We previously stayed away, due to all of the negative reviews about the loud music/bar on-site. Our experience was wonderful, and we will go back. We stayed on a river front site 17, and the view was lovely. The pool is huge, and kept spotless clean. Hot tub was a relaxing treat. There are boat tie ups, if you camp with a boat. We did not eat or drink at the on-site bar, but never heard any of the music or partying that previous reviewers experienced. Possibly was their campsite proximity to the action. We heard nothing, and slept like babies. We will definitely go back. We camped at Ellie Ray's RV Resort & Lounge in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This campground suffers from an identity crisis. They call themselves a "Resort" but they are more accurately a location for locals to drink at the campground bar and stagger back to their campers on the weekends. We arrived with the idea of staying several months but left after 2 weeks. Campground rules are not followed or enforced by management. Kids driving 4 wheelers, screened rooms and tarps everywhere when rules forbid unless hooked to your awning. Quiet time is a joke and when bands play at the bar you hear them late into the night. Dirt roads with deep pot holes. 2 dumpsters that are spilling over with garbage and swarms of bugs. Sitting outside was a constant battle of killing flies. The breaking point was enduring a week of brown water coming from our faucets. What I resent the most is that on previous reviews the water problem is mentioned but the management dismisses this as being untrue, saying "don't know about the brown water as we have a new filtering system". I can tell you that a new filter or not ....it is true. Explain it to your customers, don't lie about it. Campers come to your establishment in good faith to enjoy and spend money and we depend on accurate reviews to guide our decisions. Very disappointing. Will never return or recommend. We camped at Ellie Ray's RV Resort & Lounge in a Fifth Wheel.

I felt like I needed to take a shower just thinking about using the bathrooms. The ones back by the bar were so nasty that I couldn't even begin to tell you. In the front of the park they were somewhat cleaner. We paid extra to stay on the water. The view of water was beautiful That is the only good thing you will get out of my review. The sights were absolutely horrible. You are right on top of each other. The bar was supposed to close down @ 11 I heard loud music until 3 in the morning. The restaurant was nasty! Smoking allowed inside it. Seems like it was not really for campers, but mostly locals. The band was actually decent. Our camp site was dirty when we got there with beer bottles & cigarette butts. I did get that all cleaned up before we put the rug down. Perhaps they are understaffed? I have stayed at many camp resorts before, and this is definitely not in that class. We camped at Ellie Ray's RV Resort & Lounge in a Travel Trailer.

BEWARE..This is not a resort,or anything like a resort. You're not near the river like stated. A view will cost you 65/75 a day..Please. Over the bank, more trash..stray feral cats. That spray on everything, roosters that crow all night.. There is not a level place in this park which claim there are pads. Not true..Pads for picnic tables which I couldn't use them as they were broken down. Park claims to have full grounds staff, if so they aren't working ..we saw one guy the whole time blowing the office leaves. The smell is from raw sewage; board of health should be called. Not sprayed for bugs..take your chances. Young People live in this park with kids..working on a pipe line..run down trailers lots of junk on the grounds, plus sites are full of trash, barking dogs ..one bit our little guy..she didn't have hers on a leash. Staff member said she would call her, but the dog still runs free. The dumpster was so full..spilling over..never ending flies..you couldnt even sit out. The road into the dump is full of deep holes and ruts..We stuck it out a week because park will not refund your money for any reason. Look at your reviews ..this is not a good place. Wi-fi terrible and no TV. We were told he has a temper, don't cross him from another camper in the park. They have a bar and weekends wont be a place for quiet. quiet time is at 11 pm. It's a party hut for his renters. I wish i could say something positive about it,but if it saves another traveler from here it was worth it. We usually travel with groups, but this time we didn't, so all we can do is tell everyone we see.. We camped at Ellie Ray's RV Resort & Lounge in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nothing to do in that town..lots of empty buildings, very poor town with lots of nasty looking yards and houses..so sad. It's 30 miles to get to the city..very nice..wish we had stayed there. Pretty fields and cows, but that's all there is to see.

Overall Rating:

The park road was so bad my class A motorhome became stuck in the sand. Lots are small, filthy, and uneven to the point that slides would not go out and levelers were at their max and still could not level even on top of blocking. Campground owner was abusive and violent. Other campers there were not there for recreation, they were there because they were working on a pipeline nearby and warned us that the owner was unstable. Our experience was horrible and the owner said that if we would leave he would give us our money back and to meet him at the office and then disappeared. We called the Sheriff's office and they sent three deputies at which time the owner appeared and agreed again to give us back our money via credits to our credit card the next day. We left still two days later the owner did not give us the $654.00 credit instead called and said we should get a lawyer. We will pursue all options including warning others not to go there. Worst experience ever with a campground and we have been enjoying camping for a long time. We did not stay even one night and I advise others to stay clear! Rough dirt roads. Bands blast music until 2 AM. Cattle feed lot nearby--terrible odor. Lacking routing maintenance (fences falling down, picnic tables rotted out). Rude employees. We camped at Ellie Ray's RV Resort & Lounge in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice level open wide lots on dirt roads and sites. WiFi was good and open enough for satellite to work. Staff was friendly and helpful. Right on the Sante Fe River. Basically in the middle of nowhere with local grocery store about 10 mils away. We camped at Ellie Ray's RV Resort & Lounge in a Travel Trailer.

Great park right on the Santa Fe River. Stayed for a month and will be back. New owners have plans for a pool complex to be completed in a few months and many other improvements. Will be back next year and probably stay longer. We camped at Ellie Ray's RV Resort & Lounge in a Fifth Wheel.

Under new management since June 2012, and they are adding even more new things. One of the better RV sites in the area. It was one of the only ones open after the Debbie flooding. Free Wi-Fi worked well. On Santa Fe River. Has boat dock and landing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very near Ichnetucknee River and Spring, Ginnie Springs, etc. A lot of campers rent spaces all summer long and go every weekend. (Lots of repeat patrons). Pet friendly. Lounge nearby with live music. Clean bathrooms and showers. Laundry also. We camped at Ellie Ray's RV Resort & Lounge in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Nice campground on the banks of the Santa Fe River. Office folks very friendly. Had a real nice riverfront site w/fire ring. Only negative I saw is they rent riverfront lots to long term campers. Looks like some campers have been there for awhile. Doesn't seem quite fair that most of the riverfront sites were campers that have no one around them. Guessing these are folks that come here in the summer time. Branford and Bell are the closest towns. Not large cities, but have grocery stores and a couple of restaurants. Wi-Fi worked very well. Just a couple of TV channels. We were under trees and could not use Sat dish. Boat launch and large floating dock on premises. Will be back. Everyone at the park was friendly. We were offered site #10 on the river when we arrived. It had a great view of the river. Campground can get a little loud however we didn't mind. We look forward to going back. We camped at Ellie Ray's RV Resort & Lounge in a Motorhome.
