They have a very few waterfront sites available and we were lucky to get one. The interior sites are nice too, but not as spacious. The park is very clean. Nice facilities. Friendly people. Very low key and relaxed. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Motorhome.

Post Irma stay: Basic sites and roads are paved, roads are mostly one way and wide enough that you should have no trouble getting around. All sites are back in with plenty of room for the tow. This place was under 5-7' of water with the storm surge from Irma. You'd never know it. The place was spotless and the landscaping seemed untouched by the storm. Verizon phone and mifi worked well as did the on site Wifi. Showers were clean with good hot water and pressure. These sites are all privately owned and you have no real choice of which sites you will get till you show up. The nights were quiet and there's not much going on in the area in the way of night life, suited us fine. Fishing is the big entertainment in the area along with paddling. We'd stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Motorhome.

What we loved: beautifully landscaped lots! This resort is gorgeous, since it has been established for a while, and the palms and tropical plants are beautiful. What we didn't love: the wifi didn't work at all, and when I called to complain, I got the usual runaround (try different towers, it's just busy right now, etc.). The other issue, which was not the resort's fault, was that our waterfront site was so windy due to its location that we were buffeted around like crazy while we were there. The inner lots looked much quieter and had a lot of vegetation for privacy and wind protection. Restrooms and showers were spotless and the resort had three pools and hot tubs throughout. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Motorhome.

Not a cheap place to stay but a wonderful location in the heart of the Everglades with lots to do from Naples 40 minutes north to fishing, Everglades tours, air boat rides and boat rentals just minutes away. Stayed a month and look forward to returning. All sites are privately owned and many not available for rent lots of full timers but no park models or permanent structures. Right on Chokoloskee Bay. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This is relatively backcountry camping with major grocery and other shopping about 25 minutes away with a couple small stores nearby for basics. If you come in early February be sure to check out the Everglades City Seafood & Music Festival. Awesome Event. Everglades City National Park Boat Center has a wonderful Sunset Boat Cruise and Shark Valley is another National Park that offers a 2 hour tram ride that is excellent. Fishing out of Chokoloskee or Everglades City is fantastic.

Overall Rating:

Our 2nd time here and lot owners made us feel very welcome. We stayed for 2.5 months and took part in the resorts activities. Able to drive our golf cart around the island and to the local Cuban Restaurant. The roads are very navigable and was easy to back into our lot. I liked that this resort is very well maintained, garbage pick up daily as well as a crew going around trimming trees. Roads are all well paved, and if you like boating or fishing, this is a must stop. We got a dock lot, so while we did not bring a boat, could of docked it right on our own bay dock. As we do not own a pet, was great to see that dog owners had to take their dogs out of the park 1st to do their business. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Motorhome.

A great place to spend some time. This is a facility where individuals own the sites and rent out the use of their sites. Nice paved sites, not as level as expected; good full hookups; good wifi, because cell service minimal. IMPORTANT - check in is poorly marked - check in is at the bait shop before you arrive at the campground. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Motorhome.

Park is nice, staff/manager not. Maybe they don't like walk in's or it was because of New Year, but we didn't feel welcome. The manager couldn't hardly say "hello". But the main reason for my rating is the price of $ 79, which is $10 higher than posted on their web page. We've been told that there was a price increase before Christmas but they forgot to change it on the web.

Beside that, the campground is very good, offers a boat ramp as well as boat rentals.

Bathrooms are a clean and well maintained. Site have concrete pads with double water connections, 30/50 amp and sewer. You have some privacy as they are build like tropical gardens with surrounding palm trees.

We would not return. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Motorhome.

The park is very quiet and well maintained by the owners. We camped in our 32 ft. motorhome for the month of January. The bike riding is very good. The fishing was good. While we were there we had seven inches of sea water come flowing through our campsite and had the threat of the same thing happening a week later. The owner said it was a rare event but other owners said it happens but usually only in the summer. Because of this flooding possibility we will not return again. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Motorhome.

Each site appears different in size, parking surface and landscaping. Our site was totally paved for parking both 5th wheel and truck, on a corner, across the street from the water, and had lawn. The roads are very narrow and the turns very tight and we were just able to navigate our 34 foot 5th wheel without hitting trees or fences. A $20 cash deposit is required for the gate card. We used our satellite but we were offered a cable box. The resort entrance is up the highway from the registration office which has no place to park when you register. We made the mistake of pulling in next to the office and then had to back up onto the highway. No one escorted us to our site and the map was not easy to follow. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, clean well maintained park, the landscaping is awesome. Each site is owned privately as has been said in many of the reviews so there are no bad sites in the entire resort, we got a waterfront site which is amazing. site is level, all utilities work fine. Interior roads are kind of narrow but not bad. Gotta put down a $20 deposit for your entry card and you have to hook up some type of cable descrambler to watch TV,3 nice pools and a restaurant on site, right outside the front gate is a very tasty Cuban restaurant, I highly recommend it. We would stay here again. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a luxury RV park. All sites are owned, the park leases the sites when the owners are not there. Everything was clean, worked and there are no complaints. We would stay here again. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Travel Trailer.

This is an excellent park. The roads are paved and the sites are done with pavers. The landscaping is beautiful and private between sites. We used an FMCA discount. Some sites are on the water, but not all. The pool is very nice. The resort is not part of the Outdoor Resort system as it is all individually owned. Some sites are for sale at $400,000 with a dock. The Havana Cafe across the street is wonderful for breakfast and lunch. We took a boat ride at the National Park which is very close. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very well maintained, paved roads with paved level pads, big rig access but very tight, 50amp, plenty of space around the RV, but all the RV's have to back in, so no view if you have a motor home, shade trees, stunning view of the water from your own deck, beautiful landscaping, grass, picnic tables, bathrooms and laundry clean and well equipped, three pools, tennis courts, very quiet and peaceful but very unfriendly, WiFi good, there are a few seafood restaurants, but stock up with food before you arrive as grocery stores are few and far between, we were here for two days and that was more than enough time to see and do everything, if you have a boat and like to fish then this is the place for you. We would not stay here again. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Motorhome.

This is a private owned park with condominium owned sites, the sites of which owners can rent out; We rented a site for three nites. The only other RV campground on Chokoloskee island is a crammed together apparent dump with a lot of long stays. The sites at Outdoor resorts are pristine kept, lush grass between paved sites, beautiful palm trees and flowering plants. Crews trim the plants and trees and garbage bags are collected from the sites every morning. The bathrooms are 4+ clean and spotless; and even have a bathtub. The sites are close and an older section sites are a bit closer than the newer section. There is a boat launch ramp. The outer sites are on the water with decks and some boat lifts. Pricy, but very nice. You can bike the town and the causeway out to Everglade City (2 miles) where is a National Park Service Nature Center and boat tour of the Mangrove swamps. Not a 10 because of the closeness of sites and the price. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Motorhome.

A gem in the Everglades! A true A-class RV Resort. Paved roads and concrete slab lots that are landscaped and maintained to a T! Some Bay front lots with boat docks, some lake front with docks, and some interior lots. Golf cart friendly. 3 pools, 3 hot tubs, 3 bath houses. Full time maintenance crew. All lots are individually owned, so there is a condo association to keep everything A+ perfect. Lots of big rigs! We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Fifth Wheel.
