When we checked in they gave us a site but it had a truck parked on it,, called the office they said to just pick one nearby. Good location & close the Keys, Park is not that quiet with bikes going in & out, Tiki bar on site has loud music on weekends till midnight doing karoke. Old laundry room, sites are tight & hard to get in to other vehicles in the way. Lots of snowbirds. Probably won't be back. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Take a ride over to Biscane park nearby. Key Largo 30 min. away. Outlet mall across the road, close to shopping, restaurants nearby. Can be hard getting in to Park off southbound turnpike ramp diving over to 4 lanes of traffic to turn left.

Older park with very tight roads and sites. Bad WIFI and no cable. Satellite if you get a good site. Way overpriced for what you get. Lots of permanents and 1/2 time snowbird permanents. Nice pool and has a bar on premises. Some activities. Mostly level grass back in full hook up 30 & 50 amp sites. You have to get everyone to move their vehicles to get into and out of your site. Will find another place next time. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Snowbirds, but more so long-termers. Tight fit from perspective of folks with trucks parked in front of their units half in the narrow gravel site pathways. This was a stayover for us so we could then arrive in Key West early next day. Wifi poor as usual for any place we stay. No store that I'm aware of. PROS: Very accessible off main highway heading onward to Homestead, and Key west. Walmart and other stores can be biked to somewhat safely. Fairly quiet after 10PM. CONS: Lots of noisy motorcycles during day leaving...later coming back, but hey...nothing worse than many with trucks/etc. coming going at typical park. Tiki Bar not open except for certain dates/events ?? I would stay again ONLY for one night, it's ok. They allowed one "resident" to post giant political sign across his vehicle, with jeers to those voting for the opposing candidate. This makes this resort look stupid. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Weekly rate. This park is about location. Right at the entrance to the Florida Keys with access to the Keys without the price. The park is older but very pleasant. Restrooms and showers are well maintained and clean. The pool is elevated, heated and very well maintained. The clubhouse is large and much used for all types of activities. The Tiki Bar is unique and the drinks are good and reasonably priced. The sites are mostly grass but due to heavy rains this year many of them were mud, but the office had no problem with moving us to a grass site from our original muddy one. Everyone here was friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was the roads are very narrow and people parked their vehicles right on the edge of the road. I had to go around three times to get lined up on our site so I could get in. Also beware there are many mature trees with low limbs making it dangerous to get into and out of some sites with tall rigs. WiFi was very spotty and due to the trees TV reception was restricted. I would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Beware!! If southbound on the turnpike and you get off to go to the park, you have a very short distance to get across three lanes of traffic to turn left to the park. A few drivers were not happy with me by the time I got there with a full size Dually and a 37 ft. 5th wheel.

This is an old park, with narrow but passable roads. It's at the far south end of Florida. Great for going to the Everglades or the Keys. Sites are on grass. Some have concrete patios; ours didn't. WIFI is almost non-existent. When it worked, it was very slow. Park is very quiet. We had a pull-through - essential for our size with these narrow roads. Still, it was a nice place to stay and would stay here again. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for 2 nights over New Years Eve. Park is tightly packed with narrow spots and very narrow roads, making it difficult to get in and out. Had to ask the guest across from our spot to move his truck to make it possible for me to hitch up.

The site is on grass with a small concrete patio. There are many huge tree roots under the grass, making it impossible to put the stakes for the awning straps into the ground.

The picnic table was an old wooden thing that was completely deformed of age and the high humidity.

Great location with shopping and restaurants within 5 minutes from the park. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice RV park just south of Homestead, FL. We planned to stay a couple of days & move on to the Keys. Then, we enjoyed our stay so much that we signed up for 2 more weeks with no hesitation. This is a very laid-back RV Resort. The maintenance guys are friendly & keep the park neat & clean. The office staff have been very friendly & helpful during our stay. The only reason I didn't give this park a higher rating is that the sites are pretty close together. All sites are grass & many have a concrete pad. Roads are paved. The Tiki Bar is a nice place to relax & have a few drinks in the evening. Bartender is friendly and helpful. They even held a Super Bowl party where we were invited to bring our favorite appetizer / snack. We had a great time & the other folks staying here are all easy-going & fun to talk to. They have a breakfast buffet every other week which is very good. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove the full length of the Keys. Neat restaurants to enjoy! Miami Beach is a fun place to visit. And the Broward Center for the Performing Arts is just a short drive away. We happened to catch the Lion King Broadway show there.

A pleasant park with paved roads, grassy sites, and shade trees. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good security. Wi-Fi was free and reliable most of the time. Handy location to tour the area sights: Everglades and Biscayne National Parks. There is a Tiki Bar open four nights a week to the public! We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Easy access from highway but far enough away that noise is not a problem. Sites are mostly grass with some concrete patios. As with most Florida parks it has a large winter season population as well as some longer term residents. WI-FI was reasonable and they offer storage. Good short term park, we would stay again if in the area. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here several times in the past 6 years. This park has beautiful trees and flowering shrubs throughout. Also one of the grounds workers was the nicest man, he couldn't speak English, but tried hard. There's not enough space here to state the negatives unfortunately. The owner rides around in a gulf cart looking for sites to complain about. She is not very nice to talk with. The office help are indifferent, and not very friendly. We were promised a specific site on the phone only to find it was given to someone else right before we arrived. The lady told us we weren't allowed to request a site. Every time we went in the office there was another note telling all of us what we could or couldn't do and the consequences. They were enforced randomly, many blatantly ignoring the "latest" new rule and yet another would be asked to leave wondering "why them" when no one else was. The sites are close together and the concrete pads are too small and too far back to be useful. Every time it rained we had a mess out our front door. They have a public Tiki Bar in the middle of the park and every night awful karaoke could be heard loudly even in the remotest areas. We never did get comfortable with non-campers coming and going at all hours. The Wi-Fi was a joke, when we made the reservation we were told they had just updated the Wi-Fi in the entire park. Our site was right behind the office this time and we never had good signal or kept getting kicked off. We had to call and ask them to restart the service every other day. The bathrooms and showers were somewhat clean but old and smelly, with stained and broken tile. They have a laundry room with many old non-efficient machines. The dryers took forever to dry anything. We understand this park is being sold to accommodate a casino, and there has been no money put into updating anything in this park for years. This is a gem waiting to be polished. Too bad it won't get its chance. This area needs a really nice RV park. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed there monthly and the monthly rate included a certain amount of electricity which we never went over. The people were friendly, the staff friendly and most helpful. One of our party had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance, and the staff bent over backwards to help us. The biggest problem is that the sites are narrow and you are very close to your next door neighbor. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Motorhome.

If you like extremely loud music that continues to after mid-night and makes sleep or even conversations in most of this campground impossible, then this RV Park is the place for you. Don’t consider asking the campground owner to ensure the Tiki Bar music is played at a sane level, we were told he was the one actually playing music/karaoke and everyone’s request for volume reductions were rudely ignored. This music was so loud the Tiki Bar was empty at 9:30pm on Saturday night, but the deafening levels of possibly the worlds worst music selections still continued for hours longer. Getting in and out of this RV Park is extremely dangerous due to the traffic patterns and flow especially for larger rigs. The sites were well spaced and some had trees, but navigation on the narrow roads in the campground was very difficult for our longer fifth wheel. All sites had grass (no gravel) which was nice, but it was very difficult for us to actually get out of our site the day we left due to no traction on the grass in the rain. Most rigs were newer, some are permanent and there are work crew campers also. This is a 1950s RV Campground that shows it’s age everywhere. Nothing is terrible, just worn. The bath and showers were adequate, but all were in need of a full face lift and more frequent cleaning. No sites had garbage containers! We would suggest name change for this RV Park. Something like the “Southern Discomfort RV Resort.” We will never go back there and have never seen such a total lack of respect for customers at any RV Park before. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an old campground but has plenty of room for our 40' rig to move around. There are no concrete pads for your RV but the grass is pretty level. Some sites have a pad for the patio but most do not. There is a Tiki Bar in the park and there is live music 3 nights a week. It is very loud and you can hear it from anywhere in the park way into the late night. People are friendly and the staff is helpful. I would come back. This is an older park with narrow roads and uneven tight spaces. We only had 30amp hookup and don't know if there were 50amp spaces available. They have entertainment 3 nights a week, but the drawback is that it is loud and continued until 12:30am. We camped at Southern Comfort RV Resort in a Motorhome.
