A very pretty park nestled in the urban area of Hollywood, FL. Staff very friendly. Sites are level asphalt with FHU/30/50 but all utility connections are at the very rear of the sites. Big rigs need multiple stinky-tubes and long water hoses. If your electrical connection is amidships, you better have an extension cord. Charcoal grills, picnic table, large concrete patios. Commuter railroad immediately adjacent the CG but noise was minimal and trains didn't run at night. Paved bike and hiking paths, community swimming pool ($9 daily fee), outdoor exercise equipment in a pavilion, most CG sites have a nice lake view. Laundry $1.75 wash, $0.75 dry. Showers showing their age but acceptable. No propane for sale. Local driving traffic is horrible (keep in mind, you're just north of Miami). Any fender-bender on I-95 grid locks the whole area. Diesel $2.299 at the Mobile station on Sterling just east of I-95. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Fifth Wheel.

Paved roads, level paved spots, no shade, cable available, picnic table and concrete pad. Our only issue was that we tried to come in at noon and were told "not until 3:00". There is no bending of this rule. We had to sit in the parking lot by the office, run our generator to eat lunch. Otherwise a very nice park with plenty of activities for kids. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.

As others have mentioned, a nice park with level, concrete pads adjoining the county park facilities. Pool was not open even though it was in the 90s, our escort to the park told us it was "seasonal." Huh? A bit tricky entering the park through the main gate which has toll-like booths, 9-1/2 feet wide. Keep to the right for the widest area. Go 3/4 of the way around the circle after the booths and continue straight to the visitor center to check in, there is an area where you can pull off and disconnect your toad. See if you can get someone to escort you to your site, we did (by playing stupid) and it was very useful. There are speed bumps and plenty of pedestrians and cars along the roadway in the park facilities before getting to the camping area. We planned to leave early Saturday morning to avoid traffic, but had to delay a couple of hours since the camping area was blocked off to accommodate a 5K run. Yes, there is significant train noise, but it doesn't bother us. There is a lot of congestion in the area off I-95, just be patient, you will get there. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sites 12, 13, and 14 seem to be double wide pull thru sites, I would try to get one of these if possible. The park offers a $10 discount to Broward county residents, but not any other Florida counties.

This park has something for everyone, it is a county park that is family oriented.. Nice level concreted sites with a patio...big rig friendly.. Wifi was adequate and although they had cable hookup I used my antenna and got a lot more channels.. Some reviews didn't like the trains going by but it didn't bother us and we were next to the tracks.. Utilities were very good.. Park was clean, restrooms were clean with plenty of hot water.. Easy access to 95 or the turnpike.. Convenient to stores and restaurants.. We would stay again and bring our bikes next time.. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful RV option. Located in the middle of Hollywood, it is very convenient to restaurants and entertainment activities. The sites are shaded and the park is generally quiet. There are lots of park activities for children and adults.

The site where we were parked was right next to a commuter train that came through every 4 hours - 24/7. That is our only complaint about the site, so you might want to request being away from that track when you book your reservation. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.

Camping ground within a large council owned park. The camping area is well set out with concrete drive throughs or back in sites, and concrete patio areas. All full hook up. Some have view of lake, which cannot be used for swimming. Excellent laundry facilities. Camping fee gives access to the water park which is wonderful. Some consider train noise invasive however it did not concern us at all. Security on site and regularly drives through camping area. Highly recommend this camp. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Travel Trailer.

Probably best campground if you plan on visiting Miami. It's "only" around 25miles from Miami Beach. Excellent access to Highway I95. Great park to walk around or running a bit. The only thing we didn't like was that Pool only opens in weekends. Overall, pretty good city park. Not too many amenities close to the campground, but you can enjoy walking/running around the park and at the swimming pool. Condition of the facilities were very good, clean and tidy. Laundry and bathroom were clean and worked good. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.

Have used this as a stopover on a couple of occasions. Nice pitches well laid out and great if you want a pull thru'. Only downside is the RV park is close to the CSX/Tri Rail railroad tracks, so be ready for an early morning wake up call! We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Fifth Wheel.

Very basic county park. There was a lot of activities available within the park. Quiet except for the train that was about 150 feet away. No shade. Parked on a concrete pad and picnic table. Spot was level and paved roads. Convenient to town. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.

We come here at least once a year and have always found the park to be in excellent condition and the staff exceptional. Our only issue is the trains that go next to the park. At times they can be quite loud, but they really haven't kept us awake. The $30.00 rate is a May 1 to Sept. 1 special rate that also includes the water park. If you have kids, the water park would keep them occupied. As previously stated, the area is great. Lots of things to do from great restaurants, the beach, and shopping. Traffic can be heavy at times in the area, but overall an easy area to get around in. We will definitely return. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.

If the pool had been open, I would have given them a 10. Paved roads with level concrete RV pads. Very clean. Felt more like an RV resort than a municipal campground. You get some noise from the road and the train, but you get used to them. Paths in the adjoining park are fantastic for cycling or walking. Traffic lights make access to the park easy, and shopping and restaurants are handy. The one thing that really surprised me is that most guests are there for the winter, and the majority are from Québec. A very friendly and welcoming group. I inquired about reserving a spot for next year, and even in February there were only a few sites available in December and March. Definitely a place to which we would return. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.

County park is large and has a lake surrounded by paved hiking/bike paths. Campground is located in the SE corner of park. Well spaced, paved, level sites with large concrete patios adjacent to pull-through and back-in sites. Small trees provide little shade. Amtrak/CSX/Tri-Rail tracks on east side of campground next to cyclone security fence. Several Tri-Rail trains every hour from 5:30 am until 11 pm. Road noise from I-95 on the east and Sheridan street on the south side. Air-conditioned showers are clean, well kept, and secured with combination lock. Coin-operated laundry facilities are adjacent. No security gate but periodic roving night security guard patrols entire park which is locked at night. There is good security lighting around the campground road and between sites. Very slow free wi-fi service with intermittent internet availability, frequently the log-in authorization page would not even load. Good Verizon broadband cellular service and excellent over the air broadcast digital TV signals. Restaurants and convenience store are close and grocery store is accessible by bicycle. Close to Hollywood Beach which has county beachfront park with day parking or to state park in Dania Beach. About 60% french-speaking residents with mix of RV types. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.

This is a county park. We live nearby and camped for 3 nights in order to clean our camper before returning it to storage. The campground is paved with concrete pads and most sites are pull thrus. The showers are some of the nicest and largest we've ever seen in a campground. The dressing area had a 5 ft long bench and plenty of hooks. They were running a summer special --$30 including water park access (normally $8 per person). The water park underwent recent renovations, so was closed for awhile. No reservations needed in summer, but I was told it fills up in the winter. There is NO shade - so awnings are a must. Laundry is reasonably price at $1.75 wash and 75 cents dry, but laundry room is hot! Trains were a bit annoying, but we got used to them. Park has nice biking paths and playground. My only real complaint is that there was a "long term" camper there whose site was a trash pit. And their enormous dog got loose one day and was a nuisance. For that reason I lowered my rating a bit. Otherwise, this campground was clean and conveniently located and suited our needs. We would stay there again. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Fifth Wheel.

Just to clarify a couple of complaints from another review. There is a fence between the walking trail and the campground. Sure someone could still jump over, but quite doubtful. The reason for the small trees is because a hurricane destroyed all the bigger ones (mostly palms) a few years ago. I have to agree on the trains (Tri-Rail), they come through quite often and always blow their whistle. For us it is not a problem. For Wi-Fi we have found it to be excellent, quite fast and reliable. They have security that checks through the park quite often, especially at night. We have been to this park at least 5 or 6 times and have always found everything to be in excellent condition. The pool is only open on week-ends in the winter season. When we come to this area this is our go-to park. Electric and water is very good and hook ups are on a pedestal. The sewer connection is in back so you may need a long hose for connection. We would return to this park. We camped at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.
