We are Thousand Trails members so there is no cost to us for staying other than the yearly dues. They have fast check in which is super. They call you the day before your arrival for confirmation you are coming. You may not arrive before noon. Then you are directed to a holding area and you tell a person in a golf cart what your wishes are. They then lead you to a spot, Our Verizon wifi worked really well and Dish satellite was super in I section. There are tons of activities for everyone. Twice weekly fresh produce is sold in the park. The staff are knowledgeable and so friendly. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Fifth Wheel.

Besides the theme parks there are many day trips like Silver Springs State Park with glass bottom boat rides; Apopka Wildlife Drive; Wekki Wachee Mermaids; Crystal River for manatee viewing.

We loved this place. We have stayed here a few times. Laundry was expensive. $3 for wash and $3 to dry! We did find a great laundry nearby that was clean and half the price. The showers are ok here, nothing to special but not gross. Thankfully when we stayed we get spots close to the bathhouse and laundry.

You want to get here early because there is a rush at check in. They drive you to the available spots but you can request an area and they will see what they have available. This place is always packed with kids. We were told to go to the B field. There was a nice pool, mini golf, giant chess and checkers sets to play with. You have to pay for Wi-Fi.

You can see the fireworks from Disney at night. There was a nature trail. There are signs up not to swim in the bodies of water that are around because of alligators. Scary! This park is confusing to navigate. There are one way streets and people will let you know if you are going the wrong way. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Travel Trailer.

This was the first we were able to use membership nights because most campgrounds are always full. They're main objective is to sell memberships and they wouldn't let us go to our site until we sat through the presentation. We couldn't get free wifi in the clubhouse. All of the activities on the calendar that we wanted to attend were canceled. The sites are very crowded and showers dirty. There is nothing to do in Clermont unless you are going to theme parks. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Got a very nice and friendly welcome at the security gate. Provided info and called for an escort however none were available. I could just go in and pick any open site. Has a small gym with game tables, nothing elaborate but functional. Very nice pool in fact two. Also a Jacuzzi though the water wasn't very hot just warm. Main meeting building is closed while they repair from Irma. Campers were very friendly. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Park was mostly recovered from Irma. Clubhouse still closed due to damage from storm. Area got 30 inches of rain in Oct. This is a beautiful park 1 mile in from Hwy 27 which means no traffic noise in most areas of the park. Spacious sites, take time to pick out 1 as the park has great variety of areas. Loop D is wooded...very nice. Pads are rough, old, broken up. Nice pools, paved roads (great for biking), setene clean lake, dogpark, walk or bike to Publix. Friendly staff. Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Post Office 2 miles. Publix 1 mile. Lots of good restaurants in area. Biking and walking are good, crosswalks and sidewalks everywhere. 27 is a major highway, be safe. Very few bugs in Oct. Highs 80's. Lows upper 50's. Park is a snowbird's paradise.

We camped here for almost a month in our 5th wheel during off season. The campground was comfortable. We used one of the two very nice pools. Grounds are kept well. None of the roads had pot holes, which makes me wonder if this is really a Thousand Trails property ;) Many of the sites are paved. Some have trees, but not a lot of shade is offered. Went down to the lake on the property to watch fireworks from Disney - take bug spray. Some of the staff was friendlier than others, but no complaints. Laundry facilities were terrible. They contract with a company whose machines take tokens instead of coins or credit cards. It costs $3 to wash and $3 to dry, that's $6 per load. We had to spray our 5th wheel for ants from day one. We would stay here again since we have a TT membership but if we didn't have a membership, we'd look to see what other campgrounds in the area have to offer. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Fifth Wheel.

This Thousand Trails property is very large & clean. Our site was old blacktop and level enough. Other sites we observed were dirt, sand and in some cases broken pavement. Some sites had newer concrete but, I believe they are seasonal private sites. Pools (2), clubhouse, store are very large, clean and well maintained/stocked. The roads are very easy to navigate & angled so entry/exit is easy. There is a nature trail, lake & very nice cabins and an on site restaurant/snack bar. Since we arrived after the "peak season" it was quite quiet and organised activities were minimal during our 2 week stay. We would stay again. This is a membership park that is also open to the public. We pay $0 a night, not sure what the public rate would be. Large park with a mix of 30 and 50 amp sites, along with pull thrus and back ins. Water and sewer hookups at the sites. Most sites are gravel and/or gravel & dirt. Area is in a drought so the 'grass' is very dry and not a lot of green, which makes it quite dusty. We stayed twice, once in February and again in April. Check in process was different each time, I would recommend calling ahead of time to find out where to go on arrival, it will definitely make a difference! On both of our visits the water was shut off several times with no warning at all, so you want to be sure and fill your fresh water tanks on arrival. Laundry facility is clean but pricey and you have to purchase tokens at the machine on site, which only takes paper money. We will stay here again because it is no cost for us, not sure I would stay at the public rate however! We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shopping and dining options are many just outside the park. Be advised that the turn into the park has a large sign that is difficult to see because of trees. We had to turn around at the Publix - there was ample room around the back side of the business - on our first arrival. Also, when leaving the park you can only turn right, which will have you making a U-turn at the light!

Although this is a membership campground, there are many rules that make it is impossible to take full advantage of the membership. The activities scheduled are cancelled, with no advance notice. The check in process changes every visit. Now instead of checking in and choosing an available site, people are directed to all arrive at noon, line up at the gate in their rigs, and parade around with their rigs following a golf cart to find a site. The staging area is now the small lot in front of the recreation room. We were told that we could not even wait on the property until the noon check in. Prepare to be hassled. It is a shame. No WiFi at the recreation center, although there is supposed to be. No Wifi for purchase in some areas of the campground. Take a tank of water, water is shut off for repairs often. We booked a 3 month seasonal site so we didn't have to move around the Orlando area for the winter. We were told during check in that we were supposed to be assigned a seasonal site when we booked the seasonal but we weren't. Our temporary site had cow manure in the driveway that the park said they weren't responsible for cleaning. One month into our three month stay we were ambushed by a ranger and park manager that we were on the wrong site and would be charged more if we decided to stay on the site we were assigned during check in. No apologies were given about this situation. To me this shows poor office communication and a complete lack of customer service. If it weren't for the location, families at the park, and amenities I would not come back. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Fifth Wheel.

This camp is large: so you get the options of sunny sites, shady sites, or woodsy sites. However, they are all very clean and pleasant. During our stay, we moved from a sunny site to a woodsy one near a lake and dog park. The office people, the ground keepers and the neighbors were very friendly. Though the company had a time -share like marketing meeting for membership sales, they pedaled softly, and were not pushy at all. We gathered precious info in that session.

I'm also impressed by the fact that Thousand Trails is willing to share our feed back survey with TripAdvisors. This is a good indication that they take our opinions seriously. And intend rectify any discrepancies. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Travel Trailer.

The park needs extensive renovation. Each site needs improvement. Some site areas were under construction. Wifi is not free and spotty. No cable tv. If improvements are made this could be a 5 star resort.

Spruce the place up. You need to repair roads and level the sites. Some road sign markers need fixed. Repaint the arrows. Otherwise the location is the greatest value. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Fifth Wheel.

Like many Thousand Trails parks, this one is old and has lots of permanent residents. Most of the permanents are in their own section, in trailers or tiny mobile homes.

They are making an effort to upgrade the electricity and plumbing in the park, which is good. If all goes well, that work will be done before the snowbirds arrive later this year. Hopefully Thousand Trails won't do what they've done in many other parks where they charge people an "amenity fee" to use the upgraded sites.

There is no cable TV but we were able to get quite a few over-the-air channels. There is also no WiFi except for a fee. We paid $30 for the 3 weeks we were there. It worked fairly well except during the morning and evening "rush hours" when it pretty well shut down. Verizon LTE worked well all the time.

The sites are sand, or maybe dirt and sand. We tracked sand into our trailer constantly. It was like being at the beach without the benefit of the water.

Most of the sites are exposed. Ours had some trees for shade which was very welcome in the summer heat. Sites vary in length a lot. Ours was long enough for our 28' fifth wheel, truck, and a car.

There is a lake you can fish in. My husband hooked an alligator so be careful! We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Fifth Wheel.

Not really sure what to say about this park other than it looked real tired! It was one of those places that back in its day, it was a really nice park. Case in point, some sites had concrete pads, but ours was busted up concrete covered in gravel. The store looks like it probably was nice at one time, but it was stocked with minimal items and we couldn't find the help in there when we went. Bathrooms were dated, but were clean. The resort was landscaped nicely. Our patio table wobbled pretty bad and we decided it was not safe to sit on. For what the website looked like and what the park looked like, it was a tale of two cities. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Stayed here several times this past winter and spring. Park is very well kept with large sites and wide paved roads. Several restroom and laundry facilities throughout the park. They are presently in the process of updating and upgrading the electrical service which will increase the amount of 50 amp hookups. Many activities year around in the park and only a few minutes from Disney and other attractions yet still outside of the busyness of the area. Convenient location to Walmart, groceries and restaurants. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.
