This is an absolutely beautiful RV park that also provides a few lovely cabins. The park sits right on the beach along what is known as "the Emerald Coast". The sand is pure white and soft and the ocean is emerald green amazingly clear water. There are sand bars offshore so the surf is very manageable. The park offers the upper area which is heavily tree'd and the lower area which is on sand. There are many amenities - being there is February we really enjoyed the covered heated pool and spa. The park offers many activities for the campers which were all fun and gave us an opportunity to make friends. The sites are long, wide and concrete with picnic tables. The upper area seems to be primarily for medium to small RVs and the large RV's seem to at the lower area. Our site was spacious with plenty of room to put out our slides and awning. Access to the park off the street is very easy. And the roads within the park made pulling in and out quite easy. A member of staff takes you to your site upon check-in and helps you get in to your site, if you need the help. Members of staff are working on the park every day all and are very very friendly and helpful. Good cell phone coverage, good cable TV. WiFi was adequate for checking email but not for doing business. There are many many restaurants and shopping very close by. We cannot wait to go back. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

We found the beautiful Website misleading. This campground was disheveled and neglected looking the minute we drove in. Weeds everywhere and no landscaping attention anywhere on sites with grass. We actually wanted a Beach Front site but local regulations prohibit dogs anywhere near the beach even if you don’t walk your dog on the beach. The Office will not rent you a Beach Front site if you have a dog. OK, not a problem. The Office assigned us to a shaded site near the entrance. The site obviously had not been cleaned up in a long time. Banana peels, cigarette butts and animal bones simply tossed around the site and the pool looked like “Polio Pond.” I called the office from our motor coach and complained. They said they would send down someone to clean up the area. I told them not to bother because we are leaving now and I wanted a full refund. I didn’t wait to hear their spiel about refunds over the phone. I drove our coach up to the Exit and went into the Office. The Manager wasn’t too happy about refunding all of our money but eventually did after giving me a difficult time. Save Your Money! We found a better RV resort just one mile away! Expensive beach site with very little space around your RV. Wi-Fi is hit and miss, mostly miss. Can't beat the beach. Water is great and you are parked on the sand. Get a golf cart. Friendly staff and a variety of sites if you want more space and less sand. Shopping, restaurants, tourist things in area if you want. Pools were great. Had 9 people, ages 2-67 with all having a great time. Expensive and not perfect, but for us, well worth it. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.Undo

Holiday weekend rate. Nice CG with some sites directly beach front. These sites are no pets or sewer (daily dump wagon for a fee). All others have sewer and pets are allowed. Our site was in the upper park area which wasn't near the beach, but was a short walk through the beach sites to the beach. The rates are tiered - Beach front, beach sites, upper park, north upper park. Of course the beach front are the most expensive. If you want absolute beach, then choose beach front. Some beach sites will have a view, but a lot of them don't. There is no shade or privacy, and sites are closer together. In the upper park section there are trees with some sites having nice shade. There are also hedges between some sites for privacy. This area felt more "nestled". All sites are concrete, except the beach front appear to be sand. Ours was very level. The Wi-Fi could be frustrating at times and work well at other times. We didn't use their cable )used our satellite) but they have a lot of channels. They have a lot of workers who are helpful and friendly, with check-in being a breeze. They escort you to your site. A bit pricey, but other than the state parks, this is pretty much it this close to the beach without having to cross the road. We would stay here again. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.Undo

Great but very expensive park. Sites are tight but staff does a great job of guiding you to your site and backing you in. Front desk staff is good but they need to look up and look you in the eye. Destin had almost 20 inches of rain while there which flooded all the beach area sites. It seems management could have had a better plan to get rid of all the water. They had no plan. Needed many more pumps and hoses. Maybe there was no place to get rid of the water. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.Undo

Excellent campground. Friendly camp hosts and clean and neat grounds. A lot to do in the town. We spent 5 nights there and would go again. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.Undo

Stayed here over spring break. LOVED IT!. Pricey campground but well worth it. Not only is the beach beautiful, but the facilities and pools were wonderful. Staff was great. Led us to our site and helped us in. The campground was crowded, but I was amazed that the facilities were as clean as they were, given the high volume and use. There were activities for kids and adults alike. We took advantage of these extras because weather did not cooperate for the week we were there. My only concern would be the Wi-Fi. We were kicked off constantly and could not remain connected for longer than one minute. We will definitely return, but would not plan on a 'beach front' site. This is a high traffic area. Although the beach is pristine and the sunsets are spectacular, the entire campground walks by your RV to access the beach. We plan to return again. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.Undo

The price reflects the monthly rate. This is a beautiful campground. Lots to do, both at the campground and in the area. There are pot luck dinners, campfires on the beach, watercolor classes, and water aerobics in the indoor pool. There are so many things going on it's hard to list all of them. And the beach: white sand, clear blue/green water, and beautiful sunsets. You wouldn't believe how nice the bathroom/showers and laundry are. I expected the laundry to be expensive, but was pleasantly surprised to find the regular-size washers are only $1.50, the extra large washers are $4, and the dryers are 25¢ for 6 minutes. We made lots of friends here. This park is wonderful. There are sites of all sizes. Some are small, others large. Some are wide, others are narrow. Whatever size RV you have, there's a site for it at this campground. Did I say campground? This is a resort. The only negative is that it’s hard to get out of this campground because to go west on Rt. 98 you have to cross several lanes of traffic. We would definitely return. We are staying a month ($1,008). Very nice park with workers everywhere to answer questions, and help you in any way they can. Park is well groomed, offers inside pool and outside pool, as well as activities and activity room. Well groomed lots, where you can choose how close to the Gulf you want to be (Including sites right on the beach). Definitely worth the money! We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.Undo

The good: love the waterfront availability. As they say on their slogan, you can't get any closer. Lots of snowbirds on the upper park and mostly shorter term on the lower. As would be expected, very close quarters. Stayed a week in a site two off from the ocean. Weather was so-so but not the park's fault at all. Close to lots of shopping and restaurants and all the Destin action. Cable TV was great! The bad: WiFi was horrible. On one minute and off the next. They indicated a password was required but never prompted for one? Very discourteous campers that fired up the diesels early (5:30 am) for a half hour prior to leaving. Isn't this a violation of "quiet hours?" Again, not the campground's fault. All in all, liked our stay. Staff was ok but not super friendly. Price was high as would be expected for the location. Would stay here again but would look at other locations also in the Gulf area. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Tent Trailer.Undo

Great staff, found them all to be friendly and very helpful. Wi-Fi at our spot was just fine. Great pizza place across the street. In December the price was $1,000 a month plus taxes. Weather was horrid most of our stay, but not the fault of the park of course. Great area, lots to do, places to see, etc. When the weather was nice it was fantastic. Would stay again for sure, bad weather and all. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.Undo

Love this place. The RV park was here before all the development of high rise condos and shops. You really have the best of both worlds. Access to shops, wonderful restaurants and yet you can grab a towel and head for the beach with your favorite drink to enjoy a private sunset. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.Undo

The sites are very close together. Forget about sleeping in, when the people next to you are awake you are awake. I was next to a double site so they had 2 RV's on one site with lots of people and lots of noise. Also, it was raining and the road was flooded so we had to wait to get our RV to the site. When we first got to the park the people at the front office on the highway were not friendly or helpful at all. When we registered the lady inside was much more helpful. The rangers were also helpful. I did like the location. It is close to malls, movies, etc. I also liked being that close to the Gulf. They had lots of activities for younger children. I will stay here again if I cant find a place at a more reasonable price. I find the rates are too expensive for what you get. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.Undo

It was a beautiful park and clean. Except the bathrooms one morning were all nasty. Wi-Fi is sketchy. People were nice and staff was great. It was worth the money to stay on the beach. The club house was nice and pools and spa were nice, too. Overall, it was a perfect 10. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Travel Trailer.Undo

I loved this campground. I am giving it a 9, because they totally messed up and caused us a lot of extra work. When we arrived we were placed in the wrong site. After setting up we were told we would have to move. I was pretty upset, setting up a 5th is a lot of work. We moved, as it turned out our new spot was great and we enjoyed the remainder of the trip with beautiful weather, a great beach and a beautiful campground. The location was great and there was plenty of fun things to do along the Emerald Coast. I would stay here again, but I would make sure next time that if they put me in the wrong spot that they financially reimburse me for the inconvenience! We camped at Camp Gulf in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
