This is just a beautiful park in a wonderful location. Do bring your bikes - it is so easy to tour around. There is major shopping east on Cortez and the gulf is only 10 minutes from the park. We rode our bikes daily over the bridge to catch the sunset and tour the back neighborhoods. It can be very hot in the summer as there just isn't a lot of shade. We were praying for a MH to park next to us and provide some shade. ;-) We decided to get an awning shade before we come here next time. I would consider the park bathrooms to be the worst feature - not enough stalls and poorly laid out. Weekend days bring lots of beach traffic getting out again in your MH may be challenging later on a weekend day - most we saw left early. I detected no sulphur smell but we did contend with a lot of no see ums which left us bitten up. THat was surprising as it was very breezy. We camped at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Maritime Museum was fascinating look at the area in earlier times. We loved eating gulf side at the restaurant with all the tiki huts near the bridge intersection. What a view!
Historic bridge street was a lovely stroll and we loved the very clean pier and watching the bridge go up and down and all the boats.

Lovely RV park and so close to the Gulf! It's an easy bike ride (or casual walk) over the short bridge to Anna Maria Island. Lots of nearby restaurants on the intercoastal as well as the island. We saw dolphins in the water while crossing the bridge! RV spaces are a bit too close to each other and there is considerable noise from the road if your site is anywhere near. Bathrooms were clean but there was never any hand soap in the ladies restroom sink. Shower pressure was practically nonexistent in the ladies. My husband said the men's worked just fine though. The landscaping was nicely maintained with many beautiful flowers, trees, and shrubs. The pond with the fountain was nice too, having a couple varieties of water fowl visiting. Campsite amenities were fine, full hook-ups in good condition with a picnic table. The site was concrete with brick pavers for the RV pad which was nice; not all of the sites had that. A great price (with the Passport America discount) for a nice place! We camped at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We had dinner at the Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe. It was very good, with good service and it was right on the beach so we watched the sunset. Had drinks another night facing the intercoastal at the Bridge Tender Inn bar. Service was great. Loved the area and you will too.

Peak season rate with no discount, $66/day. We were in site 17, near the road, level, nice pavers, pleasant surrounding, picnic table but no grill. Sites are close together but everyone was very friendly and the place was very neat. The hookups are good and we didn't have any issues with sulfur-smelling water. The wifi is sometimes good, sometimes not. Generally, though, not bad at all. Laundry facilities were very good. Dumpsters were way in the back, but not really that far. I liked that it was relatively small park. A friendly white heron sometimes comes by for a handout! One evening we had torrential rains, but it all drained off quite well overall, so we were happy about that.

It's a very good location, within walking distance of a couple of restaurants (we ate at Seafood Shack; good food), ice cream parlor (awesome!), and a couple of tiny stores. Being the closest RV park to Anna Maria, we rode our bikes on to the island which was quite fun and, with a bike lane for most of the way, not too scary. Lots of restaurants, shops, beaches, etc. on the island... easy to make a full day of just looking around. Very, very nice beaches.

I counted off a bit because of the road noise (if you're at the front of the park); it's bearable but bothersome. We camped at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Less than a 5 minute car drive to the first public beach on Anna Maria Island, 15 minutes by bike. (We biked almost 15 miles, to the north end of the island and back.) Traffic getting to the RV park (through Bradenton) was very heavy, and on weekends it's semi-heavy everywhere. Oddly, the beaches weren't super-crowded, even on the weekend. There is a maritime museum within walking distance of the park, but it's only open Tues-Sat, 9a-4p.

Note that the P.A. rate that I paid was for off-season. There are a lot of positives for this park. 1. It's location. You can walk to local restaurants and to Anna Maria Island. 2. It's management. The new manager is very friendly and helpful. 3. It's sites. They are large, wide, paved and level (the first two rows of sites nearest to the highway are an exception - being gravel and close together). 4. It's internal access roads. Also wide and paved. Two RV can easily pass one another on each roadway. There are a few negatives. The first is the restrooms. Yes, they're clean and modern, but are only "token". For example, the mens' restroom had only one toilet and two showers. They are also a long walk from the sites located at the back of the park. The second negative is the water. While each site has two spigots and good water pressure, there is an undeniable smell of Sulphur. It is so strong that you can smell it whenever water is running through a faucet or even on your body after taking a shower. I wanted to ask the manager about the cause of this, but she was not available on the two or three times that I tried to see and/or phone her. We camped at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stay at this location annually with 4-6 families. The staff is always friendly but a challenge to reach during peak seasons.

Their boat ramp is nice and well maintained. Their boat slips are limited but also maintained. Location is convenient to the beaches and coastal islands.

Sites are well spaced in the back but no shade. Sites in the front are very close.

We will continue to stay here for our annual event. We camped at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We paid half price with our Passport America membership for each night of camping. This is the fourth time we have stayed at this park. We always find it to be kept very clean, with beautiful landscaping and excellent bathhouse facilities. The husband and wife on-site managers are friendly and helpful. The office manager is very courteous and helpful, too. The sites are roomy and in good shape. The park is just across the bridge from the beach. All around, a nice, quiet place to rest and relax. We just spent two weeks at this RV Resort. Great location and very nice level sites. Wi-Fi worked great at our location. Everyone there was very friendly and we will return. During the summer lots of inland Florida campers that leave there RV and boats there to come for the weekend. This makes it very quiet during the week and just slightly noisy on the weekend. Great place and the management was very helpful. We camped at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This was a nice campground. The site we stayed in had a nice brick pad for the camper. The site was level and maintained. The office was beautiful and gave a really good impression. The bathhouse was very clean. The roads were a little tight and it was harder to get into the site. There appears that there are a lot of permanent campers there but they kept their sites orderly and clean. Plus, most of the campers had very nice rigs. I would definitely stay here again. Price reflects Passport America. We camped at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Great, little park near Anna Marie Island. The nightly rate was quoted using PPA & free night we got from the Tampa RV show. The pool was small - especially when kids were in it. The no see ums were terrible - not the parks fault. We were there over Memorial weekend, and the trash was overflowing and stinking. Other than that, restrooms were good, location was excellent. Access was good, sites were large and paved/bricked. We would stay there again. We camped at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park. There are blacktop sites for your RV with a brick patio. The sites are quite large which make backing in with a fifth wheel very easy. Wi-fi through the park is faster than our own hotspot--something that you rarely find. We had a 24 hour Florida storm and having blacktop and brick as your site made it wonderful to keep mud off our steps and kitchen floor. There were puddles in the park, but the drainage was excellent, so the standing water did not last long. When I stated that the price was higher than I wanted to spend, they asked if we had Passport America or Good Sams, both of which we had. So we got a great site for 1/2 price. Will definitely return here. We camped at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice RV park located close to the beaches. We used this as our home base to explore the area and it was convenient and nice to come back to each night. The sites are nice and level and they have a pond in the middle of the park. Management was very nice checking in and WiFi worked well. Sites are paved with brick paver patio areas. They have a small pool but we did not use it. Seems to be a mix of short and long term campers. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
