We had stayed here about 10 years ago and when we had to visit Delaware again, we again found that this is the ONLY place to park an RV in Northern Delaware. The price is extremely high because there is no other place to go. Very difficult to get into the park as highway 40 and the Dupont Highway split right in front of the building and there are large traffic walls. We had to go North on the highway, do a huge U-turn in driving rain and rush hour traffic before we could reach the entrance. Also, the name on the sign is different. It's supposed to be Delaware Motel and RV Park but the sign says "Delaware Autocourt-motel and trailer park" Also it says "build to suit" indicating to me that the place is for sale as well. I had trouble calling them for reservations but finally got through. We had a large dumpster next to space one, where they put us but told us "it had just been emptied." One of the big surprises was "the siren". I had read about this in reviews of nearby motels. It seems that the fire department is two doors up and whenever they get a call, even at 12:30 a.m, this enormous civil defense siren starts wailing. I thought it was for a nuclear attack the first time I heard it. It is so loud, its beyond belief, and hard to comprehend that they still do this activity in New Castle, Delaware.

The site we were at had reliable 50 amp service, water, and sewer, and I would have to say, even with the abandoned semi trailers scattered about, the people staying there were very nice to us, didn't bother us, and the maintenance fellow checked us in during a huge rainstorm, and waited out by the site to help us hook up, and he was sopping wet, but took it all in stride. It's just too bad somebody doesn't spend the money to whip the place in shape. They have a nice large area for the RV's, but it seems that there are mostly monthly or semi-permanent residents. There is a motel to the East of the RV park which you drive past to get into the spaces. We camped at Delaware Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This place was way over priced for what it offered , but it was about the only thing available along our route - there aren't many campgrounds in Delaware. It's along a very noisy road, and the fire department right next door adds to the chaos several times a day. As previously mentioned, this is a place for an overnight stop only. There is a lot of junk sitting around from the hotel, and some rather unsavory-looking folks walked through the park while we were there. Nothing more than a gravel lot behind a motel, but the full hookups worked well with strong 50-amp power and water. We don't plan to return. We camped at Delaware Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good place for and overnight stay. When verifying directions with MapQuest use address 259 S. Dupont. And in the Woodalls book it says 50 Ft. where US 40 and US 13 divide, it is really right at the actually divide. There is a Walmart just down the road on the right, you could walk there. But when leaving if you are headed east and want to get on I295, just go down to the WalMart, pull into the parking lot, go out toward Wilton (the street that runs in front of WalMart) turn left onto Wilton, go to the light, cross over US 40/US30, you'll be turning left on to US 40E this will take you back up to I295. Adequate for just a one-night stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sites were all grass, a bit grown up, and off level. Our Garmin calls this location 251 S. Dupont Hwy, rather than 235. The correct coordinates are 39.65440, -75.61784. We camped at Delaware Motel & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Adequate over night stop. Entranced is from North to South with no access back to the North. Must go approximately 1 mile south to go north. Large sites. Most spaces are long term residences. Motel is in the front. The RV park is behind motel. Motel blocks some road noise. We camped at Delaware Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.
