Stayed for one night. I had a pull through site. Great for over night. Cash and checks only, no credit or debit Cards. The site was a not level. Verizon signal was very good. Lots of tree cover, but was able to hook up to satellites. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

We had a quiet stay on the Wed. night/Thu. morning we were there, although the road running out front of the grounds was traveled more than I would have wanted. Lots of trees to give the grounds a comfortable, outdoorsy feel. Bathroom/showers were dated but clean; all the plumbing worked. We had a pull-through site (#3) and had to pull forward a bit to be on level ground. I was disappointed with internet service (the employee I complained to the next morning said "we are too" because of problems uncorrected by their internet service). Essentially, we could not get online. The web sites that I wanted would not load; instead I received "web site cannot be reached" or "authorization needed" messages. I called the campground's phone that night and left a voice message about the problem but never received a call back. I asked for but was not given a discount when we checked out. We returned 2 weeks later and the same thing happened. So, I can only say that if you want internet service, don't come here without first getting reassurances. I would return here even knowing there's no internet service -- unless I desperately needed to get online. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed for one night. I had a pull through site. It is very close to I-75 and is great for over night. They only take cash and checks. NO Credit or Debit Cards. The bathroom was very clean. The staff is nice and the work camper helped me to hitch up in the morning. The site was a not level, needed 2 lynx levelers under one side. Good for 1-2 nights but I would not stay any longer not much around. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We paid our money and were led to the site over horrible roads. The site had junk around it, a trailer on blocks, several fires already going, a tent camper right next to us, basically 5 feet from the hood of our coach. We hooked up and realized we could never stay here. Though the owners were nice, the condition of the place, with junk around and people milling about, made us feel unsafe. We unhooked and pulled out and drove away. Would not stay in this place if they paid us. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

High Springs is a 7 or even an 8 in the category of a place to stay overnight while traveling I-75 north or south. Very easy access from and return to I-75. Friendly and helpful staff. Good price. Internal roads of dirt or gravel no nearby restaurants, no cable TV keep it from being ranked higher. Recent emphasis on grounds maintenance have it looking good for its age. Stayed there in February and again in March, 2016, and will stop again. Sites 7 and 8 particularly good for the overnight, don't-even-unhook crowd. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Stopped by on our way to West Palm. The chap on the phone that assisted us was extremely helpful and secured for us a perfect site # 8. We slipped in after 11 pm and spent a quiet night before leaving the next day at 7am. You literally pull into the site and can pull out onto the road to leave. This sites are not paved and there are some older trailers about the campground but we felt safe and had no issue walking to the office to pay and to the bathhouse. The bathhouse, while dated was spotless and smelled fresh. Extraordinarily easy to get to off the expressway. You can hear the highway noise but it's not overwhelming. You are on the honor system when you check in after hours, you leave a check or cash in the bomb proof lock box at the office.

We will make this or "go to" stop over campground when traveling on I75. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is truly a campground. This park is very very old and overgrown. Had the only pull through site for a big rig. Big plus was easy leveling. You definitely have to dodge the trees both in the campground and the road leading to the campground itself. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Quite a few long term tenants. The problem with this area of Florida is there's just are no alternative places to say. Tried Lake City not much better. Would not stay here again. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

The park is near I-75 and is very convenient if you are traveling north or south. The staff was friendly and our site was fine for our 40' motorhome and towed. The pool area looked nice but we did not use it. We had a good satellite friendly site. We had a very enjoyable overnight stay and we would definitely stay here again. The park has a country setting not too near I-75. Staff was nice and understood we were arriving late. Roads and sites are gravel/grass and tight for a motor home. The park is on a hillside, but sites are mostly level. Plenty of shade and utilities are up to spec...even had sewer. Satellite signal would be hard to establish. We weren't there long enough to use the facilities, but the pool looked inviting. Still haven't decided if we would camp again. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We've stayed at High Springs Campground 3 times on our way to and from GA to So. Fl. It's a wonderful location for our trips - right off I75, but no highway noise. The staff is friendly and helpful. Be aware that they Do Not Take Credit Cards and you can't make a reservation - so call ahead to make certain they have a space. The grounds are very shady with lots of old trees. Sites are pretty well sized and quiet, given it's an RV park. The maintenance could be better - some gravel or more sand added to some of the sites would make them much nicer and the tables could stand to be pressure washed. Bathrooms clean, didn't use the shower. Pool looks nice. Free Wi-Fi wasn't working on last visit. As someone else commented, this is an "old Florida" setting and we find it very comfortable. We'll definitely be stopping back on our next trip thru Fl. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rate reflects a G/S discount. The park is very convenient if you are travelling north or south on I-75. There is plenty of shade with the large oak and pine trees. As others have stated it is very sandy and if it rains it could really be a mess. The roads in the park are in need of repair and are quite narrow. The electric and water were both good. This is what we would call "Old Florida". We probably would stop here again if in the area. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a convenient place to stop. Typical of many campgrounds in Florida that are filled with permanent residents. The owners were very nice. That being said, it was a little tight for a class A motor home. We prefer concrete to park on, this was sandy soil. OK for overnight because of closeness to I-75. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Stopped here on way to Tampa, also on way back home. Super staff, extremely friendly and helpful. Sites are sandy, but it is Fla. It was also super shady. There are open sites for those who need them. Very easy pull-throughs. Definite spot to stop when returning to visit family in Tampa. Good Sam discount. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.
