We stayed for an incredible price, $30 nightly. Assistant manager was very helpful and friendly. Gave us all kinds of directions to the keys and everglades. He even helped me with my computer, go figure. Bathrooms were newly tiled, even though we barely used them. We camped at City of Florida City Camp Site RV Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Campground is mostly full of permanent residents in camping units of various states of disrepair. Roads are fine. Transient area is a grassy field which is kept mowed . Utilities there are only 30 amp. Restrooms were marginally clean. Washer dryer worked well. Lots of aggressive barking dogs and feral cats. We will not stay here again. There is no nighttime security, gates are wide open, and we learned later that the park is near a very bad neighborhood. Our bikes were locked to our RV and during the night thieves cut through the bike cable locks and stole our two bikes. They also stole our neighbors bike. Park management did not warn us of this potential problem and when we reported the theft they stated that it was unusual to have 3 stolen at once. They were not surprised of the theft. Most horrible dirty park we were ever in. Grass was so high we could not even find the hookups. We should have left but had driven a long day and needed to get to the Keys, so we just dry camped and left early the next day. We camped at City of Florida City Camp Site RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Old, run down campground with loads of permanent residents with "grown in" rigs. Uneven grass sites and narrow potholed roads. That said, the people are friendly and it's quiet at night. Many kids and dogs. We would not return. We camped at City of Florida City Camp Site RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $15.00
We camped here last year in January also and can say the atmosphere is much better now. Many of the older junky RVs have been removed and the bad element that was stealing bicycles and other items left out has not been a problem this year. We have been here for 3 weeks so far and will extend another 30 days at the monthly rate of $425 which includes electric ($28 daily & $170/week). The monthly rate is much better than the other parks in the area. There are no planned activities or pool in this park so if that's important to you, then this is not the park for you but, if you want a great rate with an equally great location this park will do just fine. The showers are usable but with full hookups, who needs them? We first stayed here in 1975 - not much has changed since then. It's surprising to see the park still here after Hurricane Andrew passed over it! We plan to stay here on our next winter get-away trip to Florida also. The office hours are limited and this park does not take reservations. If you arrive after hours, there's an overflow area to use with water and electric available. There have been times when we had to wait for someone to leave for a site with full hookups but that was several years ago - there are several good spots open right now. Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $28.00
This city operated park has a great location just one block off US-1 and the entrance to the Florida Keys and Everglades National Park at Flamingo. Nice friendly folks. We've stayed here in the past and will use the park again in the future. The sites are all grassy and level. There are several units that have been here too long and show their age and should be salvaged. Overall, the park is pretty decent. The monthly rate of $425 and weekly rate of $170 include electric - max stay is 6 months for "new comers". Super Wal-Mart & Home Depot are just a block away as are other shopping and dining. The crime rate outside the gate is twice the national average but no problems have been reported in the park other than the theft of unsecured bicycles. There is no pool, but there is a playground and pavilion. Propane is available in the park as well as Laundromat facilities. We camped at City of Florida City Camp Site RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo
