Heading South out of D.C. Stayed here to add Delaware to our state map of places we've stayed. Nice large MHP with lots of RV spaces. All utilities worked fine (water, sewer, electric). Verizon voice and data excellent. We camped at Homestead Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed for 10 Days in September 2016 Nice sites, large pull thru for my RV Grassy sites with a dirt patch where I put my rug. Nice park I was in the area to visit family and it suited us just fine. I was low on Propane and had a local company come right to the site and fill my tank. We camped at Homestead Campground in a Motorhome.

An overnight stay on our way to the ferry from Lewes, DE to Cape May, NJ. We arrived to find ourselves in Christmas in July! Lots of decorations and celebration for the many families camping here. The park was very well organized and clean. Several seasonal campsites were evident, mixed with transients like us. But lots to do for the whole family. Great park for an extended getaway. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We camped at Homestead Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Campground is mostly seasonal but park was mostly unoccupied during our five night stay. The "rustic camping" sites that are available for transient visitors are conveniently located near the front of the park and bath house facility. We arrived after 5:00 pm and office was already closed. Paperwork was left outside at the office. Sites not well marked. Very inconvenient one-way road around "B" loop.

Site 36 was tight for backing a trailer into due to trees close to the road and firewood that was stacked close to the road at an adjacent site. We disconnected in the road and pushed our pop up into the site.

Bath house was cleaned daily during the morning when need was highest. We camped at Homestead Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Campground was convenient for visiting Rehoboth Beach and Cape Henlopen State Park.

We liked the beach at Cape Henlopen State Park. $10 entry fee. Rehoboth Beach has the boardwalk, but parking is a bit of a challenge there. Arrive early and bring quarters.

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting friends in the area. Very clean and pleasant campground. The roads are paved and very easy to navigate. The sites are level and large enough for any size RV plus a tow vehicle. WIFI worked well but no cable available. This is not a destination park but it is a good clean and quiet place to stay while visiting in the area. We camped at Homestead Campground in a Motorhome.

Parking at Rehoboth beach is nearly impossible. Plan on a long walk to the beach if you go on a sunny hot day.

Overall Rating:

We stayed for four nights, since the campground had a special for May-buy 2 nights, get 2 free. Sites are large and level and grassy. We were not given a list of rules, such as what to do with our garbage. We used the showers and restrooms, which were clean, but no shelves in the shower to put soap, etc. and only one hook for towels. Showers were cleaned @ 7:00 AM, so don't plan on taking an early shower.

Pools were not open, but no sign indicated this.

Overall, we felt like we were treated like we were in the way. They mowed one day and the mower came awfully close to our things at our trailer. It's a good thing I stood out there so he didn't get any closer. They also shut the water off and didn't tell us. Wi-Fi was down for two days. The store was closed at odd hours. We had to go and get the lady in the office to get a bag of ice. I'm pretty sure she saw us, but didn't respond until we came to get her.

This may be an OK campground during the summer season. We camped at Homestead Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Outlet shops and grocery stores are close in Lewes. Beaches are not far. Wonderful ice cream on route 9 on the way to Lewes at a dairy farm. Cows are right there, so you may want to eat it elsewhere, due to the "country" smell.

This is the second time I have camped here. It is a very clean and friendly park. The only drawback is that there isn't any cable TV for rainy days. But, we are camping so I can live with that. The seasonal people are very friendly. There is a great playground for the kids. Also 2 dog parks. Several, easy drive, miles from the crowded shore area. A real gem in southern Delaware. We camped at Homestead Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a clean campground with a very friendly and helpful staff. We used this park as a one-night-stand, and didn't use really any of the park amenities, so I can't accurately comment on those. However, they had a nice playground area for the kids, nice looking pool, and a water-soak area for the kiddos to play in. There's a lot of seasonal residents, but the few we encountered were friendly enough. The transient sites are pull-throughs and are LONG! My rig is almost 60' bumper to bumper hooked-up, and I swear I could've fit a car in front and in back of us once we were pulled in. I can't imagine even the longest of rigs not fitting into one of these sites. These sites are a little narrow perhaps, though we didn't have anyone on either side of us (those sites that were occupied were staggered so as not to unnecessarily crowd each other - kudos!). These sites are wide open, so no trees or shade - maybe a downer for long, hot summer days. But for those who have satellite TV, I can't imagine reception issues. The sites are all grass in this area, and a LITTLE sandy, but not overtly so. We didn't go into the camp store (got there after it closed and left before it opened) so can't comment on that, sorry. Nice pavilion near the front gate and seems like they have some good activities. This park gets good marks for cleanliness, well maintained, long pull-through sites, and helpful staff. The park itself is out in the middle of farmland, so if you're wanting a campground close to the "action", this probably isn't your place. But if you want to be 15-20 minutes from the DE shoreline, and away from the crowds, this is a great option. We camped at Homestead Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Camped in a 35 foot RV. Site E 35 is easy access, spacious, grass, level, with tree shade until late afternoon. Good Wi-Fi at site on arrival date, but no access on two subsequent days due to equipment failure. About 11 antenna TV stations. Adult and family pools and splash pad looked clean but did not use them. Lawn games and billiard tables. Laundry and bath houses clean. Quiet. Convenient to beaches. We camped at Homestead Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has been in existence for 40 years. The campground is under new ownership, which has made many upgrades. There are several seasonal sites, which are kept in good condition. The transient section has many sites available which are very large pull-throughs, capable of a large rig and tow vehicle with ample room to spare. The campground staff are doing a great job with the place. There are 2 pools, arcade, camp store, pavilion, dog park and many other amenities. Recently signed up as a Good Sam Park. I enjoy the place enough to become a seasonal and would recommend it to all for the season, or just to get away from the weekend. located about 1/2 hour from Cape May Lewes Ferry and Delaware Beaches. We camped at Homestead Campground in a Motorhome.
