Stayed for a couple of nights for a short getaway. Sites are small with good shade. We were in a rustic area by canal. Mostly permanent sites but that's not uncommon for Florida. Nice short walk to view the lake and boat inlet. Would stay again but in a different site. We camped at Lake Rousseau RV Park & Fishing Resort in a Motorhome.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Park has many seasonal and full-time residents. Most resident sites were well kept. We were led to our site and had assistance in parking as well as explanation of utilities. Site rental was full hookup 50 amp including cable TV and free WiFi on grass. We were unable to get free WiFi to work. Our site was open, so we could receive sat TV. Verizon signal was 4 bars LTE. Interior roads are paved. We camped at Lake Rousseau RV Park & Fishing Resort in a Motorhome.

This campground is a bit off the beaten track. It's on the north side of Crystal River so it takes 15 minutes to get to most of the things in Crystal River, and about 25 minutes to Homosassa Springs. It is a quiet campground with very friendly residents. Everyone we met were very kind and always sprung up a conversation. A fair number are permanent residents and there are also a large number of trailer homes but they look cared for. The campground felt very safe and rather homey. Lake Rousseau offers free wifi through tengo, you have to get a coupon for each device. We didn't use their wifi and simply used our hotspot. The signal for AT&T is pretty weak in that area, and Verizon LTE was weak but acceptable. We used our booster for better signal. The sites are some gravel, sand, and grass. Mostly level with the utilities behind the coach. There are a lot of old trees so many of the sites are fairly shaded. Our site (33) is nice and large, but the one right next to us had almost no camping area. The campground is situated right on Lake Rousseau with a boat launch area. The lake is not dog-friendly (alligators are present) but very pretty to look at. It also had a couple of dog park areas you could use. They have a swimming pool but we didn't use it. This is a good place if you're looking for quiet and perhaps some fishing. It's not a resort and there are not a lot of activities to do. The campground is quiet, pretty, and well-tended but a bit further away from town. We'd stay there again. We camped at Lake Rousseau RV Park & Fishing Resort in a Motorhome.

It was a nice campground in a natural setting. Nothing fancy, clean and well kept. A good number of snowbirds/seasonal campers. Electric was reliable. We would stay here again. We camped at Lake Rousseau RV Park & Fishing Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has mostly permanent or seasonal sites, extensions built on RVs or park models with porches, etc. We had a "water view" site, but the water was on our off door side, so we couldn't see the water unless we walked around our RV and the others parked closer to the water. It was a challenge to back in to site due to other RVs and vehicles. We had to back up so close to another rig that we could have watched each other cook dinner! Site are gravel & grass. We felt the rate of $37/night is high for what you get. We probably will not stay here again. We camped at Lake Rousseau RV Park & Fishing Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

A nice, friendly park. A fair number of seasonal occupants, who come for the season. Good size sites, very inexpensive for what you get. A bit outside of town, but VERY quiet at night. Good cable, excellent park store, friendly staff. We would stay here again. We camped at Lake Rousseau RV Park & Fishing Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a campground--not a RV resort. No fancy slabs. But when we were there, most of the people were friendly. One office worker has very bad manners. Although, the park owner was a wonderful lady. Most campers were friendly. Down side is park opened their doors to traveling workers for power plant. Some were nice, others were very undesirable. Several other parks in area, but each has distinct classifications. Pool was nice, fishing good. We would not choose to camp in Crystal River again. Personally, we enjoyed the campground, we did not care for the area. We camped at Lake Rousseau RV Park & Fishing Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a week over the Thanksgiving weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are a few sites up front that are very close to the water, they face the lake. They have a boat marina and boats for rent, apparently the bass and panfish fishing is pretty good here, unfortunately the weather was too cold for us to go out on a boat. We had a very nice large site, and most sites including ours had large shade trees. The management, workers and campers were all extremely friendly, and they had many activities organized for the season. There is a store with many essential items, fishing tackle, and live bait available as well as a good laundry, swimming pool and clubhouse. One small problem is that the well water was inconsistently colored. Sometimes it was totally clear and other times a slight brackish color. There were families with children parked all around us and they seemed to have a great time too. I would highly recommend this park. We camped at Lake Rousseau RV Park & Fishing Resort in a Motorhome.
