Lowest priced 50 amp full hookup big rig campground by the beach! Camphosts are not the best, they are nosy, and keep an annoying & ugly portable lamp post by their 5th wheel on all night! Camphosts should be advised to never confront campers, they simply do not have great customer service. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Very close to ocean, not many amenities . Park needs to be updated. About 25% of sites on the south side were flooded out due to an evening storm. Peoples mats and coolers floating. The whole south side camping needs to be evaluated for drainage problems. Also the need to enforce the dog issues some sites had 4 dogs or more, when you walked passed sounded like a dog pound.

There was a lot of inconsiderate campers parking their cars along camp drives making it tough for people towing to get into their sites. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice campground if you want to camp close to the beach and still have 50 amp full hookups. Stayed in North campground which borders the Indian River Inlet and Coast Guard station. The beach is just a short walk from the sites and most sites have a beautiful view of the waterway. The campground has wide asphalt roads and pads with grass/gravel/sand around and a picnic table. Pads are level, just long enough for my 45 ft MH and easy to back in to and exit. I parked my tow on the grass. There are no trees, WiFi or cable. In the campground is a playground. Along the inlet waterway is a walking path and easy fishing access. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a large marina 10 minute walk from the campground which has a restaurant, otherwise you can drive 5 miles north to Dewey Beach. A little further is Rehoboth Beach with many big box stores and restaurants.

Located by the Ocean, all sites well spaced and level. Stayed on the north side of the inlet. facilities are modern and cleaned daily.Staff friendly & helpful. there are no trees being at the beach,so have shade ready. you may want to shade your windows from the sun. Full hook up with both 30 & 50 amp service at each site. Rehoboth, Betheny & Fenwick just a couple miles away. Easy access to the beach. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Make a reservation before you go on line. Del. park system will email you info on all the activities that will be taking place during your stay. There is a new restaurant at the inlet south side, that just opened. Upper deck view of the beach, with reasonable prices. Your camping pass gets you into parking area.

Kind of confusing finding the way in from the south to the South Inlet where we stayed. A storm came thru while we were out and we had water an inch or two deep by the steps. Some sites were worse than that. We were on the end of the row so parked the tow in the sand next to the motor home. The 50A breaker was bad so I went to the booth where you register. The lady working called while I was waiting and maintenance was there quickly to replace the breaker. Sites are level but close together, no grass to speak of. The view of the bridge at night was great. Easy ride to Bethany Beach and Ocean City. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

We live in South Jersey, so it was an easy ride down the parkway to the ferry to this State Park. I recommend the north side, as I feel they are a little roomier. The trade off is no camp stores and a little more effort to get to the restaurant and lifeguarded south beach. I would recommend going to Hammerheads at the marina instead of the newer, more popular Chill Grill anyhow. Park staff very helpful, friendly. Nice hosts. This is a good example of what a State Park should be, clean, quiet and well run. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are level and utilities were placed good. We stayed in the south section (cross over the bridge and the entrance is on the right). Interior roads were easy to navigate and were asphalt. I had to park our toad beside our motorhome. Anything longer than 40 feet would have difficulty fitting on a site. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Non-resident rate (not including $4 reservation fee). We stayed on the northern side because of the dog friendly beach. It was very nice to be able to walk there from the camper. Campground design is typical for high-demand coastal locations. No real privacy or shade, but you are steps from the water. Sites were level and clean with modern hookups for power, water and sewer. The spots had a little bit of grass and picnic tables but no fire ring. The suspension bridge is cool to see at night and wasn't too noisy. But I wouldn't camp near the bathhouse because its ventilation system is extremely loud and runs constantly. Inside, it's modern and clean. Another note on the showers: Only the actual shower stalls have a curtain, while the hooks and shelves are in a common changing area. It doesn't offer as much privacy as I would expect at a state park. Nonetheless, we had a great visit and woke up to Reveille playing from the Coast Guard station. Very good Verizon LTE service. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

The only knock here is the tight configuration of sites with no chance of privacy. Nice level, paved, FHU sites, toilets/showers clean and fairly modern. Right on the Indian River Inlet, nice beach access, beautiful view of the bridge, particularly at sunrise. Central location for Rehoboth Beach, Fenwick Isle/Ocean City. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

We didn't care for this park as much as many of the other reviewers. We stayed on the north side, but the south side looked similar. Sites are short, very close together with no shade and no privacy. Even having our rear end hanging over the back, our 43' RV just barley had enough room with no room for the Jeep, so we were forced to park that on the dirt. Limited grass and it was usually very windy all the time. No fire pits due to wind, but that is a plus for us. If you enjoy fishing or a dog friendly beach though, this place is decent. We wanted to visit a couple of other state parks in the area, but unlike most states, you have to pay admission to each one. $10 for out of state residents is ridiculous, so we skipped that. We didn't find the noise level from the nearby highway too bad, but the bathroom fan is loud! A nice little nature trail behind the marina, but the ticks are horrible. Fisherman fishing along the river use the park bathrooms and don't have a lot of respect for site boundaries. Plus side is full hookups and a nice, long dog friendly beach. Good at&t coverage and clear sky for sattelite. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Not a lot of customer service from the registration staff, but you can figure out whats in the area from others. Of course you want to be Oceanfront...but be prepared because it can be very windy. We had a great time at the campground and it is very convenient. Everything was clean and well maintained. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Wow, this is a great spot for a couple of nights to fish, beach, or take in the area. Great sites on north end. In open area, no trees. Paved, nice views, clean restrooms. Can not say it was quiet since you are under pretty bridge but it was peaceful. We only pulled in for night but will be back. Note- did not appear they had fire rings at sites. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice that they are open off season in early March with electricity and sewer. Alas the water is not on. However there is one frost free spigot in the south side campground that can be used to fill water tanks, we arrived with our water tank full instead since we were camped on the north side. The bath houses and laundry room were open too. However the washing machine did not do a final drain & spin cycle, so our clothes were left sopping wet. Also someone dumped a can of soda into one of the dryers, so it was unusable. Google Map the campground before arriving so you know where the north campground is. Signs are unclear. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Grotto's Pizza in Bethany Beach is way better than the one in Dewey Beach. The latter one is closed during off season, and is slow, and sometimes forgets orders. The Southside campground will have a new restaurant starting 2017 summer. Washer $1.25. Dryer $1.00. Quarters only, no change machine, no detergent machine.

We stayed here during the Thanksgiving holiday so the park was not very crowded. We stayed in the north park which seemed to be the newer of the two. We stayed on this side so that we could take our dogs to the beach. Apparently you can only do that on the north side. There was an easy access path to the beach and we utilized that daily. Sites were very easy to navigate with our 43 foot coach and hook ups were well placed. We had a water heating issue so we used the showers on site. The bath house appeared relatively new and the water was warm enough. I can imagine that this park gets crazy busy in the summer season. There is no shade and people come and go frequently to fish off the wall so traffic could probably be an issue. Overall we enjoyed our time there and would return but only during off season. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Great location for Rehoboth Beach DE and Ocean City MD. Full hook up on the north side of Indian River inlet. Sites are paved and level. Due to wind there are no fire rings at any sites. Lots of bike paths and one small nature trail. Walk to beach and fishing in the inlet. Head boats available out of the marina. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Travel Trailer.
