The sites are spacious but seem very close together because the park was very crowded. No privacy between the sites. We were told to park our tow car in the overflow parking because only one vehicle was permitted at each site. I said nearly every site had two vehicles. The comment was "hasn't the ranger been around?". I never saw a ranger in the campground. Lots of kids and lots of kid activities. Very shady. We camped at Trap Pond State Park in a Motorhome.

There was 12 of us there from a Kayak group we all had a great time. It's the 2nd time there for me and this time they added a new Kayak Roller slide for launching and taking out our Boats. It worked out great. Thanks DE State Parks. We camped at Trap Pond State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Site C-27 felt cramped with nearby camp fire pit being used day and night. The pull through Loop D, offers more room. I liked the weekend programs that varied from wagon rides in the woods, pontoon boat tours of the cypress swamp with a ranger to a free local band concert Saturday night. We camped at Trap Pond State Park in a Motorhome.

Everything was perfect. I did think the lake had way to much algae in it at the shore line. We had site B-6 from the 9th to the 11th. We camped at Trap Pond State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Nice shaded campground. It's obviously an older park. Lots of trees, so many trees that on many sites you cannot fit an RV, only a pop up or tent that can be maneuvered around the trees. In fact due to location of some trees and bushes on our reserved site, our 41' Fifth Wheel did not fit even though the site was listed as 45' in length. We got lucky and found an open site and office staff allowed us to move. We had to park on an angle to fit and used long cord to reach our electric box.

Not a lot of space between campsites. We had to put our picnic table and dining canopy behind our RV as there was no room between campsites. We stayed in the B Loop. The bathhouse was very clean, although it could use some updating. Had to stoop to fit under the shower head and the water only stays on for approximately 11 seconds at a time. Had to keep pushing the button while stooping down. A little tricky!

Gray water dump station at each bathhouse. Two dump stations available when exiting the park.

The park is centrally located to the beaches so we were able to make day trips to the different beaches. Also located near lots of antique stores and flea markets. At the park, take the pontoon boat tour for some history of the park. The campground offers free bicycles for you to use. Well maintained trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Campground staff were very nice and very accommodating. We walked around making note of campsites we would fit in for future reference, as were several other people. We will definitely go back. We camped at Trap Pond State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

State Park with lots of activities. Fishing, free bike rentals, trails, great kayaking, nature center, row boat and pedal boat rentals. Check with the nature center for pontoon boat tours. $6.00 very reasonable for one hour informative tour.

Large well spaced sites , on dirt and pine needles. Older bathhouse but clean. Quiet and uncrowded during our weekday stay. We camped at Trap Pond State Park in a Motorhome.

We have camped here many times. Always enjoyed our time here. This time we were a little creeped out by the guy riding around on a golf cart. He was tattooed on arms, neck and face. I guess he was a host. He rode around like he was casing the place. Bath houses were clean, pond was beautifull as usual. The pontoon boat ride done by the park naturalist is a must do for visitors. We camped at Trap Pond State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very good shade, pull-through (Loop D) was fine for my 30' motorhome; however, I saw the longer RVs struggling with the tight spaces between trees. Other loops (A-C) were more accommodating for the longer RVs; however, the electrical and water services were installed so that adjoining spaces shared a common water facet and the electric boxes were back to back. Swimming is not allowed in the pond; however, can boat and kayak. The conditions for bicycling were excellent within the park and the surrounding state and county roads (wide shoulders both directions). Bathrooms need updating. Laundry was $1.50 per load for each of the washers and dryers. We camped at Trap Pond State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice state park. Our site was fairly level and was a pull through with excellent W/E service. GPS directions on our Rand were a little sketchy both going and coming. Staff was friendly and helpful. We camped at Trap Pond State Park in a Motorhome.

Good services, nicely laid out park. Loop D is the only loop allowing pull-throughs, but it doesn't have it's own shower house as the others do. Would stay again. Price reflects 10% Golden Age Pass Discount. We camped at Trap Pond State Park in a Truck Camper.

Stayed here over Labor Day weekend and every site in the entire park was reserved. Water pressure was amazing, although the water had a bad taste to it and was kind of cloudy looking. 50 AMP power was fine and the bath house, although dated, was always being cleaned. It rained a lot over the weekend and lots of sand was tracked into the bath houses. The pond was very low on water but was still able to go out in a boat. You have to check each site to see if you will fit, cause some of them have trees all over. No sewer sites at all, but 2 dump stations at the exit. We camped at Trap Pond State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
