Jan 2007 - $30.00
We parked here most of 2004 and all of 2005 and have friends there now (2008). It's a small park, with several mobile homes and some 'permanent' RVs. It's not an over night place. Rate is $325 plus metered electricity for the first 6 months. Nice yards, cement patios. Located next to a large mobile home retirement community in a pretty quiet area. - Working Full timer
Mar 2017 - $40.00
Roadways and spaces are really small, impossible to get in/out without tree limbs brushing tops and sides of our 33' class C motor home. Appears to cater more toward senior citizen snow birds, definitely did not seem kid friendly (and lady who checked us in jacked up rate $12/night when she found out we had kids), odd since they advertise their proximity to legoland. Even one of the full timers there that was nice to us told us to ignore the checkin lady, they knew exactly attitude we encountered without us saying a word. - Erica LR
Nov 2013 - $17.00
Small, family-run park. Very friendly, helpful people. Moderate traffic noise if you are parked right along the street. Lovely lake shore waterfront lots at the rear of the park but they are not very long. Streets inside the park are very tight. They have a laundry, did not use. They have 2 50-amp sites along the street. Wi-Fi worked well, only somewhat slow in the early evening, like everywhere. The published rate was the Passport rate for 50 amp service. There was cable installed at our 50-amp site, but it did not work. Water pressure was very low, especially in the morning and early evening. Because of the traffic noise and the very low water pressure, we would not stay here again. - SusanRon
Feb 2013 - $17.00
We knew nothing about this park before coming here, except it was cheap (rate quoted is Passport). We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival, given a choice between a full hook-up site or a lovely waterfront w/e site. We chose the site on the lake where we could watch the birds and the sunset. They helped us into the site (some spaces looked small, but ours was fine). One evening, they had live music in the lakeside porch, place felt like a friendly neighborhood. Some would complain about tight turns to get in but for the money, we thought this place was great. We stayed for five nights and would definitely return. - joenan

Price reflects monthly stay of $475 plus $50 deposit for electric. This park is a 55+ age restricted park, but the folks here are a very nice and pleasant crowd. The sites are a mixture of permanent park models and pads for short/long timers. We stayed for 1 month, but most folks stay for 3 to 4 months in the winter time. Utilities are fine, but the water does have a faint smell to it, water and electric connections are in the back while the sewer is mid-ship. The pads are a good 20 feet wide and you park your camper in the grass, so you have the entire pad for you truck and chairs, but no picnic table or fire ring. My only complaint about the place is its right on Rt. 60 and the orange trucks run all day & night, if you are in the back, its not bad, but we were on the 2nd road in road the highway. Oh, and its 7 miles east of Bartow, Fl, but 1.5 hours from either coast. And watch out for the fire ants!!!! Wi-Fi is available through a 3rd party vendor for $35 a month. We didn’t try it. We will probably return since we made lots of friends here. Oh, and they don't seem to have a web site; at least I couldn't find one. - oldelmer1
Feb 2009 - $28.00
Nice park in central part of the state of state road 60. We stayed 6 weeks and enjoyed ourselves very much. Lots of activities scheduled daily, friendly staff and campers, lots of return snowbirds and full-time residents. We plan to return. - donbar
Dec 2008 - $25.00
Very nice quiet campground, if you don't stay on the outside roads. Very nice people. - CMcgirr
Feb 2017 - $20.00
Hammondell is mainly for permanent and snowbirds with about 40 spots for short term stays. We stayed for a month so the daily rate was very low, but had an electric bill of about $40 at the end of the month. - WNC Traveler
Mar 2016 - $24.00
This is definitely a retirement park and the vast majority of the permanent units are old and in need of upkeep. There are a few overnight sites and all of these are tight, really tight for a rig over 30 feet long to get in and out of. Hook ups were typical and the price per night included cable TV. The best thing I can say about this park is that it is quiet. We paid for 10 nights and ended up staying only 5 nights. - the Fishers
Mar 2015 - $16.00
We stayed for 4 months at the monthly rate of $475 plus electric. WiFi was limited as we were in the rear of the park but not a major problem as we opted for the extended TV and WiFi thru the local provider. While the sites are somewhat narrow and some of the paved streets are not the widest this is more than offset by management and the people that reside in the park.
We have stayed in different parks and in different cities within FL and this is by far the friendliest park we have had the pleasure of staying at. The manager, is the greatest. Plenty of planned activities to keep everyone busy or lounge around the pool...your choice.
Made a lot of friends that we now stay in contact with. Can't wait to go bad next winter. - BlueBoy
Jan 2017 - $40.00
We stayed 2 nights. Being there at high season and their overnight sites were full, they let us stay in one of the longer term sites that was very large. The site we were on was well covered with grass and fairly level. The park manager was very friendly and helped us get situated. We enjoyed the heated pool which was clean and well maintained. This park has about 1/3 park model sites and the rest are for RVs. We would stay here again. - Steve77
Feb 2016 - $36.00
This an older park that is well maintained. Site were a bit close, we were unable to put our awning out, but we were in the overnight sites and the other sites look larger. Be careful some of the turns are tight put if you watch what you're doing not a problem. Power was good, water was 42psi, Wi-Fi was good. No cable but we got 88 air channels. The real positive thing is the owner goes out of his way to give you a warm friendly welcome. I marked this campground up one just because of him. - Traveler II
Jun 2017 - $45.00
Older Park, most occupants appear to be permanent or long term clients. Conveniently located to LEGO Land and WalMart. Weather conditions forced us to depart a day early. Even though we gave them heads-up the day before, Management would not refund us the cost of the for the day. We reserved a "Deluxe pull-thru concrete" site. There was nothing deluxe about it. Doubt if we will stay here again. - Joe-n-Doe
Apr 2017 - $45.00
Negatives - Mostly permanent residents, not many children, very little shade, lacking an adequate playground area, extremely quiet. Positives - Walmart within walking distance, close to LEGOLAND, clean area, friendly office staff. Overall - We went with our three kids. The staff were friendly but the park was mostly older individuals and there were almost no children. We felt out of place with our active children. If you're looking for a quiet retreat this would be it. But I wouldn't recommend if you have small kids that want to play. - Brunette8610
Jun 2016 - $35.00
The managers were very friendly and helpful. Large park, with a number of permanent residents, but very well kept. We stayed here for 4 nights mid June 2016. Cost was $35.00 a night with Good Sam discount. Site was a little wider than normal, and long enough for our 37-foot RV and tow-dolly. There are at least 3 bathhouse buildings, so you are close no matter where you are in the park. The one I went into was very clean. Pool was nice and clean, and they also offer shuffleboard, bocce balls, basketball, mini-golf and a playground area, plus a fenced dog park. WiFi was good, we don't use cable or satellite so can't comment. Laundry on site but didn't use it. - BarrettsHappyTrails
Feb 2009 - $30.00
Of all the questions I answered above they do offer, but it is not big rig friendly The way they advertised it sounded so great and it looks like a dump with many pernament people here. We are on a corner lot and very close to the road and people come very close to our RV and car. We had to ask one of the host to move their golfcart so we could put our slides out. I would never stay here again. - vella
May 2018 - $29.00
Stayed here in a 38' fifth wheel for a weekend. Long and spacious sites with concrete patios. They rent golf carts and has beautiful walkways along a pond. Would definitely return if in the area. - Roger & Mag
Jan 2018 - $54.00
We needed a place for 2 weeks while between houses. Since we're from Lakeland, we never had a reason to check out Sanlan. We were very impressed with what is right in our backyard. This place is extremely nice and one of the nicest we've ever stayed, though a little pricey. They offer a 5% discount for weekly stays and a 10% discount for monthly stays. There is a $1 per day charge for the dog and a $2 per day charge for an extra vehicle beyond the RV & toad. There is a bird/wildlife sanctuary with hiking trails, a lake, wetlands, ponds, golf course, and lots of snowbird activities. Very clean with lots of space for walking the dog and some nice views. Wifi went from good to slow, so mostly used my own. Cable was good. Location for shopping/restaurants is excellent. Easy, efficient check-in with super office staff. Our FHU site was a level, concrete site with a large concrete patio. There is a mobile home park section that is well kept and nice. If we ever have the need to stay locally again, we will definitely stay here. - Gayle E.
Jan 2018 - $60.00
Top notch RV Resort in a great location. Our concrete pull thru was extra long with plenty of room between sites. Patio and picnic table, free wi-fi and cable. Plenty of area to walk the dogs and even a hiking trail. Next to a golf course for those interested. Two nice pools. Close to shopping or the Polk Pkwy to hop on head to Tampa, Orlando or the beach. - travelswithpuppies
