What a nice place but that's what it should be for the price. Our site was perfect for us, cement and uncluttered with owners stuff. Check-in went smooth. Satellite wouldn't work and cable was missing many channels that were listed on the guide. I would stay here again. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bluewater Key Staff presented themselves as very friendly, courteous and professional. I was extremely impressed with the smooth check in process, starting with the call checking on my arrival time to the actual guiding to the site and getting me backed in perfectly! Site 50 was the perfect pick for my needs. While this site does not have all of the amenities of many other sites, I really did not have the need for those upgrades. All of the hook ups worked without any issues including the cable TV (I did not need the wireless internet so I cannot comment on that amenity). The site is exactly like the photo provided by the owner. The tropical vegetation which created the border of the site was a nice touch that provides some privacy. The Tiki hut with the table/chair set along with the great walk out dock fit my daily needs to the perfectly. It was a wonderful spot for a "cup of java" welcoming the dawn of the day. The dog park was nicely manicured and kept fairly clean (unfortunately there will always be some people who don't clean up after their dogs). One other dog issue I did notice was there were a few dogs I noticed not on leashes (again, there will always be some people who believe they don't need to follow the rules). I found it to be the perfect location to take in the "Key West" sights. The only recommendation I can think of is the sign for the RV Resort itself could be better. I hope to camp here again someday in the future! We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Beside all the Key West sights we took a short drive north and found the "Fat Albert" Blimp as well as Saddlebunch Keys (Old State Rd 4a or 939A) which was a cool back road to see some wildlife

Second time we stayed here. Gated RV resort, welcome center in the front before gate. Friendly and helpful staff. They escort you to your site and help you park. We stayed at a Bay Front Gold site that was all gravel and level. Plenty of room for 40ft and tow to park. The site had a tiki hut and outside lanai with good seating. This site had a dock. Sites are close together, but most have landscaping to provide privacy. Good size pool is located with a club house and laundry room. Laundry room has modern washers, and good working dryers. 14 miles from key west, therefore a quiet place. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a resort! We stayed for nine nights in early May on site number 65, this is a Bay Front Platinum site. Check in was the most efficient we have ever experienced, they direct you to your site and show you everything in the tiki. The site was more then large enough for our 33' class A motorhome and toad, electric, water and sewer hookups are on either side so you have the option to pull in or back in. We also liked that paver area that was the entire site, this kept the motorhome very clean inside. The tiki hut was mostly enclosed with translucent windscreens, this made viewing great but knocked down the wind that we had for a couple of days. This also allowed us to place temporary gates up to keep our dogs inside with us. The tiki was fully furnished with dining table, chairs, couch, end tables and two loungers, it also had ceiling fans, lighting, a full length kitchen counter, two drawer refrigerator, ice maker, cable television. kitchen sink with hot and cold water. Off is the tiki is a patio / sitting area, two loungers and enough room for more chairs. The private dock has a ladder for access to the water area for swimming / kayaking / paddle boarding. There is also a floating dock for a jetski. There is a freshwater hose located by the dock / patio area, this made for hosing off feet and kayaks a breeze. The privacy was excellent between sites with beautiful landscaping and lighting. All utilities worked excellent. This is very close to the leashed dog park, this makes quick and easy access for your dog. This site is also in one of the widest parts of the park, so pulling in / backing out is not an issue since there since there is so much room. Shading / filtered light was nice, this kept the motorhome a little cooler inside. The staff was amazing, lots of where to go, see and do tips. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very well maintained luxury RV Resort, staff was friendly and helpful at check in. Interior roads are all paved and big rig access is good. Our site was very spacious, plenty of space for our towed, lots of privacy between sites due to the wonderful landscaping. Each site is privately owned and each one is decorated differently, we had a lovely screened in Tiki Hut with patio seating, a cute Tiki Bar, a private dock and a truly spectacular view out over the water. Our pull in pad was gravel, with a concrete patio and wooden deck. It was very quiet at night but during the day there was some noise from jets at the nearby base. The bathrooms and laundry are adequate but minimal as they expect you to use your self contained facilities. There is a lovely pool with a small clubhouse, and security was 24/7 which we liked. Very pet friendly with a dog park, doggie bags and disposal station. They were also very strict on the pick up after your pet policy. Standard WiFi is slow, if you want a higher speed you have to pay an extra $5 a day, which seems a little petty. We would stay here again, however, not all sites are equal, so do your research carefully on this Resort. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It's 10 miles from Key West, so close to unique shops, great places to eat and endless sightseeing to enjoy.

What is there to say, this place lives up to the website that you book through. The staff was both courteous and the outdoor guys where friendly. BTW, the outdoor folks never quit, all day long they are running the roads picking up trash, trimming stuff & basically making everything look good all the time, even weekends we seen them out.

We knew going in that we had to switch sites mid-stay. The site we moved to had just had the coconuts removed so the RV was safe from damage. The trimming-truck had sprayed a little hydraulic fluid out on the pavers. This was easily avoided by us as we only found it after getting set up and onsite. This was the only issue we had.

Get up, coffee on the dock, fishing off the dock & sunset off the dock. The place is perfect. We WILL be going back. Gated entrance with your own code to enter.

The roads are very wide and easily manageable with whatever you are driving. Most sites we seen are both pull in and back in. This way you can plan how the outdoor living area suits you the best.

Vegetation was between sites to where you could not see and mostly could not hear the neighbors. This made the experience all the more personal. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Eat at Square Grouper, a few miles north of the resort & contact Native Charters (305-849-2873) out of Sugarloaf Marina which is 2 miles north. The food was excellent. The fishing was great but what made it better was Chris Duncan's personality. He was generous and patient to both the wife and I.

We have stayed here now for several visits and usually during their off-season and have been thrilled with this park. This is an owner rental program park, and there are two different groups to rent from. A group of owners broke away from the original rental program and formed their own, and we always rent from this group. They are friendly, very accommodating and are always there to answer any questions and take care of any issues. We were a little disappointed in the overall upkeep of the park, which seemed a bit lacking in attention by the maintenance crew. The pool was extremely cloudy leaving us to wonder if the chemicals were being done correctly and if the pool was actually safe to swim in. The front gate broke while we were here, so the controlled security was not there, but for the most part, these things happen, and we still felt safe. This is a beautiful park....and we WILL stay there again and again! So close to Key West, and many nice restaurants. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is truly an RV resort. Read the directions on their website, as there are instructions as to notifying them of your approach, and where to locate the resort driveway. They greet you at the gate, escort you to your site and help you park. Plenty of room to maneuver big rigs. We had a beautiful site located on the bay with enclosed tiki hut and dock. Mature palms and other native plants separated our site from our neighbors. The parking pad was gravel and the driveway/patio covered by pavers. The dog walk area had plenty of grass, with bags and trash cans. Located near the pool is a good size laundry room but wash and dry will cost $2 each. The park is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a paved trail that parallels A1A located outside front gate. Only 14 miles from Key West. We will be back!! One of a kind beautiful on the water campsites. We had

our own Tiki hut and dock. Spotlessly maintained, helpful

courteous staff. Very nice pool.

A few too many barking dogs this visit,

and they allowed a group of four very loud

motorcycles to stay there. However we'd certainly go

back on our next visit, and hope for an improvement. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a super park which has sites that are privately owned and rented out. We had a tiki hut with TV, refrigerator, and ice maker. Also dining table and couch and chairs. We were on the water with a private boat dock and a swim ladder. Only 14 miles to Key West. The staff was great and assisted in parking and hooking up. Although it was pricey it was worth the extra cost. Would stay again. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Each site is a little different and appeared to be different in size. Our water front site was concrete all the way across where some the RVs were parked on rocks or bricks. The docks all appear to be different. Each site has a wooden picnic table plus different outdoor furniture depending on what the owner had done. Our site had a round table for 4 plus a rectangular table for that could seat 6, 6 chairs, a sink, a tiki hut and outdoor cupboards all on a raised wooden deck. Some of the sites are only for a Motor Home and others like we had have hookups on both sides to accommodate either 5th wheels/ trailers which back in or Motor Homes which are driven in facing the water. It was windy during our entire 4 day stay and apparently this occurs frequently because the huts have wind screens. We found that when there was another 5th wheel next to us, on the driver's side, the spacing between us was acceptable but when a Motor Home was placed in that spot they were very close with slides out. This is a great location for visiting Key West and the nicest park we saw in the entire Keys. The one negative we found was that there was no air conditioning in the laundry room. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Good cell signal, AT&T.. Our site was on the canal side the water front sites have great views if u can get one.. Plenty of room to maneuver our 36 ft mh.. Great place to relax under the tiki hut on most sites, close to a lot of great places to eat or seafood markets close buy your own and cook.. Would definitely stay again if in the area.. Very nice park. With a large fifth wheel getting into some of the lots can be challenging, but when you pull in they send people to assist directing you. Our lot wasn't waterfront but worked out perfect as it was breezy during our stay but we didn't really notice at our site. Facilities and staff are top notch. We will try to stay again and would recommend to any of our friends. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed almost three weeks in this lovely park. Two different sites, #16, a "canal" site, followed by #27, a "pool" site. Most popular sites are "open water" but there is usually a strong breeze on the open water side and so we prefer the more sheltered canal and pool sites. Our pool site couldn't have been nicer, upgraded with TWO flat screen TVs in its tiki and new furnishings! Just steps away from the pool. The pool is not large but adequate and never crowded. No activities to speak of while we were there in November. Received a 10% discount by reserving and paying by check in advance through Rita at bluewaterkey.net. Made a difference since we had a lengthy stay. Don't know if this discount applies during high season, which begins December 1. If you have dogs, there is a very attractive dog walk area in the center of the park. Also the area behind the pool sites along the canal is a good dog walking area and also equipped with poo bags and trash cans. However, there is no true "dog park" where dogs can go unleashed. To my mind, this is the best RV park in the Keys. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots going on in Key West in November -- Fantasy Fest, the Parrothead convention, speedboat races. The park was full, even before high season, with its high rates, began on December 1. Bluewater Key is never cheap but a lot more reasonable if you can be flexible in your dates and come before 12/1.
