The campground was nice but it is not a resort in my opinion it doesn't really have any other amenities then an above average campground for the price they charge. The campground is hard to maneuver through due to the layout of the sites the pull thru site we had was a 90 degree turn to enter and depart if any other vehicles are parked nearby it makes it almost impossible to enter or leave your site towing a travel trailer or driving a motorhome. One of the stalls in the men's bathroom was out of TP for two days and the showers needed a good cleaning. The pool was nice and the beach being directly across the road was a plus. All in all we had a pleasant experience while staying there. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We made our reservations at close to the last minute. There was plenty of room during the Summer here. Making the reservations was very easy. Most of the sites are pull-through. All are full hook-ups. This looks like a brand new resort, but is in fact quite old. They obviously have made many upgrades. The sites are all concrete and have patios with a picnic table on it. There are plenty of palm trees and shrubs at the sites. The pool was a good size. The staff was very friendly and helpful Although this isn't the "touristy" part of Florida, there still are plenty of things to do, great places to eat, plenty of places to drink, nice beaches, nice biking and hiking areas, etc. St George Island is only about 30 minutes to the West. If you are into lighthouses there are 4 within 1.5 hours drive in either direction. One is just down the street (see photos). There is also a military museum within walking distance. This is one of those lovely "Best Kept Secrets" in Florida. We will likely be back. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed on the east side (Haven area) for 3 nights. This side of the resort can accomodate longer RVs. The resort is in a handy location along Highway 98 close to a public beach. A dog run is available on the park's west side, as is a pool, laundry and small rec area. I felt that some upkeep was needed - weed pulling, etc. There were several boats on trailers parked with RV rigs which made the navigating a bit cumbersome. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Carrabelle is 3-4 miles to the east with groceries available and a few restaurants. Eastpoint is 10 miles to the west with the same amenities. St. George Island is 12 miles or so to the southwest via causeway and has very nice beach areas. Apalachicola is 15 miles to the west - charming fishing town with numerous tourist shops, galleries, good cafes.

Stayed at this resort for two weeks at end of our winter stay in Texas. A great spot to enjoy gulf beaches. You have to cross the highway to access the beach but the barrier trees and vegetation and highway allows gulf shore breezes to be significantly reduced so that is a positive in our opinion. The part entrance off Hwy 98 comes up quickly just west of the village of Carrabelle so be prepared. Entrance is fine but if you stay at the adjacent property you need to exit the property where you checkin to access your site. I suggest phoning ahead to confirm what property your site is on to save you from the nuisance of pulling in only to pull out after checking in. As pointed out access to sites are at a 90 degree angle which can be tight depending on your approach and neighboring RVs. We had a 43 Ft motorhomr and were ok but once again it's easier to be forewarned. Sites provide adequate spacing between neighbors but for the price you might expect more room in some states. Pad is cement and slanted to the side for drainage so not as level as you might expect. Hookups convenient. Water pressure is low (abut 40 lbs). 50 amp was fine. Cable was excellent and many choices. WIFI absolutely terrible. Cost of sites should include reliable WIFI. ATT worked fine. Our site was clean and maintained. No issue with that. Vegetation on site but no shade trees. Never used satellite tv but no obstructions on most sites that I saw. This is our 3rd trip to Carrabelle Beach RV Resort and we look forward to future trips. Site costs are a tad steep and as noted WIFi terrible but we will no doubt return and hope for future improvements. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This was our third stay here - and although the location makes it a great place to stay, I feel like their standards have dropped a little, and their prices gone up. Was disappointed to find a significant amount of loose trash on our site and noted that the sites in general needed a refresh of mulch and removal of debris and weeds. Even so, this is a great place to stay, but we may try the campground closer to Apalachicola next time! We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Our site was close to the busy highway. The road noise did not bother us as we were inside most of the time. The grounds are not paved or covered in grass at all, although there are palm trees and a really nice view of the Gulf if you walked down to the water. The whole park was covered in crushed limestone and sea shells which was easy to track into your rv especially with dogs. I did not find it attractive in that way but it was an ok overnight spot in a reasonable price range. The wi-fi was not good at all, very sketchy. The tv reception was good. There was a small grassy area to walk the dogs on a leash. The hosts were very pleasant. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Carrabelle appears to have attracted artists from various places. The town is attractive in that it has a harbor on the Gulf with fishing boats and pleasure boats. Seemed like a little quaint town.

Spots are head in at 90 degrees to very narrow road. Have to unhook tow vehicle just to maneuver roads. Large rigs had trouble getting in spots. Pad was not flat, could not get fully level without blocks under the jacks so we just lived with it. Wi-Fi unusable even when I went to laundry/rec room. Overall Rating:

This RV park's main selling point is that it's a great location to a wonderful sandy beach. You can walk right across the road to the beach and bonus, the beach is dog friendly (on leash). The landscaping was nice, and the staff kept things in perfect shape, but these are very tight spots. I would not want to have a 45ft rig in 1 of their pull in sites. The pull thrus would be fine for larger rigs. The sites were pretty slanted which I don't usually expect for a higher priced private park but we were able to get leveled. The laundry was really nice with 5 double sized front loaders and 5 double sized dryers. They are very new and in great condition. The price was also affordable for $1.50 per wash and $1.50 per dry. There's a fenced in dog run and lots of good walking areas for dogs. They have a good sized store and all of the buildings were in good condition and clean. The bathrooms and showers were excellent. Strong 50 amp with cable. Park Wifi was very slow to the point of not really being usable. We used our hotspots. Verizon was 5.5 d/l and ATT was 25 d/l unboosted. Didn't try T mobile. Grocery shopping was not great. There's a small IGA nearby which was overpriced and not much else. No Walmart. So stock up. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is our second time staying here on a trip from the West Coast to East. We reserved and got a spot on end of a row facing the beach and US 98. Although there is traffic, it quiets down and night and the easy access to the beach far outweighs any issue the highway. The location of the park is great for access to the Forgotten Coast. We love the area with its feel of the Old South. There are NO HIGH RISE condos!!! We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have have camped here many years and enjoyed it. The park is pretty and appears well taken care of, but the lots are pretty tight and hard to maneuver through the streets and turns. Park doesn't have any shade from the hot summer sun. Restroom facilities are dated, but appear clean and well maintained. The pool is the best part, but this year we experienced something at the pool and will never return. This park is suppose to be kid friendly, but they allow smoking around their pool and kids play area. I do not want to be around smoke while swimming and I certainly don't want my kids to be around smoke EVER. I also witnessed an altercation between a young family and a rude smoker that was very unfortunate. I think smokers can take a break away from the pool area when they need to smoke and then return. We will not be back. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We really enjoyed this campground. It was a little tight to maneuver but our site was a drivethru and had plenty of parking room with a swing and picnic table. Landscaping was nice and everything was very neat. For $10 you can wash your motorhome, and we did. Small fenced dog park but sufficient. Across Hwy 98 to beach and during our visit, there were very few people. Beach is dog friendly which is a huge plus for us. Laundry takes credit cards which is helpful. Quiet little town, grocery 2 miles. Pool area was nice and large screened porch adjacent to laundry for visiting while waiting. Office staff friendly. We would definitely come back here. After registering and being assigned a site walk to it prior to driving to it. The ends of the loops were very tight for a 40' motor home. I was instructed as to how to get to our site but had I taken a different route it would have been easier to negotiate.

The camp store has RV supplies, some food, wine, beer, and candy. Pool was nice but not heated, no hot tub. Very close walk to the beach.

The park location is fabulous--across the street from a white sandy beach that is dog friendly. The worst aspect is some of the palm trees are located right at site entrances and make it difficult to swing a big rig into a site, especially if a car is parked across from the lot. But it's a nice park, clean with concrete pads and a picnic table. If you are unfortunate enough to be assigned a spot in the adjacent park across from the entrance, it is not nearly as nice (no landscaping). We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.
