks the start of the Woodstock County Fair. This event is a big deal and traffic in the area gets really heavy on CT 171 near the fairgrounds. Check out Sweet Evalines for some tasty pizza and sandwiches on CT 169 just North of Woodstock.

Pulled through on my way home from Maine. Owner was a real nice fella and I enjoyed our conversation. Camp site is not an RV park with many amenities, but a great place to stay for wooded sites. Kids enjoyed swimming and fishing in pond. Saw a guy pull in a big largemouth bass. Would consider coming back to fish and have fun. Facilities were clean. We camped at Chamberlain Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a private campground that we thought we'd try.  Sites are pretty close together; wooded/shaded and roomy enough but closer than we would have preferred.  It seems like most of the campers are seasonal or year round.  The roads are sand and gravel.  Cable dost an extra $5 per day. Karaoke is offered on weekends.  Restrooms and showers are clean.  The downside for us was that there was not much to do.  We were here during a few rainy days. There's a small beach on the lake, fishing is possible and they have boat rentals.  No trails for walking.  So this is more of a destination place for some quiet time and it is successful at that.  The new owners are helpful, pleasant and keep up a good campground. We camped at Chamberlain Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Shaded and sunny sites. Lake swimming. Gray water dump at each site. Good Verizon voice & data. Very poor air TV. 1/2 price for PA except weekends. Stayed 4 days. We camped at Chamberlain Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We camped here one night in a motor home. Paid $20 on Passport America (reg rate is $40). Park roads and sites are primarily a sandy gravel that was very clean to drive on even in a downpour. There are sites in heavily shaded trees, as well as sites in an open grassy field. Most sites are seriously out of level. We camped in the field and had to use thick wood blocks under our tires. Getting level here is a problem. No Wi-Fi. Our cell worked OK. The park has a nice 50 acre lake that is large enough to kayak. It looks like a great bass pond, but we only stayed the night and I didn't fish it. The park is on a small country road which had more traffic noise than expected: nothing like an interstate, but not quiet either. We camped at Chamberlain Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Small secluded campground with friendly staff. Very quiet being well away from any major highways or communities. Clean sites and well maintained bathrooms. Gray water drains only, with dump station in middle of campground. Small beach and lake are nice. Will stay there again when the opportunity arises. We camped at Chamberlain Lake Campground in a Motorhome.
