Mail in and out is acceptable as well as packages. There is an activity director here for the kids and big kids too! Most sites have boats. This is a big fishing area. Some sites have cement parking and picnic area some just the picnic area. There is a small exercise room that is very clean with a few free weights. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Homosassa has a great park to see manatees and other animals that have been rescued from injury. You can take a boat ride to the park as well. Clawdaddy is an excellent restaurant. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. Granny's restaurant is also a great place to eat. South on Rt 19 there is a flea market on Friday - Sunday. Walmart is up the road from there.

Overall Rating:

This has the makings of a great campground. But it's not. It's a mess really. Everyone has boats, golf carts and big trucks. So while the sites are decent size, there are all these vehicles, boats, and boat trailers stuffed in every single nook and cranny in the place. The roads are thin and lined with trees and ponds. So when someone leaves their big pickup truck sticking a foot or so into the road, you can't get by towing your trailer. It's a disaster. Boats and boat trailers sticking out everywhere. The roads are all one way, going one way, so it appears that you can't get anywhere without going the wrong way down a one way street. It's very hard to get in and out with just the pickup truck. Getting around towing is very difficult. And the whole thing floods. We came after a couple of days of rain, and our entire site was flooded out. We couldn't even get to our fire ring. We had to wade through water to get to the power and water/sewer hookups. At least we had a patio, so there was a little usable dry space on the site. The water was right up to the patio. There were frogs and hundreds of tadpoles in our little swamp. Our site actually appeared to be one of the better ones. The sewer hookup is so far in front of the rest of the hookups that I had to go to Walmart a buy a second 10' extension even though I have a full size hose and an extension already. Now the good. It's really a nice place. The location is fabulous. 4 miles from a decent gulf beach. Near all the crystal river attractions. Very nice pool. It appears they try to keep, the place looking good. They staff is very nice and friendly. They have a cool little ice cream shack. If you're a boater, they have a large number of water front sites with boat docks. So it has the making of a great place. But right now it's a real mess. I wouldn't come back here. I'm giving it a 5 out of 10 rating because of the potential and the location. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This RV park is BUSY? This is a huge park with a boat launch Most visitors had boats and golf carts, the sites are big enough for your camper boat and truck, we had enough room to park our Class A sideways and face our porch towards the lake, Or site was grass and was pretty dry the first day until it rained, After the rain the site was a puddled mess for the remaining 2 days. I expected a better site for $60 We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Motorhome.

One of the best places we've stayed at this year. Nice pool, easy access to fishing, good size space. The only real issue was the "no-seeums" but its Florida after all! We will definitely be back soon. Bring your kayak, power boat, or canoe. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Head over to The Crab Plant in Crystal River for an amazing seafood plate. This place is super casual and only accepts cash! An attached fresh seafood market is full of the local fresh catch.

Worst camping experience in many years. Had previously driven there and reserved a site only to find they overbooked when we got there. They put us in an area where there was water standing. No staff onsite after 5:30. Park very noisy with no sense of control by owners. Not much in the way of overall maintenance going on in the park except for clubhouse being closed for renovation. Not sufficient lighting in the park for the amount of golf cart activity. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Didn't use any of the amenities, was there mainly for boating. Which was very nice. Grounds was fairly well kept. Office employees were professional, and very knowledgeable. BUT! It doesn't change the fact that the speed limit is 15 mph. And people drive a lot faster than that, with a boat. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nicely refine office, after that all downhill. No backboard on court. Pool heater broken. No Wi-Fi working. Jacuzzi a muddy hole in ground. Sites are either broken concrete or dusty then muddy when it rains. Bathrooms have been out for months and 2 porta potties rarely clean. The manager will raise her voice to customers who bring complaints or concerns. Avoid this mess go a bit north or south, there's better places.

Avoid this one. Used to be nice now it's pretty on the outside and ugly inside. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Park is in good location and staff was nice, but this past September they had a flood and park was covered 3 ft of seawater. Price was a little steep and there was not many amenities...on top there was $3.00 charge for WiFi...pool was fine and brand new electric service. We ordered a premium site at $47 in hopes that it would accommodate our big rig. Apparently Encore campgrounds add a "fee" beyond the campground fee that, with taxes, brought the price to $55. So they advertise one price and by the time you get to checkout you will see that there is a site fee and a resort fee.

The roads were narrow but paved. There was a large tree limb over about a third of the road in one place that long term occupants told me has caused damage to several RVs. Our site was long enough but at 90 degrees to the narrow road and if the sites across the the street hadn't had the RV set way back and if they hadn't moved their trucks we would have never gotten into the site. As it was it took a lot of maneuvering over about 40 minutes to get in. It had rained the night before and many, if not most, of the sites around us were surrounded by water. I would not recommend this campground for big rigs and would suggest that at the prices they charge there would be many better choices for less or the same amount of money. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

It rained while we were here and our space flooded. Lot was rutted so badly we could hardly get out of the coach without falling. The only way that we found our spot was a fellow camper led us to it. Ask for a guide to take you to your site. Roads are narrow and full of potholes. Staff were friendly enough. We would stay again if overnighting, but not for extended stay. Arrived here to meet the Asst. Manager. We were told our site number. Went to site; it had standing water in it. When we asked her if we could get a different one we were told we could get the "Upgraded one" I guess that means the dry one? Of course it was $10 more. She seems to dislike the campers who stay here. Campgrounds are about the people you meet there and the campers here felt that management was at war with them. Pool was out the whole weekend we were there. Hot tub also was out. The parks only redeeming feature is a boat ramp with access to river.

Many of the sites are broken concrete and full of needles and grass. The place hasn't seen a rake in a while.

Staff was sweet to us and listened to us harp. She seemed powerless due to management.

Bathrooms were spotless! Power was good. WiFi ok, but pay for use. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Assistant manager maybe? was very rude to my wife. They charge extra to be on a green soupy garbage filled mess (Lake ??). Mud hole at dumpsters be careful you could get stuck. Mold in dirty pool all over sides and bottom. Prices that vary per person. Many sites turn to small ponds when it rains.

Crumbling infrastructure of an old park electric and water outages. Road crumbling many large potholes. Small lots that can't fit camper boat and truck and very little overflow parking.

Pros were clean Bathrooms Who ever cleans these works like a champ! Access to river and boat ramp. Annual campers that help you back into skinny lots and show you dark areas that flood. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Old Florida CG. Too many long/full timers with 10 pounds of "stuff" packed in a 5 pound site. Staff was friendly; however, very busy at check in. They just handed me my papers and told me my site number, said thanks and that was it. Tell them your rig is 5 feet longer than it is. Their backing are tight!! I will look elsewhere next time I am in area. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here for two nights in Feb 2015. The weather was quite cold so we didn't use any of the outdoor amenities. From the looks of things, access to the waterway was very convenient. Bathroom was very clean, just a little old. Although there were many campers, Did not have to wait to use showers. Would go here again. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Motorhome.
