People are real friendly, management is a different story ,we reserved a week stay and where informed that a week is 6 nights and would have to pay an extra night to make it 7 nights. When did our great government shorten the week in to 6 nights .never heard this kind of nonsense in my life (I refused to pay extra) - dutch101
Jan 2012 - $33.00
They are very nice people. They have a pool, but it was to cold to enjoy when we were there. It did look nice. There are many permanent sites. - cjohn
Feb 2011 - $25.00
This is an adult park and approximately 75% are permanent sites but the staff and residents are some of the most friendly and helpful we have found anywhere. There are activities almost every day and a large church service every Sunday plus a jam session Sunday afternoon during season. The streets are all paved and each site has a concrete patio. Almost all head back north in March so not many activities off season. There is a Wal-Mart 5 miles down the road and some great places to eat. We stayed for 2 weeks and cost is the nightly charge for a week. We will be back next year for a month. - sam&laura
Jun 2017 - $30.00
This is a beautifully kept park. The work campers work year round to keep it tried and clean. The residents (yes, residents, because if you camp here you become family and this becomes "home" to most). It is only for Class A's and Fifth Wheels. - vjt
Feb 2017 - $45.00
We stayed here for about 4 weeks. The grounds are beautiful and surrounded by a nice golf course. They have a chef who prepares special meals weekly. Activities include pickleball, all kinds of exercise classes, golf groups, crafts, live music groups and more. The only minus would be the area. There's just not much there as far as sights, restaurants, or shopping. Warm weather, friendly people and facilities make it a nice winter stop. - Cathic
Jan 2017 - $26.00
People were nice but very cliquey. $15 administration fee added to monthly electric bill which wasn't mentioned at time of registration. At time of making reservations asked park if they had billards cause husband enjoyed playing Was told yes, and they played other rv parks in the area. Billards were scheduled on Wednesday evenings, my husband went quite a few times and no one ever showed up. There were no teams, therefore no playing other rv parks. Very disappointed the 2 mo we were there. Will never go back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, unless they were into golf, golf, golf. - Doglover68
Feb 2018 - $21.00
We stayed for a month, very quiet and sites were level and grass. Good hook ups, I'd give it a higher rating if they had their laundry facilities fixed..no machines, and a picnic table would be nice. - Big Bird 2224
Apr 2015 - $14.00
Very nice park. Easy access and comfortable place to camp. - Tazi4cricket
Feb 2015 - $14.00

Jan 2014 - $21.00
Price reflects monthly stay of $475 plus $50 deposit for electric. This park is a 55+ age restricted park, but the folks here are a very nice and pleasant crowd. The sites are a mixture of permanent park models and pads for short/long timers. We stayed for 1 month, but most folks stay for 3 to 4 months in the winter time. Utilities are fine, but the water does have a faint smell to it, water and electric connections are in the back while the sewer is mid-ship. The pads are a good 20 feet wide and you park your camper in the grass, so you have the entire pad for you truck and chairs, but no picnic table or fire ring. My only complaint about the place is its right on Rt. 60 and the orange trucks run all day & night, if you are in the back, its not bad, but we were on the 2nd road in road the highway. Oh, and its 7 miles east of Bartow, Fl, but 1.5 hours from either coast. And watch out for the fire ants!!!! Wi-Fi is available through a 3rd party vendor for $35 a month. We didn’t try it. We will probably return since we made lots of friends here. Oh, and they don't seem to have a web site; at least I couldn't find one. - oldelmer1
Feb 2009 - $28.00
Nice park in central part of the state of state road 60. We stayed 6 weeks and enjoyed ourselves very much. Lots of activities scheduled daily, friendly staff and campers, lots of return snowbirds and full-time residents. We plan to return. - donbar
Dec 2008 - $25.00
Very nice quiet campground, if you don't stay on the outside roads. Very nice people. - CMcgirr
Dec 2012 - $23.00
We stayed here for one month in a full hook-up site. We paid $525, which included 50 amp service and 30 days worth of Wi-Fi. The site we had (R-28) was a wide, corner site having some palm trees. It took some maneuvering to get our 40+' fifth wheel in, but, we managed. This park is 90% manufactured homes and/or trailers converted into homes (i.e. carports; sheds; residential AC units; etc). Some lots are kept up better than others. The transient sites are scattered throughout the park; the bulk of them being in front near the entrance. They have two pools (one which was heated to 80+ degrees). The laundry facilities were dated; but, adequate. The interior roads are level and paved (everyone uses golf carts to get around). We encountered many friendly people (most of whom were over 60). Would stay here again. - Shin
Feb 2018 - $23.00
We prefer public parks that offer larger sites and Hardee Lakes does that. Some of the sites along Deer lake are pull through which are nice. Utilities were in good shape. Weekends get busy during the peak season, but weekdays the park quiets right down again. We managed to stay longer than the 14 day limit by swapping sites which the management was helpful in doing. The facilities were modern and clean. This is a great place to bring a golf cart or UTV as there are many trails to explore. Unfortunately, due to the alligator population, swimming in the lakes is prohibited. We had no issue navigating the gravel roads with our 42 foot fifth wheel, or spotting it in the sites. - Uncledon
Mar 2018 - $32.00
The restrooms and clubhouse are kept clean. The pool is nice, but the area surrounding the pool and the clubhouse are being neglected, as is the grass on the RV sites. There are lots of activities for snowbirds. Residents are friendly, but clique-ish. There are a couple of restaurants and a Save-a-Lot in Frostproof, but you have to drive about 12 miles to find more businesses. - Midwest Fiver
Dec 2017 - $40.00
Have visited this park many times and it has gone down considerably. Although there are large sites the rest of the park needs attention. Large sites aren't going to keep guests when the rest is neglected. The wifi is horrible and not everyone can get their own in this remote area. The pool is being kept too cool ( 82 ) for most seniors while pools in parks closeby are 84-86. Despite many complaints the manager refuses to warm the pool to past seasons temps. Hot tubs are often not working and entire pool area isn't cleaned to the standard it once was. If a pool is important for your stay, go elsewhere. Pool furniture is always in disarray and stones around are dirty with weeds growing through. No longer an option to 6/6 requiring one to pay monthly and be an annual, even when you're not here. rates have become too high for the declining amenities. - ginger53
Nov 2017 - $27.00
We booked the winter here. I would rate this park a 9 or 10 if they had cable TV and decent internet. We don't have pets, so no comments there.
We booked this park for the winter when we were told we could get internet service from Frontier Communications. When we arrived, we called Frontier, spent an hour on the phone with them; and were willing to jump through all their hoops: which included having paperwork signed by a notary to prove we are who we say we are. We offered to pay for the services up front: and they wouldn't allow that either. Then they told us they were "capped" at the park and couldn't even offer the service.
We are VERY disappointed as we wouldn't have come here, had we known that good reliable internet wasn't available. We are currently using their wi-fi, which is passable - but works when it wants to - and this is only November. I am sure by January, we won't be able to get on at all. Even our U.S. hotspot is working sporadically here.
Other than that, the park is clean and pretty and well laid out with lots of activities. Make sure you bring a 'step-down' if you have 30amp service in your rig.
So if internet isn't important to you (or you have your own U.S. cell service/data plan), it is probably a wonderful place to spend the winter. - Kemptvillekids
Jan 2017 - $20.00
The park is spacious and well kept. There are activities daily. The pool is kept quite warm and is clean. Sites are a nice size and are clean and maintained. Location is very central, but all major attractions are an hour away. Great park. - From Here to There
May 2015 - $22.00
Our rate is based on a monthly stay. We were in the area checking out wintering locations. This park is tops in the area. Pool is excellent size and the whole place is paved except the actual lot you park on is gravel. There is a paved patio and driveway to each site though. Mangers were very nice and accommodating. They have a pot luck monthly that the campground supplies Hamburgers and Hotdogs for. Laundry room is the largest we have seen. 10 Miles either direction you are in a major area with lots of stores and restaurants. Campground is 50% full time residents but there sites are beautiful and kept up. They also made us feel right at home and were not standoffish at all. We will definitely be returning as we made winter reservation for next year. - Lifetraveler
Jul 2012 - $60.00
I stayed here for a week while visiting family in the area. All of the facilities were neat & clean and were obviously well-maintained. The pool was a refreshing retreat for some exercising and cooling off after a long, hot day. My space was large and level, with a clean concrete patio and full hook-ups (50-amp). There was plenty of space between my site and my neighbor. Everyone I met was friendly and happy. I had such a nice time here that I am considering spending a few months here this winter. I recommend this park. - bcbounders
