3 Parks near Inglis, Florida
Feb 2013 - $20.00
Nightly rate is based on the weekly rate. This is a mobile home/RV park, however, unlike most the RVs are in a separate area. All new 20/30/50 amp utilities on sites with sewer/water and cable TV. Nice and quiet park with a lot of mature oaks and palms. Pool and laundry. Verizon phone and MiFi worked well. Crystal River is 8 miles south and Rainbow Springs State Park is 20 miles. We will stay here again if in the area. - ddtuttle
Feb 2012 - $250.00
We stayed here of a total of two months and had a very enjoyable winter at Aurora Acres. Jean and Shirley were very friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. The security there is one of the best I've seen. The campground was clean and the yearly residents there were very quiet even the children were quiet. You never knew they were around. If you are looking for a quiet place to spend your winter,we highly recommend this place. The entire time we were residing there, there were never any loud parties and no one was wondering the park at night. I felt extremely safe there. The only thing they didn't have is a laundromat, which there are a few in Crystal River just down the road. We will be going back, hopefully next year to spend another winter at a wonderful RV park. Thanks again Jean and Shirley for making our winter such an enjoyable one. Hope to see you next year. :) Patty - Patty K
Jun 2011 - $26.00
Stayed there last night and it was a very quiet campground. It seems to be a work in progress, but we sure slept well. In fact we slept in because it was so quiet. - CMcgirr
May 2008 - $35.00
I was to stay at least a month, but had enough after 1 night, place was a joke. I personalty wouldn't have trusted the employees as far as I could throw them. I noticed drug activity and also a bar located on the campground where locals visit, Police were there twice during my stay serving papers to other residents and one was arrested. I had big rig and had to get on top to clear the power lines and trees. Was told there would be 50 amp but only 30 was there and water lines leaked badly needs lots of work. - RoadRambler
Jan 2008 - $35.00
New manager and owner. The place needs a LOT of work. Very run down. The staff is nice and helpful. They are constantly working on the place. Nice location but too small of a park for my needs. They had a lot of permanent residences that did not contribute favorable to the image of the park. Didn't have any activities scheduled while we were there. Pool was closed for work as was the recreation room. The washers and dryers were a joke. I must say the owner and staff are trying to improve it but it has a long ways to go. I gave them a "3" because of the effort otherwise it would have been a "1". - twolees
Apr 2015 - $17.00
recently the park was sold by the bank and is now "Gulf Coast RV Resort" but old website is down and new one is not online yet. Most sites are very roomy, wifi is free but can be unpredictable. We have stayed there each winter for several winters and are staying again this winter. - kenp
Feb 2015 - $17.00
During our stay Jan-March I can note a few pros and cons. At that time, this campground is operated by a management company for a bank. Consequently, the site manager, who listened, could not correct larger problems. Small problems were addressed.
This is an attractive park. It is convenient to attractions in the area. Parking is on gravel or grass and sites have cement patios and picnic tables. Most sites are large and many have shade trees. There is a large fenced dog run. The park insist you clean up after your dog, little or no tolerance about this and the campers do comply. The park does organize a few activities and the campers add their own (handicrafts, cards, weekly dinners at local restaurants).
Standard utilities are fine. The wifi was unreliable. If there was not an interruption in service, the bandwidth proved inadequate. The signal is strong. The restroom/shower is HC accessible however inadequate for the size of the park. Too often the shower needed cleaning. No see ems are a constant companion. The water treatment area is noisy.
Rumor was improvements were coming and there were active buyers. We would stay here again if the wifi was upgraded and the noise from the water treatment area was mitigated. - gumper
Dec 2014 - $17.00
Here for the winter season so rate reflects monthly rate of $500. That's all inclusive (electric, cable, FHU, WiFi). I'd give this park a 10 if the bank who owns this park would find a better management company or better yet, turn the park management over to the staff that's on site. The staff is terrific and really do all they can to make things right, but the management company has no idea about RV parks and won't do what needs to be done to really service the guests. Older reviews say good WiFi - not any longer. Hasn't worked since we got here. Once the park has more than a handful of trailers, you can't get on so you better rely on your own mifi or forget internet access. The pool is supposed to be heated, but its kind of sketchy. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. There is no pool cover, so the heat escapes and after a couple cool days, the pool can be quite cold until the heater (when it works) has time to warm it up again. It is unfortunate that the management company (hired by the bank as the park is bank owned) is really bad and knows absolutely nothing about running an RV park. The park really need a meeting room or clubhouse and activities. The staff on site are separate from the management company and couldn't be nicer or more helpful, but as I said earlier, if the bank was smart they'd just let the staff runs the place and stop wasting their money on a poor management company, and spend it instead on upgrading the WiFi, adding a clubhouse or gathering room for activities, and getting a pool cover. The regulars have tried to get activities going on their own, but without a place to congregate it's hard to do. Another annoying thing is the signs on each loop have the wrong site numbers on them. There is no one to guide guests to their site so most times you see trailers or Motorhomes driving in circles trying to figure out where their site is. It would be nice if they had a "Work Kamper" who could lead people to their site. It's really a shame as the park grounds are pretty and it's an excellent location. - LovinFT
