Delightful little park. There are multiple touches of care and class by the delightful owners. Only issue is the proximity of I10 and road noise. The wifi is good at 2 mb down. Excellent for an overnight stay!! We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Motorhome.

I was wowed by this campground at first sight! We were greeted by the owners as soon as we pulled up and was escorted to our site. We were in site #7 which is a large packed gravel back in site with a picnic table, fire ring (with firewood) 50 amp service, sewer, and wifi. It is located just off I-10 (across the road from a Loves Truck Stop). There was no road noise from our site, but some of the pull through sites probably had to deal with some. We were looking for a campground to escape Hurricane Nate for a few days, and couldn't have came across a better option than this one. It is not a large campground, but it is the most unique one I have ever experienced. From the friendly owners, to the neat little touches scattered throughout the park, to the nice quiet welcoming atmosphere, I will return here whenever I'm in this area for sure! Be aware there is no bathhouse, swimming pool, laundry, etc. here. Your rig must be self contained. The owners have been working on this campground for the past year and a half, and I can't wait to see what they do to it in the future! We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a good campground for an overnight stop on I-10. We moved here from the Gulf coast to avoid Hurricane Nate, as did many other big rigs. The roads are a little narrow and gravel, but smooth and navigable for a big rig. The sites are close together with grassy areas and a picnic table, and the utilities were convenient. The owner led us to our site and helped us position on the site, which was long enough for our 44' rig and our tow car. Our site had good open sky for satellite and backed up to I-10, but the road noise did not bother us. The campground has few amenities right now, but the trash can on each site is handy and the wifi was excellent. We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a no-frills solid park. As others have stated, what makes this place so great is location and the hosts. They are probably the most personable folks we've encountered in our trips! Lots of grass and two dog parks for dogs (one for big pups and the other for smaller pups). Despite having a small dog we opted for the big dog park since our dog would've been able to easily hop the fence in the small dog park. Go here for an overnight stop, as many seem to do, and get your good night's rest. We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Motorhome.

This was an overnight stay and was a pleasant surprise. The couple who own and operate this nice little park go above and beyond to provide service and a great experience. Sites are neat, grass cut and trimmed and super easy access. Their park has been open a year and a half and they are not finished putting in the details that will continue to make it a great place to stay. It is "very Big Rig Friendly", easy access off of IH 10, plenty of space in your spot, long spaces (we were 65' with coach and tow) new Pedestals and as an extra touch, place an astro-turf mat in front of your door. Their is a nice natural pond where you can sit and gaze in the pine trees or get your fishing gear out, games for kids and adults scattered in an activity area and closed-in dog areas. The overnight spaces are in the wide open and close to the Interstate, and while you could hear some traffic, once your AC is on it is a non issue. Should you want to walk off a days travels, they have cleared and cut a series of walking paths through the pine trees and pond around the park. Overall a terrific experience. They take Passport America without restrictions. They do not have bath facilities, but we don't use them. They do have Wi-Fi but no Cable connections at this time but you can get 4 channels via antenna. Satellite works great. Owners are passionate and engaging. We would stay there any time! I'm not inclined to give any campground a 10 but if the ratings went up to 15 then I would have given this one a 15. No, it's not a fancy campground. The sites are long level and packed gravel and easy to get in and out. It's just off of I-10 and is a good overnight stop but there is some road noise. The best part of this campground are the owners. These are the friendliest, hardest working most helpful people I may have ever met. They have only owned this campground for a couple of years but literally every day they are working to make improvements. These are the kind of people that we need to be running campgrounds and we will certainly return and stay with them. We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Motorhome.

Perhaps the nicest and most courteous campground owners we have ever encountered. This is a new campground with excellent level pull through sites. The campground is spotless and full of nice touches - wood in fire pits, entry rugs for each traveler, hand made picnic table and chairs and terrific pet facilities. Excellent wifi. There are no restrooms or showers yet but give them time and we're sure they will be built. There was some noise from Hwy 10 but not too bad. This is a great stopover park and we will stay here again in our Motorhome. We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Motorhome.

Some of the sites are in the trees (and mosquitoes), some are in the sun. Our site was strategically selected based on the afternoon shade from the trees since it was in the upper 90's but away from the mosquito prone areas. This park is a work in progress but the owners are very eager to please. There were four other rigs here during our stay so the wifi was very responsive due to the lack of congestion. The Verizon tower is less than 1000 feet away so cellphone coverage was not an issue. The over the air TV was clear. The interior roads are somewhat narrow and a combination of dirt and gravel. Our site (#24) is long and level and is one of the nicer sites because of the afternoon shade mentioned above. The sites are dirt and grass with a table and new utilities. The sewer connection was a located a bit far forward for our rig but we have two hoses to make the reach we needed. Only downsides as far as we are concerned are the lack of a laundry room and the closeness to a busy Interstate highway. Truck traffic at night would be a problem for light sleepers. We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a new location under development by a lovely couple who couldn't have been nicer. We were led to our site and offered help in hooking up. The park is rustic and charming. Unfortunately, there is NO restroom or shower of any kind. We didn't find this out until we asked, and were too tired to drive further. The noise from I-10 was also a nuisance. Because of this, we will not return. We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Motorhome.

Wonderful quiet park. If you like to fish or have horses this is the place to stop. Very new park will be amazing when finished. Both back-in and pull thru sites, shade and open and can take the largest RV's on the road. We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Can only say more of what had already been said. Friendly owners, very helpful making sure everything was perfect for us. This is a fairly new park, sites are long and level (with a 43' Motor Home a MUST!), new wood table and chairs at each site, easy on and off with a Love's nearby. Blackberries are still on the bushes. TV tower nearby so over the air channels were bright and clear. Fastest Wi-Fi we have seen at a campground. We selected an open upper site as we were setting up a new satellite receiver and satellite reception was a snap. The lower level sites have more tree coverage which would not be a problem with all the local channels available. We were not bothered by any noise which may have come from the interstate as our AC was running. This is a great stop for big rigs! We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Motorhome.

We particularly liked that this campground was in close proximity to the Love's Truck Stop, as this was a fast overnight stop for us. The owners are very nice and helpful, evening helping us choose a site and back in. They also set a campfire for us, but we didn't use it . We camped on the wooded side, as the pull-throughs were very open and close to the highway. I would stay here again for a quick stop. Our second stay. Owners live on site and are very friendly. Made sure we knew about the blackberries that were ready to pick. They continue to improve the property. This is a good place for a night or two. The primary downside is the pull through sites are close to the interstate. The dog parks were a plus.
