Very nice park. Great value for the Orlando area. The things that make this park good are: 1. great location 2. quiet 3. low cost 4. flat sites 5. good cell and TV reception 6. controlled entry at night 7. great camp staff 8. lot of shade 9. privacy is good. Important things to know: 1. Tight 2. lots of threes next to road 3. no sewer hookup 4. we were in a 34' fifth wheel and had difficulty parking and setting up. 5. anything over 30' the driver needs to be really good 6. dump station is poorly designed for larger RV Great place for a few days and a smaller RV. We camped at Magnolia Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great little park North of Orlando. The park itself is beautiful and as others mentioned there are several peacocks roaming throughout. The sites are nice and very wooded. Just a heads up the road through the sites is very narrow with one particular tree that grows at an angle over the road. It was difficult for me to get through with a 40ft DP even using a spotter. I am sure that more skilled drivers can do it but I'd recommend taking it very slow. Also, our site, #7, was not level and our auto leveller lifted the front tires off the ground. There seems to be no real consensus online if this is a bad situation (some say never do it, others say it is OK) but we did it for 4 days and had no problems. We skipped the dump station because again it looked somewhat difficult for a bigger rig to get in to. The campground overall had a great woodsy feel with very clean facilities and a lot of places to walk/hike. Its convenient to a lot of restaurants, a home depot, and a really nice Winn Dixie. We camped at Magnolia Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The close Winn Dixie is one of their newer designs and is probably one of the nicest grocery stores I've ever been in.

Very secluded wooded sites. Had a pretty level gravel base. Sites were not very large but plenty of privacy bEcause of the trees between sites. There was plenty is seperate parking adjacent to the sites. Convenient to Publix and restaurants within 5 he Breakfast Club is particularly good. Showers were clean and spacious although the there was no private changing area. There were about 6 peacocks roaming the grounds, pretty cool. Had good cell service, acceptable satellite and about 60 OTA channels. We camped at Magnolia Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is our 3rd time staying at this park. It's a secure place with locked gates in the evening, and peacocks roam freely during the day. Most sites are spacious with some foliage between so you may not notice your neighbor as much. The trees can make navigating a little tight if your unit is larger than 32 ft. The bathhouses are the only thing that might disappoint - they are extremely basic without any bench to place your things except outside the curtain stall, and there's only enough hot water for one person, so plan accordingly. We enjoy staying here as it feels more secluded and private. The staff are friendly and we met the park supervisor who is very nice and can tell you when the next rocket launch will be at Kennedy Space Center. Each site has a paved patio with picnic table and fire ring - firewood is provided for a great deal, though they ran out this visit due to their wood splitter needing maintenance. We got perfect Verizon 4G-LTE data signal here, but cell service was spotty with 1-2 bars, possibly due to the heavier tree cover at our site. We plan to come back next year. We camped at Magnolia Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a coin laundry place near Old Time Pottery in Ocoee. Publix is the nearest grocery store just a couple miles south.

The staff are very friendly and they routinely clean up sites and do security checks. The gate is locked after park hours, but campers receive an access code. There is a 14-day max limit and you can only reserve 45 days in advance, although there is no deposit required. Sites are spaced nicely apart with some separated by foliage, making them feel private. Sites are concrete pads with a picnic table & firepit provided. Firewood is provided here as well for a great deal. There are 2 bath houses but located in the same general area, so only southeast sites are close-by without much hiking. It was pretty quiet during our stay, maybe half or less of the sites were filled on weekends. I was eaten up by mosquitoes my first night, ants are abundant but didn't bother us, and a few peacocks roam freely around the park, which is a nice site. Watch out for the huge orbital spiders here, we saw 3. The one-way road through the campground is narrow and windy, so I wouldn't recommend big-rigs here. We could tell that the owner has great attention to detail, like adding an extended concrete pad to the road when exiting the dump station because of a tree making the turn difficult. No sites have sewer. I work online, so Verizon coverage is important to me - had reliable cell coverage and LTE data here. No wifi is available. We camped at Magnolia Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Publix is a few miles south. Apopka has lots of dining and shopping, but I don't recommend going there at night. I preferred to do my business in Ocoee.

Universal Studios is only 20 minutes away!

Nice campground. Most of the sites are well spaced apart except #9. It is very close to #10. My only complaint about this park is with the bath house. The dressing area floods while taking a shower and there are no electric plugs, however, it was clean and well stocked during our stay. The amenity we enjoyed most about this park is that one of the trail heads to the Lake Apopka Loop Trail is right across the street. We biked about eight miles of the trail. The trail consists of hard packed gravel/marrow. We saw a variety of birds, several alligators, and one Water Moccasin(beware!). A great bike ride! Several restaurants are nearby in Apopka. We camped at Magnolia Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a lovely Orange County park located across the road from Lake Apopka. There is a boat ramp (free)and playground at the lake and two playgrounds in the main park. Also, a small lake and basketball court in the main park. All sites are shaded by large oak trees, with paved pads, fire rings, tables and lateran poles. The peacocks can be a little noisy buy they are magnificant. The park can be crowded on the weekend, especially during the winter months. Gates locked at 6PM, reservations must be made "in person". We camped at Magnolia Park in a Tent Trailer.
