Stayed a week paying the Passport America non-peak rate. The campground sits behind a Days Inn, so watch for the small sign as it is easily missed. Not a big campground, has mostly permanent trailers. Our site was shaded, fairly level, back-in, there seemed to be lots of ants. There is a pool, playground, laundry and hall. The wifi is free and worked well. Restaurants and stores are nearby, beach is within driving distance. The place was pretty quiet as many of the snowbirds had left. The office staff were friendly. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice RV park set well back from FL-60. They have a board that shows available sites for off hours check-in. We came in twice that way and had no trouble picking a 50 amp full hookup site (all sites are back-in). There are pet friendly areas and no-pet sites. WiFi and over-the-air reception both very good. Sites are grass with a concrete patio. The sites across from the office are fairly large, but some sites are real tight when they are next to a permanent unit. Very happy with this place and would come again. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Two Palms, a Tiki Bar, is right in front of the park and their parking lot is the drive that you turn into to get into the Park. Tuesday is burger day and they are very good. They also have other daily specials and happy hour 7 days a week. A nice place within walking distance.

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $25.00

We stayed two weeks, using Passport America for the first one and paying the weekly rate of $285 for the second. The rate shown is the Passport rate, which is effective beginning April 1.

Most of the sites are long term residents in park models. All of the sites are fairly large, but a couple are really big. Originally we were assigned site 112 but were able to move to site 40 after a few days. 112 was unshaded, wet and muddy, and we were looking at the side of our neighbor's park model. Site 40 is the largest in the park, completely shaded and is staggered from the site on the left so much that we had no view of them. Marvelous. If that wasn't enough, it backs up to a large pond that is a perfect dog walk. Sites 28-41 all abut this pond and would be my choice if available. The pool is nice, and is popular with the kids. The laundry and showers are fine. The park is divided into pet and no-pet sections; the formal dog park is pretty small but serviceable.

Clearwater is a city, so traffic noise is pretty constant. It is right on US 60, roughly 30 minutes to St. Petersburg and about the same to Tampa. Costco, Publix, Walmart, Best Buy, Marshalls, etc. are all within a couple of miles of the park. Trader Joe's and Total Wine are several miles south on the way to St. Pete.

The park Wi-Fi is usable, OTA reception is outstanding but cable is not available for short term renters. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Chihuly Museum, Dali Museum, St. Pete bayside for cocktails and dining, and the Vinoy Hotel are really worth seeing.

Power good, WiFi good, staff very nice, nice laundry area, nice pool. We stayed here using Passport America in site 90. Site 91 was full shaded. During the day park is reasonably quiet but at night...by an airport, freeway, and ball field. But didn't keep us awake and got used to it. Clearwater is a large busy city close to a beautiful beach and close to Tampa. Don't miss Sarasota's Ringling Bros. museum,Safety Harbor or Dunedin for a small harbor town tour. We would stay here again. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is such a great park. The staff are amazing, professional and always helpful and happy. Lovely clean well maintained park very close to beaches and shopping nightlife. Sites are large. Pool is beautiful. Fun little tiki bar and restaurant at front of park. Laundry facilities are reasonable and clean. Bathrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects monthly rate of $800.
Spent two months here visiting family. The staff is very friendly. Lots of park models and a large RV storage area. Quiet overall. Just far enough off Gulf to Bay to be convenient but not too loud. I'd recommend campers enter through the gate off Bayside on the east end as the turn off Gulf to Bay has quite a rise with a lot of scraping going on. There is a gate on the Bayside entrance that is closed after 5 PM. Opens with a code.
Folks were friendly and they appeared to have a lot of activities.
Convenient to get on Courtney Cambell causeway to Tampa.
We'll definitely stay here next time we're visiting. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Use Bayside Dr to get to Drew St to Mcmullen Booth south to Gulf to Bay to avoid turning left from the park when it's busy.
Closest grocery is Publix and Walmart Neighborhood at Gulf to Bay and Belcher.

The location is one of the best in Florida. Close to everything and easy access to Tampa. Just stay away from rush hour. The park is excellent. Two laundry and bath houses. Pool and shuffleboard. Everything is well maintained and clean. Sites are nothing special. But work. The location and shared areas are worth the price. Staff are friendly and excellent to work with your needs. Other campers are friendly if you are friendly. They organize events during the week. Stayed here before and will return next year. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

mostly park models with rv sites scattered around. Location is good for exploring the area and convenient to stores and restaraunts. Wifi iffy most of the tme. Pool was very nice. Caution on sites 36-39 - trees and light poles make backing in difficult. and these sites are shaped like a comma so you have to fineese your way in. And acorns dropping on roof all night. But pond behind with herons and egrets and even bald eagles. Friendly place. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Fort Desoto has an off-leash dog beach.

Rate cited reflect a Passport America discount. Nice little park. There are quite a few permanent sites throughout the park. All appeared neat and well kept. There also seemed to be numerous camping sites. Employees were friendly and courteous. All camping sites appeared to be grass and were fairly level. The pool, laundry room and bath house were all clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the park, and its location, so much that we booked another trip there next month. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This was our favorite private park in Florida. Even on grass, the site was level and staff helped us back in. Sites are very nice size, with well-kept grassy areas. You could tell areas where they're replanting grass where the edges might be sparse. A regular resident told us they have been filling in low spots, and we didn't see mud. I wasn't at all offended by the stored campers. In fact, it was fun to see where they were from, and the storage area was tidy. It's obvious the owners take great pride in how they maintain their park. We enjoyed walks around the park, and could get to local attractions quite easily. I feel very safe here, and I'm looking forward to a park wide dinner tomorrow night, as well as free coffee and donuts in the morning. This is a gem. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

One of the largest Skechers stores is just down the street.

Small older Florida park. Mostly park models and long term RV. Sites are all grass and mud; lots of mud. Site areas are very rutted, uneven, and not level. Small off leash dog park, also lots of mud. Large RV storage area is in center of the park, while gives the whole park a dirty and unkempt look.

Has cable, WiFi, Pool area and a play area ( also in the mud). We would not stay here again. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

A bit dog eared, but not unsightly. Staff pleasant and accommodating - sites on grass/gravel and since it rained - did not use jacks - a bit out of level, but ok. Convenient to everything - Exit out back gate (uses code) saves cuss words learned/used if left turn from entrance needed during departure. Study the roads out back gate and it's simple and pleasant - except when classes at nearby HS getting out or !!! Will stay here again. Passport ends on 12/31 for season. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of good restaurants and shopping west of CG on same road.

We had reservations for 4 days and called ahead because we were coming in early. They were so accommodating and able to get us in early that we decided to stay another night. The bathrooms, showers and laundry rooms were very clean. Front desk staff was so friendly and helpful that we would highly recommend this place. Close to many stores and about 10 minutes to the beach. Plus the spots were a little tight but we got it in. We have a 42' 5th wheel toyhauler so the spots were just large enough. It was such a nice place with friendly people staying in the park that we would highly recommend this rv resort. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 1 week at weekly rate of $275. Very clean bathroom, but one shower stall in the ladies room was very slow in draining (3 inches of water standing after a shower); later fixed. They have terrible wi-fi; too many campers using it. We were in the Overflow campsite 2 to be near the bath-house. Lots of permanent campers here. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

One good thing to know -- in nearby Port Richey, we rented a car for only $150/week from Cheep Rental Car.

We camped here at a half price rate of $19.50 with our passport america, since it was still out of season. The pool, bathrooms, showers, and community areas were all in very good condition (our only problem was that the two times my husband used the bathroom, the motion sensor light turned the lights out after 6 minutes, leaving him in the pitch dark to finish up and try to find the exit.) I've marked the park low because of the problems at the RV sites themselves: our site was supposed to have cable, but they had already stopped cable service because the snowbirds would be coming in a couple of weeks and would be paying for their own installations; our site was a combination of grass and mud, no trees or any other shrubs, and our patio (and the others we observed) were only six feet wide and so old, cracked and driven over that they didn't offer any relief from the mud and dirt. This park would be suitable for a stay of one or two days, but we wouldn't deal with any longer than that. And the traffic on SR 60 (Gulf to Bay) leading to Clearwater Beach is horrendous. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Motorhome.
