We booked for 3 nights. Rates are very reasonable at $35/nt and then we used the 10% military discount. There are full hook-ups, however the sewer drain is at the very back by the electric & water. Most travel trailers have their grey & black water discharge pipes located around the middle of the rig. We had to stretch our drain hose to the max to make it work. Be aware if you at an AT&T customer! There is NO cell phone signal; which makes it difficult to call the office number for your site. Apparently this is Verizon country. When you get the WiFi code though, it works great! Also be aware that this is a CASH ONLY establishment. We ended up staying for only two nights because of mandatory evacuation due to Hurricane Irma and could not get any refund. The park itself has good size dog areas with waste bags & cans available. Sites were pretty close together and the roads were a little tight. Staff were very friendly and escort you to your site. The pool and rec center were also nice. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Quail Roost has a perfect balance of great amenities and a reasonable price. Staff are always available and cheerful (They live on site, so have a vested interest in having an excellent park), and go the extra mile if you have special requests. The pool, bathhouses, community room and rec room are always sparkly clean. The park has a lack of bugs, large sites on the 50 amp side and is quiet and friendly! We've made Quail Roost our "home" park. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Up on the corner by the stoplight is a great local produce market. Also at that corner is a gas station with a wonderful woodfire pizza restaurant where you can bring in your own adult beverages. If you arrive and the office is closed (summer hours are short) just call the office number. Somebody always has the phone and will be right out to help you. Oh, and right across the street is an RV sales and service facility. We've had great luck with them (Nature Coast RV)

Quiet, well-tended campground in a somewhat rural area of Florida north of Tampa-Saint Pete. Many of the people staying there were retirees wintering or just visiting the area. The camp hosts were friendly. This was more than adequate for a one night stop. It is interesting to see and stay in the less urbanized areas of Florida. I recommend this park. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

When the RV park where we had reservations went under water in hurricane, we were graciously accomodated at Quail Roost. Given the opportunity to stay for the winter (6 mos.) we happily accepted. Enjoyed stay: clean, well maintained, spacious, great events, friendly people, great manager. Crystal River is a great place and if I were to buy a home it would be here. Meanwhile we will continue to live aboard, see the rest of the country in the summer and return to Florida for the winter. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

All sorts of shopping in town available. Great restaurants: The Loft, The Freezer, The Crab Plant, Danny's Clam Shack, Crackers, Backwater Fins, Peck's. All are local, not franchises, and most are on waterfront and reasonably priced.

Stay on P-12 that they use for transient during the season. Nice lot on grass, easy in and out easy level and all utilities was well. They have wifi and cable that both worked well also. Park is almost all snowbirds, quiet and friendly. Separate area for dogs to do their business but few dogs in the park. Interior roads easy to navigate. Stone fire cooked pizza place up the street was great. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This dog parks says pet friendly, but beware, it is not. We selected this park because they proclaim to be pet friendly. They have no clearly marked dog area, no fenced area and your dog must remain on a 6 foot leash and is not allowed anywhere in the park except dog areas indicated on their site map. This area is next to the highway and no place for your pet to run. We planned to stay a week but left after 3 days. Upon leaving the park host told my husband that she wished the did not say pet friendly at which time he informed her that they were NOT pet friendly. It also appears that they really have 2 sets of rules one for short timers and one for the longer stay people. These people are allowed to let their pets go anywhere in the park. Also they need an exterminator. There were fire ants all over the site which made it difficult to be outside. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Motorhome.

They list themselves as an RV campground but they are better then most 'resorts' we've stayed at. The entire campground is spotless. Pool is large and nice chairs and tables, 2 very nice rec areas, in winter they have a lot of activities, functioning and clean laundry area and the restroom/showers are large and immaculate. And no' no seeums'. Convenient to a lot of shopping and resturants. We will stay here again. Rate reflects monthly rate + electric. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Recently bought a travel trailer and recd complimentary camping here. Enjoyed it immensely while getting acquainted with our rig. The park has lovely trees and a great staff. The WiFi and cable made it just like home. We especially enjoyed having room to play toss and romp with our big dog! We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice, clean park, with a beautiful pool, spotless restrooms, and friendly staff. There were planned activities with the other friendly campers. The park crowd was definitely older, and there are no kids activities or playground facilities, but there is a nice rail trail, for biking, about 10 miles away. There is also a reasonably priced RV supply store across the street - same owners. The road noise, particularly the "biker" bar down the road was annoying. Also, our campsite was really tiny, a mix of grass, leaves and sand, making it messy. Other campsites seemed bigger, and nicer, but the park was full. Although there was a lot of "regulars" at the park, most very nice folks, it was a little too quiet for us. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is what I would call a so-so park. We stayed one night passing through the area. The front desk people could not have been more helpful, even going so far as to bring my keys to my site which I left in the office. We were escorted to our grass site, no patio, not particularly level, through some tight turns between what seemed to be a maze of small manufactured houses and RV sites. We later learned we were on the fringe of the RV area. When my husband turned off the engine, he leaned back and said, well I guess tomorrow I'll figure out how to get out of this place. We were able to back up and get a better angle to make the turn the following morning. Unhook your toad before entering the park and hook up in front of the office when you leave. The park obviously caters to seasonal campers. Friendly people, but we were not there long enough to experience the neighborhood. A few miles from Crystal River, shopping facilities and the customary restaurants. Plenty of space to walk the dogs. We would return, but only for overnight. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Very well looked after campground with easy access and spotless restrooms, recreation room etc. Very well equipped campground and perfect for long term 'snowbird' stays. The only tiny criticism I have is that the Wi-Fi signal is fairly weak (was the same on my last stay here in February) - could do with a booster. Ideally located in between Crystal River and Dunnellon for lots of things to see and do. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Immaculate RV park well situated in between the towns of Crystal River and Dunnellon. The staff are extremely efficient and professional and a credit to the business. The park is beautifully maintained and has a great club room, recreation room, games area, fire pit, heated pool, and mini gym. The staff and the campers here have been amongst the most friendly and welcoming I have experienced. I did have a little trouble with the free Wi-Fi at my site for 3 days but could easily get a signal at the office or Club Room. On the 4th day the Wi-Fi at my site became easily available so the park then became faultless. I will definitely stay here again. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

One of the cleanest RV parks we've ever stayed at. Very friendly and helpful staff to answer all your questions. Nice pool and two recreation rooms with nice laundry room. Mostly pull through gravel sites, pretty level with convenient utilities. An RV store and repair facility is acroos the street with a small restruant and grocery close. We're looking forward to staying here again. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an older park with same owners for 20 years that is unusually clean and well kept. Two nice rec halls: one with fire place the other air conditioned. Immaculate heated pool, shuffle board, horseshoes and laundry. The staff is very friendly and helpful and keeps this park spotless. Even in a very heavy downpour, no flooding or standing water on roads or sites. Nice level sites about split between shaded and open. Pretty booked in winter, so phone/email ahead for reservations then but worth it! Will make a point of returning. We camped at Quail Roost RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
