37 RV Parks near Frostproof, Florida
May 2015 - $22.00
Our rate is based on a monthly stay. We were in the area checking out wintering locations. This park is tops in the area. Pool is excellent size and the whole place is paved except the actual lot you park on is gravel. There is a paved patio and driveway to each site though. Mangers were very nice and accommodating. They have a pot luck monthly that the campground supplies Hamburgers and Hotdogs for. Laundry room is the largest we have seen. 10 Miles either direction you are in a major area with lots of stores and restaurants. Campground is 50% full time residents but there sites are beautiful and kept up. They also made us feel right at home and were not standoffish at all. We will definitely be returning as we made winter reservation for next year. - Lifetraveler
Jul 2012 - $60.00
I stayed here for a week while visiting family in the area. All of the facilities were neat & clean and were obviously well-maintained. The pool was a refreshing retreat for some exercising and cooling off after a long, hot day. My space was large and level, with a clean concrete patio and full hook-ups (50-amp). There was plenty of space between my site and my neighbor. Everyone I met was friendly and happy. I had such a nice time here that I am considering spending a few months here this winter. I recommend this park. - bcbounders
Nov 2011 - $40.00
We have stayed in the park for the last few years and in my opinion there have been improvements made constantly. The new clubhouse is excellent which includes an exercise room, new restrooms and showers which are very clean. We stayed in a motorhome and will return again. My only concern was the cold pool but and I think it has finally been repaired. A very clean park and I would recommend it for a long or short stay. - Donbren
Jan 2017 - $16.00
This is a very nice park, very secluded, large lake, very well maintained. Campground manager is great. Great place to go and get away. - wwbpi
Mar 2016 - $42.00
Very nice place with very large sites. Lots of friendly seasonal people that lease their lots and really keep them nice with grass and plantings etc. The RV area was very quiet. Lots of place for the dogs to run in 3 fenced areas.
Mix of 5th wheels and MH's in the RV area. Park models and mfg. houses in the other. Good WIFI.
The campground owned sites and areas could use a few $ spent to spruce it up a little but otherwise no complaints. - az99
Feb 2016 - $30.00
Not overly friendly, a lot of regulars here year after year. The sites are set up for lease. Most all the sites are on lease. There are some monthly and because of 2 year lease you don't find you are invited. They do have activities that are nice. The big problem is that you are 15 to 20 miles to the nearest food store. Walmart is 16 miles away. If you have pets they have a nice dog area, but you can only do it there. No street walking. WiFi is free, but very weak. Could not even check emails at times. One other thing, if you get a site have it sprayed for Fire Ants. It costs 30.00 dollars. Worth every penny, good for 3 months. - Puppy2901
Dec 2014 - $27.00
The $27 nightly is because of a months stay. Very nice park, lots of activities, and everything very well taken care of. One of the better fitness centers I've used. Everyone very friendly. My only negative is that it should have WiFi (I used my Verizon) & cable TV included in rent instead of having to contact an outside provider. Although a small thing, it would also be nice to have a concrete parking pad. There are so many park choices in FL, that we would probably try another before returning. - Mariner
Dec 2012 - $23.00
We stayed here for one month in a full hook-up site. We paid $525, which included 50 amp service and 30 days worth of Wi-Fi. The site we had (R-28) was a wide, corner site having some palm trees. It took some maneuvering to get our 40+' fifth wheel in, but, we managed. This park is 90% manufactured homes and/or trailers converted into homes (i.e. carports; sheds; residential AC units; etc). Some lots are kept up better than others. The transient sites are scattered throughout the park; the bulk of them being in front near the entrance. They have two pools (one which was heated to 80+ degrees). The laundry facilities were dated; but, adequate. The interior roads are level and paved (everyone uses golf carts to get around). We encountered many friendly people (most of whom were over 60). Would stay here again. - Shin
Feb 2016 - $37.00
Very clean and quiet. People are friendly. Lots of planned activities, shuffleboard, pickle ball, pool, horseshoes. Hookups are in a good location. Don't let the number of park models dissuade you. Roads are all paved as are most of the sites. Some of the are not double concrete and the unit is parked on the grass with a nice concrete patio/driveway. The sites are some of the most spacious we've seen. Will return in a heartbeat. - User3025
Jan 2016 - $38.00
One of the cleanest parks I have been too everyone was friendly and made us feel at home and part of the family, will definitely come back if in this area. - jamie1
Mar 2015 - $25.00
This is such a nice park, every one made us feel right at home, both residence and staff. Convenient to town, very quiet, paved streets, concrete pads. There is a pool, a lake with a gazebo, and many activities. Many ride bikes and walk their dogs. We will certainly go back. - esta34950
Jan 2012 - $13.00
Rate reflects a 3 month commitment. This was our first time staying and we spent the winter (Jan-Mar). This is a 'community' park in the sense that everybody is family. Sites are spacious, activities are age appropriate, new-comers are welcome--we didn't want to leave when the time came and we've already reserved our space for Jan - Apr 2013. - Lonnie Clark
Sep 2010 - $29.00
It is one of the parks with the cleanest restrooms and showers we've been in. We're full-timers for 5 years now. This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. Highly recommend it. - Marybeth5613
Aug 2010 - $28.00
Good value for the money. The restroom, shower and laundry room are five star. Good location and a nice pool. Would stay here again. - DanMain
Feb 2017 - $38.00
Excellent park. Owners treat you like family. Small park which I like more personal service and you get to know everyone. Very friendly. - Caref
Feb 2017 - $25.00
This is an older park that advertises a heated indoor pool, which is very musty and cold. It has a large number of permanents who think they own the park, cut through your lot like you have a sidewalk. The owners are not willing to do anything about it.
The sites are smallest I have ever seen. The roads are cramped and difficult to maneuver. I had to get my neighbor to move his truck so I could get out.
Suppose to stay 6 months left after 3. Washrooms are clean but very old and in need of work. I would not recommend this park - janel323
Sep 2016 - $38.00
We had been staying at an RV park a little further from Lake Wales and didn't like it. We had one week here and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The people in the park were very friendly. I loved the catch and release pond, you might see a gator! Friendly ducks that live in the park as well as squirrels/chipmunks, new to this country, not sure of the difference. Didn't use the indoor pool or shuffleboard, but they were there. The amenities were fine, washing facilities were very cheap compared to the laundromat and air conditioned.
We could get internet from our site and it was certainly sufficient for our needs. We stayed here whilst waiting on our house, I wish I could have stayed longer, great feeling staying here.
Thoroughly recommend it. - Bevo25039
Apr 2017 - $30.00
Beautiful place with nice large pool and clubhouse overlooking the lake. Undergoing renovations but well kept! Absolutely loved the owners and friendly staff. - indianadobermans
Mar 2014 - $40.00
This is an older RV and mobile home park that recently changed ownership. It has a lot of large oak trees that give good shade on most sites. The camp site we had was difficult to back into with large oak limbs overhanging the site. The sewer, water and electric hookups were at the rear of the campsite requiring extra length electric cable and hoses. Extra care is required to avoid damage to big rigs. The park residents and staff are friendly. Recreation facilities were available. Discounts were applied to our registration fee. - Steve77
Dec 2015 - $17.00
I would have given this a higher overall rating, but only lowered that due to the fact that many might find this place just a little too quaint and old school for them. Jean and I Like places that are not rows of rectangles on straight streets, and this park was laid out nicely, is well maintained, and has a barrel load of activities going on every week. Friendly people - you extroverts will enjoy this park. - charlyhors
Jul 2012 - $30.00
We really had a nice time at this park. Everyone was extremely friendly and nice. And the onsite park manager is a gem! Made us feel right at home from the minute we arrived. Our site was a large, level grassy site with plenty of room between us and our neighbors. Power was good, restrooms and showers were very clean and everything in the park looked like it was being well maintained and cared for. - bcbounders
Apr 2011 - $30.00
This is a very friendly, small, over 55 park that is under new ownership and management. This park caters primarily to seasonal residents, but has transient sites available. We really enjoyed our stay. We liked it so much, we bought one of the park models, and plan to stay much of next winter here. We made lots of friends in the few weeks we stayed here. - Bob Shaw
