Long and wide concrete pads that have a picnic table make this a good overnight stop. As a previous person stated it is noisy (jets, music, etc.) so it is not a good long term stay place. No trees make this a very "sterile" environment. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Very convenient to a very large outdoor shopping center.

It might be the newest park in Jacksonville but its not new. The cracked and worn concrete sites and clean but in need of upgrading restroom/showers show its age. In total its an OK park but the noise will keep me from returning. The previously referenced airplane noise is slightly annoying, but the bar on the adjacent flea market site is unbelievable. The music started at about noon and continued all afternoon and evening making outdoor use of our site impossible and conversation or tv watching inside the rv difficult. Not sure when it stopped, I went to bed with ear plugs and a sleeping pill at 11pm with the bass still pounding. It might be better if I wasn't there over a weekend but I don't think I'll chance it. We'll go elsewhere next time. To be fair, the music volume went down about 10pm but it was still too loud. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

All sites are pull throughs and it is very convenient to I-95 for an overnight stop. The desk person was very friendly and allowed us to use Passport America even though they generally do not start that discount until Nov. 1st. All sites are level and have a cement pad. WiFi and cable are included and for $10 you can wash your rig at your site. There is a huge weekend flea market adjacent to the campground. They also have a very nice pool. One exit south on I-95 is every possible store and restaurant you can imagine. Due to the location there is road noise and also military jets flying overhead during the day, but I didn't find that bothersome. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $44.00
This is a big park with level concrete pads. Picnic tables and benches are concrete also. The park sits directly under the path for the Jacksonville Airport, which we were not aware of. Easy off I-95. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $44.00
We've stayed here many times because it is so convenient to I-95. Nothing new to add to previous posts except that the plane noise is not awful unless a military jet comes through, then watch out! Wi-Fi is abysmally slow. Clean, level, concrete sites are a plus. It does seem pricey but there is a lot of concrete and that's not inexpensive. For a 45' motorhome, it's fine. We've never stayed more than overnight. Good Sam discount. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

We have been coming to this campground for the past eight years and we have watched it slowly deteriorate. It's fine if you want a quick pull through spot for the night although they charge too much. Sites are tight for big rigs towing. Some sites near the office have light poles on the front left corner of the sites making it impossible to pull through due to the narrowness of the access road. Make sure you request a site without a pole or you will have to unhook and back out of the pull through site. Will not stay here again. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

This is a big beautiful park with asphalt roads and level concrete pads. Picnic tables and benches are concrete which is nice. If you want peace and quiet, this is not the place. The park sits directly under the glide path for the Jacksonville Airport. You are never told this. The posted speed limit is 5 mph but the prevailing speed of long term residents into the park is 20-40 mph. It is hazardous and unsafe. The park desperately needs speed bumps. The gym is sparse and the minimal equipment needs to be maintained. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

All concrete pull thrus, nice and wide. Not sure about prior comment about narrow turns. Plenty of big rigs with toads in the sites and watched half a dozen pull in later with no trouble. Nicely maintained, no shade, but good grass and shrubs. Pool was clean and open, though a bit chilly in early April. Staff efficient, if not particularly welcoming. WiFi strong signal but way too low bandwidth for the number of guests. Depending on the time of day and number of users, it can work fine or it can exhibit very slow loading of webpages. OK to access email. Don't even attempt a video, not even a short you tube. Electric and water fine. Sewer has small sloped collar, so might need an extension. Convenient access to I-95 and weekend flea market. Not much else nearby but great for an overnight stop. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

Price reflects Passport America discount. Park has easy access from I-95. Airport noise was very loud but did not seem to keep us awake at night. Lots of long term folks, speeding rigs and cars, and intermittent WiFi signals were the negatives. Pool looked nice, and for a FHU paved site, so was the price. Will definitely stay again. Large, clean campground. Adjacent to a [seemingly related] Flea Market operation ... which was not the greatest. Full services. Friendly staff. Only downsides are its proximity to I-95 and it is on the departure patter from a local airport. However, having stayed in two other Jacksonville campgrounds, I'd opt for returning to Pecan anytime. Nice concrete pads with a concrete little table & bench. My cable was a little fuzzy but worked. The WiFi worked okay. Seemed to be several long-term sites there, but they were friendly and the sites were clean. There was road noise but not super awful. The airport traffic not that bad either. Nice for an overnight. Staff was friendly. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

Would really like to give this a higher rating, but just cleaned a massive clog of hair out of the shower. All pull thru. All paved with picnic tables. Landscaped. Helpful staff. Fast check in. Could log in to Wi-Fi but it was so slow I gave up and used my own. Convenient to airport and major freeways. One exit to shopping center that has grocery, clothing, pet food store, restaurants, etc. There is airport noise. The only time I heard it was midmorning when several military jets flew over. Was not there on the weekend, so can't speak to the flew market noise. It is open on weekends only. Would definitely return and hope the showers are better. In every other way, it was a clean attractive place to use as a home base or overnight. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

Real nice overnight. Paved roads and concrete pads. Great flea market next door open on weekends. Very easy off and on I-95. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

The nightly rate is based on Good Sam discount. We spent one night here in what they call the overflow sites. They are pull through sites near the office. It must have rained fairly hard prior to our arrival, because though the campground roads were paved, there was mud surrounding our site. The campground is listed as big rig friendly, but it would be impossible to make many of the turns in there. Many of the sites looked as if the owner/renters had been there for years. The sites were not particularly large, but one could extend an awning if so desired. A cafe was on-site with delivery to sites up until 7 p.m. The food was adequate and the portions for the price were good. We'd likely not return, even though it was convenient. Easy access from I-95; used as stopover and to explore Amelia Island. Intermittent noise from air traffic, depending on flight patterns. Lots of semi-permanent. Looks like a storage facility for some. Not a resort in any sense of the word, but we would stay again if in the area. Rate reflects Good Sam discount.
