We found this park to be very quiet and not crowded. Maybe people were turned off by the prior review, but we loved it. We had a reservations but had not reserved any particular spot. The host was not available when we arrived so we called and were told that he was out mowing and that we could take any site that did not have a reserved sign. There were many to chose from and we drove around once just to look at them all. After one time around the host came up to us and mentioned that the best spots were in the tree lined areas on either side of the park. The middle areas had little shade and the temps were expected to be in the mid 90s. We chose a spot on the west side. Plenty of room for our 24ft TT. Nice pool with no one there on Friday. We used it several times and it was open to dusk, which we enjoyed. Paved path over to the springs which were very nice. The spring had just opened a few weeks before. (At this time of the year this area can flood due to the high waters of the Suwannee River draining into the springs.) We experienced no fire ants or gnats as prior poster had mentioned. Bathrooms very clean but very hot! Fans or vents would be a nice welcome. There were bike lanes on the road coming in and all the way to the paved Nature Coast Trail. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We camped at Hart Springs campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo

We wanted to check out the springs, so we decided to reserve 3 days. Campground is OK, but there are too many little kids running around. The wife and I tried to go use the pool, but they let people from the area pay to use it, so it had like 40 kids swimming in it. We went to the springs, but it didn't look like the picture with bright clear blue water. It was clear, but everything was covered in a green slime. It was not pleasant. So overall this place is great for families with small kids. Nothing much else here. Oh almost forgot, if the fire ants don't carry you off, the gnats will. Our site was full of fire ants. We camped at Hart Springs campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo
