A slightly upgraded fish camp and trailer park. Grass and weeds not cut routinely during this time of year obviously; not many people here so management doesn't care. Repairs are very slow - if at all; leaking water spigot never did get fixed. Walked around park, and there was a major water leak between cabins flowing out of ground. Office is not manned at all. Dog area is over grown and can't be used unless you have a Great Dane. Looks like more help needed in maintaining this park. Some pads were recently pressure washed looked great; others haven't been cleaned in years. A table is provided, also. Need some kind of management and TLC. Our third visit: time for a review. An extremely quiet, very peaceful place. Staying 2 months instead of 2 weeks this time. Our monthly rate is $475 (cash or check, no credit cards I think). The monthly rate divided by 30 days, explains the $16 nightly rate listed above. Good easy roads coming in, good tree clearance, had some large 90degrees curves but no problems even with a 37ft MH plus Jeep toad. Great security gate closes after hours, has buzzers to staff for visitors and individual codes for entry. Did have to back in to our space, but no problem. Nice level sites, good power, water, and sewer hookup. Picnic table and concrete patio with most. Decent looking and very clean showerhouse / laundry too. Both our phones (Verizon and ATT) work very well here. Satellite TV works well, we have an 'open' site with no obstructions and using fixed dish atop coach, no problems. Due to location (between Orlando and Tampa), we get dozens of channels via digital antenna in addition to DirectTV. I think they have Wi-Fi now, we have our own Mi-Fi so not sure. VERY friendly people, close-knit golf-cart community! Lots of social activities in the two clubhouses (pool tables, games, dinners, dances, even a live music show this week). Most here are 1/2 year, senior snowbirds, no kids except for a few visitors. Long-term residents association, is a plus for all. Has a good working relationship with the owners, no problems here. 1100 acre Lake Lowery is wonderful. Beautiful to view and great to fish! Has a sheltered canal, keep your boat in the water 24/7, for free!!! Only thing that could be considered missing is a pool (but we're snowbirds, so, so what) and an exercise / workout room. But this place is a senior park so neither is really needed I guess. So it's not on the ocean, but it's on a real pretty lake you can fish and keep a boat plus dozens of golf courses nearby. A real Florida jewel, great spot to winter and not outrageously expensive. We camped at Oak Harbor Lodging and RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Very disappointing. All other reviews are misleading. View is great at entrance but park is tired. If you have dogs, avoid this park. Residents have a very stringent pet policy. Dog must either relieve themselves on your site or you can take them by car to the dog walk at campground entrance. You can walk your dog in some other places but it is against policy for the dogs to relieve themselves. Yeah, right!!! If reserving site, do NOT provide credit card information. They do not accept credit cards. Also, bring your red ant treatments. People are friendly here but this is not a park for short timers. We camped at Oak Harbor Lodging and RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

From the moment you drive through the gate and pass down the oak lined lane, set in orange groves, you know you are some place special. Oak Harbor is a little of Florida the way it used to be. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I fished nearly every day on the 1000 acre Lake Lowery. When we weren't fishing we just sat on the dock enjoying the view. The sunrises every morning were spectacular. If you have to go out, you are just a short drive to all the Central Florida Attractions. You won't be disappointed!
