Was referred here by a friend, will never stay at this park again.

Checked in on a Friday afternoon, nobody in the office for check in, and it was only noon. Found a nice somewhat level spot and set my trailer up. Neighbors are mostly permanent and living there full time, everybody was friendly, waved as we pulled in.

Park amenities, bathrooms were sub par and dirty, showers were dirty and you could see through the doors, lots of tents in the front of the roads, disheveled looking campsites, lots of tarps and junk at those sites.

Kids as young as 5 running around unsupervised.

On Sat went to the office to see about paying and find out what there was to do in the area.

The lady in the office was very rude as she spoke to me and my wife, told us the price for us to stay for a week, was more then I was quoted over the phone(almost like a bait and switch at the last minute). Asked about the difference in what I was quoted, and was told I was wrong. Proceeded to ask about what there was to to in he area, and she kind of brushed us off, an with a slight attitude was told about the beach and not much more,

There was a bar/restaurant called the Black Cloud, heard the food was really good but was told that it was not open.

The campsite was good, dry, it rained a little but no standing water. The roads are very narrow, uneven but no mud at least.

Had a nice stay in the area.

I won't go back there due to the so called management, asked who the owner was and was told he was away on vacation and could not be reached.

The woman was very rude, very nosy as well (would ride around on a golf cart and just looked at campsites with a angry look on her face).

I feel the owner needs to take more of a hands on approach, and possibly replace some of the management staff with some more friendlier people.

If you plan on staying here, get used to the sound of motorcycles on the weekend nonstop due to the track that's behind the campground. We camped at Thunder Gulch in a Motorhome.

This is a large muddy field with mostly permanent residents, and many noisy motorcycles. I didn't feel very safe at this campground which is unusual for me. Florida had a rainy winter and ground was soft and muddy everywhere. It didn't rain while we were here. Very tight spaces on 3 sides. Zero privacy. Little rowdy at night, but it was a weekend. We camped at Thunder Gulch in a Fifth Wheel.

There is a motocross park next door that is busy on the weekends. We did not notice any excess noise from them as another stated. The roads are dirt and narrow, but in good shape. The spots were grass, but level. We had a lot of rain the weekend we were there and did not see any standing water. The bathhouse/showers are old but clean. The lady that checked us in was pleasant. The spaces were a bit narrow and with a narrow road it could cause someone with a big rig to have an issue backing in. We were OK with our 34' coach. We were there over New Years eve and were afraid there would be a lot of noise with the bar/restaurant at the entrance, but it was a quiet peaceful evening. Most of the units were old permanent ones that gave the park a "red neck" feel, but every one was friendly or just stuck to themselves. We will stay again next time we are in the area. We camped at Thunder Gulch in a Motorhome.

Pricey but not bad for the coast. Infrastructure showing age. Plenty of room when we were there. Would use them again. We camped at Thunder Gulch in a Motorhome.

Overall it is a quiet park with mainly permanent campers. There is a motocross park next door, that can be a little noisy on the weekends. There is a large bar/restaurant as part of the campground, the food is great. People come from all over the area for the Fridays all you eat fish dinner and etc...The entertainment is really good with the Palm Coast Swing Band and others performing weekly. What appears to be a "Biker" bar and campground is truly now designed for a older crowd. The owner is very hands on, and keeps most everything up nicely. The staff is friendly, and try to accommodate the campers. Access to the park is not bad if you are heading south on hwy 1. If you are coming from the south, prepare for some u-turns on a major highway. The sites are large, and easy to back into. The price is not bad for the area, and its a pretty well kept older campground, no frills, but quiet and peaceful. I would recommend here if you are looking for a quiet spot for a couple days, and still be in easy traveling distance of the beaches, state parks, etc... We camped at Thunder Gulch in a Motorhome.

The major thing wrong with this park is the noise. It's right next door to the lighted motocross track. You have to love bikes in order to want to stay here because you'll hear them from noon until night every day. The restrooms were very old and not very clean. Other than that the park looks average and the rate is good for this area if you can tolerate the noise. We camped at Thunder Gulch in a Travel Trailer.
