5 Parks near Crystal River, Florida
Sep 2015 - $25.00
Staff is friendly, park is clean and quiet. l would come back.
The best find is the seafood restaurant in the mall (Sellers). - Lindas Old Man
Aug 2015 - $55.00
Arrived here to meet the Asst. Manager. We were told our site number. Went to site it had standing water in it. When we asked her if we could get a different one we were told we could get the "Upgraded one" I guess that means the dry one? Of course it was $10 more. She seems to dislike the campers who stay here. Campgrounds are about the people you meet there and the campers here felt that management was at war with them. Pool was out the whole weekend we were there. Hot tub also was out. The parks only redeeming feature is a boat ramp with access to river.
There was a young lady with much face hardware we heard call a camper an A-hle.
Many of the sites are broken concrete and full of needles and grass. The place hasn't seen a rake in a while.
Samantha was sweet to us and listened to us harp. She seemed powerless due to management.
Bathrooms were spotless!
Power was good
WiFi ok but pay for use. - Fishslayer
Jul 2015 - $60.00
Assistant manager maybe? was very rude to my wife. They charge extra to be on a green soupy garbage filled mess (Lake ??). Mud hole at dumpsters be careful you could get stuck. Mold in dirty pool all over sides and bottom. Prices that vary per person. Many sites turn to small ponds when it rains.
Crumbling infrastructure of an old park electric and water outages. Road crumbling many large potholes. Small lots that can't fit camper boat and truck and very little overflow parking.
Pros were clean Bathrooms Who ever cleans these works like a champ! Access to river and boat ramp. Annual campers that help you back into skinny lots and show you dark areas that flood. - Scallops
Apr 2015 - $35.00
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Park has many seasonal and full-time residents. Most resident sites were well kept. We were led to our site and had assistance in parking as well as explanation of utilities. Site rental was full hookup 50 amp including cable TV and free WiFi on grass. We were unable to get free WiFi to work. Our site was open, so we could receive sat TV. Verizon signal was 4 bars LTE. Interior roads are paved. - eaglessoc
Oct 2014 - $28.00
This campground is a bit off the beaten track. It's on the north side of Crystal River so it takes 15 minutes to get to most of the things in Crystal River, and about 25 minutes to Homosassa Springs. It is a quiet campground with very friendly residents. Everyone we met were very kind and always sprung up a conversation. A fair number are permanent residents and there are also a large number of trailer homes but they look cared for. The campground felt very safe and rather homey. Lake Rousseau offers free wifi through tengo, you have to get a coupon for each device. We didn't use their wifi and simply used our hotspot. The signal for AT&T is pretty weak in that area, and Verizon LTE was weak but acceptable. We used our booster for better signal. The sites are some gravel, sand, and grass. Mostly level with the utilities behind the coach. There are a lot of old trees so many of the sites are fairly shaded. Our site (33) is nice and large, but the one right next to us had almost no camping area. The campground is situated right on Lake Rousseau with a boat launch area. The lake is not dog-friendly (alligators are present) but very pretty to look at. It also had a couple of dog park areas you could use. They have a swimming pool but we didn't use it. This is a good place if you're looking for quiet and perhaps some fishing. It's not a resort and there are not a lot of activities to do. The campground is quiet, pretty, and well-tended but a bit further away from town. We'd stay there again. - LifeRebooted
Mar 2014 - $30.00
It was a nice campground in a natural setting. Nothing fancy, clean and well kept. A good number of snowbirds/seasonal campers. Electric was reliable. We would stay here again. - SteveandAnn
Feb 2014 - $11.00
Our nightly rate was based on a seven month stay. This is a wonderful campground about 8 miles north of Crystal River. Extremely well kept up. The laundry room is large enough and kept very clean and the cost is very reasonable. The sites are individually owned, so you rent from the owner, not the management. But, every interaction we had with the main office was pleasant and helpful. Most sites have a concrete pad and all have a concrete patio and picnic table. There are many activities available throughout the winter. Some of the people come here every year and some, like us, are just here for one time, but all are very friendly and helpful. There is a canal that goes out to the gulf coast within walking distance and a paved path along it for walking or biking. The sites are well kept up and not too close together. We're in a 40 foot RV and had room for our rig, truck, and a car at our site. We would definitely use this campground again if we wanted to be in this location. - RVKevi
Mar 2012 - $38.00
Very, very friendly people who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Many of the campers are seasonal renters who return year after year. All of the sites are large enough to accommodate most any size rig. The Crystal River area provides lots of outside activities without the crowds of the more built up areas of Florida. - User2565
Jan 2011 - $35.00
Nice well maintained park, with paved roads and sites. People spoke, and waved as they drove or walked by. No cable, but satellite is good. Not a place for kids though, as it is mainly for adults. Price is right. Activities geared to adults, but much to do. - olgjaycee
Jan 2015 - $20.00
They list themselves as an RV campground but they are better then most 'resorts' we've stayed at. The entire campground is spotless. Pool is large and nice chairs and tables, 2 very nice rec areas, in winter they have a lot of activities, functioning and clean laundry area and the restroom/showers are large and immaculate. And no' no seeums'. Convenient to a lot of shopping and resturants. We will stay here again. Rate reflects monthly rate + electric. - horsefolk
Apr 2014 - $20.00
Recently bought a travel trailer and recd complimentary camping here. Enjoyed it immensely while getting acquainted with our rig. The park has lovely trees and a great staff. The WiFi and cable made it just like home. We especially enjoyed having room to play toss and romp with our big dog! - RKMoss
Mar 2014 - $17.00
This is a nice, clean park, with a beautiful pool, spotless restrooms, and friendly staff. There were planned activities with the other friendly campers. The park crowd was definitely older, and there are no kids activities or playground facilities, but there is a nice rail trail, for biking, about 10 miles away. There is also a reasonably priced RV supply store across the street - same owners. The road noise, particularly the "biker" bar down the road was annoying. Also, our campsite was really tiny, a mix of grass, leaves and sand, making it messy. Other campsites seemed bigger, and nicer, but the park was full. Although there was a lot of "regulars" at the park, most very nice folks, it was a little too quiet for us. - Winniecruzer
Aug 2015 - $35.00
Large lots. Wooded hilly campground. Lots have no pads but well maintained grassy areas. 50 amp only power at our site. Close enough to Fort Island Trail boat ramps for scalloping. Pool was clean and well maintained we moved here from Crystal Isles and are very happy we did so. WiFi a bit slow and weak. - Fishslayer
Aug 2015 - $38.00
There is plenty of room in this campground it's very big. The sites are large, grassy, wooded, without patios and somewhat secluded. All sites have 50 amp service ONLY. So bring a 50/30 amp adapter or be prepared to pay $25 for one of theirs. The pool and hot tub are nice and well maintained. There are only 2 bath houses on the property and can be a long hike from most of the sites. - bamawig
Jul 2015 - $45.00
Rock Crusher is a great park, we have stayed her multiple times and have always had a great experience. The sites are spacious, slightly wooded and always clean. - Senora Frog
