Rate reflects monthly special. My wife and I have been RVing all over the country for the last year and this is one of the nicest parks we've stayed at. The park is always kept immaculately clean. The spaces are big and level. The common grounds are always well maintained and manicured. The restroom and showers are very clean and neat. It has a great exercise room, a big billiards hall, 3 swimming pools, a couple of very nice laundry facilities, shuffleboard and pickle ball courts.

The staff there were just great. I can't say enough nice things about them. They help with your setup and bend over backwards to help everyone staying there. They definitely made us feel very welcome.

I would highly recommend this park. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We only stayed here overnight during a long drive, so we didn't get to see the entire park or use most of the amenities. It is a huge RV Resort, with many park models but also a large area for RVs. The staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful, and we were escorted to our very long pull-through site. $19 (December special) for a full hookup 50 amp pull-through was perfect for our overnight stop. There is a large fenced dog park on site, with separate areas for large and small dogs. AT&T and Verizon worked well. Unfortunately we encountered two big downsides. First, the RV sites, at least the ones we saw, were right next to I-75 and the highway noise was some of the worst we've ever experienced. We would probably not return unless we could get a site pretty far from the interstate (which probably means it won't be $19). Second, the sites were mostly a sand/grass mix, and were full of sand spurs which made walking our dog a treacherous act. He got painful spurs in his paws several times and we got several in our fingers just while working around the RV. The park looks like it has a lot of potential, but unfortunately we'll have to think twice before returning due to these two drawbacks. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stopped for an overnight and arrived late. Followed signs to registration area and called the number posted. People came very quickly and guided us to our site. Nice long pull through. Long sewer run with toad hooked up but we didn't need it. Only drawback was that we didn't know what to do with trash. Saw someone picking up trash in a pickup truck so we left it at the site in the morning. Will stay again when in the area. Would not mind staying longer. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I wish I could rate this park higher than 7 but it could be so much better. We stayed here 2 winter(snowbirds) so far and have great friends here from all over so we return here. WiFi is available but not free. You must sign up with separate WiFi vendor and WiFi signal strength is poor even right next to the towers. We used our cell phone data plan as well as the near-by McDonalds free WiFi. I thought the office staff was not well informed and bordered on being rude at times. Some sites are close to I-75 and have lots of traffic noise. Bushnell is a small town in a rural area so sometimes you must drive a good way for some things. On the plus side there are many activities and music jams going on at this park and most other area parks. Overall this park offers a reasonable compromise between monthly price, warmth (in winter), and activities. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here 8 days with Passport America discount. Large RV Resort with well kept facilities. Sites were large and well kept. Restaurants, ice cream shop, Wal Mart Super Store in walking distance. Many permanent campers and homes here. Easy access off of I-75. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Can't complain about a long, level, pull through on grass for the Passport America rate of $18 in February. We didn't pay extra for Wi-fi. Large dog park and lots of places to walk the dog. Very friendly folks. Clean bathrooms. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Not a bad campground. Spent 1 night, arrived after hours, but there is a phone number and someone came down right away to put us on a site that was close to the hot tub as I can't walk very well. Hot tub was probably the smallest I have ever seen, and it could have been hotter. We did not find the comfort station's as we did not have a map of the campground until we left the next day. We were on our way home or we might have stayed longer. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were surprised that an RV park this size could be so nice. At check-in staff were pleasant, and we were escorted to our site. The site was a pull-through and very spacious with 20/30/50 electric, water, sewer, and cable TV. Everyone in the park was very friendly. The park has a mixture of permanent, long term, and transient campers. Carefree Resorts has done a nice job with this park. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nightly rate reflect the Passport America discount. This park is huge with a majority of it dedicated to permanent residents. The park has many big trees which make for nice shady dog walks. We had a nice long pull thru site situated with other travelers. All people we encountered were friendly and kind. The bathrooms and laundry were clean. I was able to take the dogs for an hour long walk and never leave the park or retrace my steps. There are loads of daily activities to keep you social and busy. It is easy to access the park from the freeway. A downside is that the Wi-Fi is only available for a fee from a vendor. We would stay here again. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

It is now called Red Oak. Red Oak is the combination of two parks, the Red Barn and The Oaks. It is a large park that caters to day campers and snow birds. The staff was friendly. The roads are blacktop and the pads were grass. There were many activities offered during the day and evening. Cable television was included in the rates. Wireless was offered at an additional fee. We would have rated the park higher, but our site was next to the interstate. It is a Passport America park. We will stay here again. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

I believe the name has been changed to Red Oaks, combining Red Barn and The Oaks as one park. Also see the reviews for The Oaks RV Resort. This is a Carefree RV Resort park and a snowbird haven! The park was crowded during our stay. Some but not all of the sites are close but not too tight in comparison to many Florida winter destination parks. Quiet except for the traffic noise from I-75. Depending on where you are in the park, the traffic noise may not be an issue. Grass/sand sites. Cable TV available. Many activities during the winter season. Extremely nice and accommodating management. Sites vary with full shade, partial shade, and no shade. Many seasonal/permanent homes. Pleasant and friendly residents. The utility connections at some sites are a little awkward and farther away from the rig than most parks. Very narrow interior roads. Good, inexpensive, Mexican restaurant close by, Coyote Rojo. Strong signal with AT&T. Wi-Fi available through Tengo Internet. Rate reflects Tampa RV Show special, required reservations to be made at show. We would stay here again and will give this park consideration for a longer stay during the winter season next year. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for just one night while traveling around the state but would love to return here for a couple of months in the winter. The staff was friendly and we were escorted to our site. The bathrooms were clean and large, the grounds were lovely, and the entire place was very clean. The only negative was some distant road noise from the interstate - not really much of problem but you could hear the big trucks using their Jake brakes. There is a Wal-Mart just across the street. Access is easy for big rigs. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Truck Camper.

Overall Rating:

This park was large and had a variety of sites, many of which were seasonal. There were a lot of activities available including day trips arranged through the office (extra $). There were also park hosted music events (scheduled and impromptu), exercise classes, bingo, cards, quilt shows, dancing, church services. The majority of the people who stay here are retired, so there were few children around. Those who were there were likely visitors for short stays. There are 2 parks side by side, The Oaks and Red Barn RV Resort which was recently acquired by the owners of The Oaks. The Red Barn is much closer to I-75 and not as nice but is improving. The pools (3) are nice, heated, and there is a whirlpool at the one by the office. The jets were not working while we were here but the water was very warm and took the chill off. The down side to this park is that the Wi-Fi was horrible, not owned by the park, and not reliable. There was a $4 per day fee for little to no access. I guess you could go to the library at the park to get web access if you wanted to, we didn't. There is a super Wal-Mart across from the park so you can get groceries and miscellaneous other necessities without going far. Everything else is a drive to get to. We enjoyed ourselves here, would have liked a nicer site but it was OK. If I were going to stay longer than a few days, I would have liked to have more options for what site I stayed on. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.
