Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $37.00
We stayed here for an overnight stop on the way to Ft. Lauderdale. It's about a 20 minute drive from the Turnpike but relatively easy to get to. There are limited pull through spots for overnight/short term stays. We couldn't get satellite reception due to the trees and there is no cable connection even though there is a cable wire at the hookup. No antennae TV available either. It's a very pretty and well kept park but there is nothing to do unless you fish and nothing close by. It was nice and quiet for an overnight stay. We would stay here again if traveling to South Florida. We camped at Lake Marian Paradise RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: December, 2005 - $36.00
We've been coming to this site since the 1960's and it will always be a fish camp to us. It has been well maintained with each new owner but not without progress and higher prices. 10:00 a.m. check out seemed a bit early too. There are now many permanent residents in newer modular homes being built thus pushing out the long time seasonal visitors. I missed them hanging out in the bait house with their great stories to tell and poking fun at each other. As the bait house was empty I guess all that experience is passed on now. Fishing is the main stay here and it's a friendly fishing spot to launch your boat and clean your catch. But the cost to camp here is the same whether you have a boat to launch or fish from the bank. Hmmmm. Oh there's a few grand kids here that come to visit Grandma's house and have fun but I think it's more for a ride in Grandpa's boat and not for the shuffle board. Since it's one of the few spots to access Lake Marian I'll be back I'm sure. We camped at Lake Marian Paradise RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo
We enjoyed this place because you have a 8 mile long lake to fish. We had a boat slip
available for our boat. Lots of great fishing on the Lake. The only negative thing it is 34 miles to Walmart. They have a small store ,gas station, post
office and two restaurants in Kenansville. Very quiet place. We camped at Lake Marian Paradise RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
